Justin telling you about how he actually felt about Hannah

"Justin, I know that you and Hannah were more than friends, I can see it. I just want to help, and I think it would help if you just talk to me." I said trying to calm him down from yelling.

"You don't know anything Anna, just stop trying to-"

"Help, Justin, I don't know anything because you haven't told anyone. I saw the way you used to talk to her, I see the look on your face when you talk about her. You said it was just a one time thing. Your first date with her, at the park, that was though out, that was more!"

Justin sat on his bed staring at me. I was sitting on Clay's, thank god Clay wasn't here. I was trying to help Justin and get him to open up about Hannah. If Clay were here, there would be no chance for this conversation. Clay was also in love with Hannah, we all knew that. 

I had been friends with Justin for along time, so I could see it. I also knew he would never show or talk about it in order to protect Clay.

"I am going to go then," I say. I stand from Clay's bed then begin to walk out the door. I shut the door behind me and start making my way down the hall.

"She was different, she was special, but I can't tell you about how I felt because maybe it was wrong. These trials are showing me that maybe I didn't know her, that I had this idea her. Clay thought she was perfect, Bryce thought she was just as dirty as ever girl. I thought she was nice, but adventurous. She can't be all three things!"

I stop walking and turn to face Justin who is standing at his door.

"Hannah was the girl you thought she was. We see everyone; differently, it's how the world is. Maybe she had a few secrets, but that doesn't change anything. She was the girl you thought she was, she was your friend, the time you spent together was real, and different, different from anyone else."

"I was in love with her."

"I know Justin, I know."

"But the girl, I knew. Clay was in love with the girl he knew. She is the same girl, yet she is so different."

"I think that was the real Hannah, she was only herself around you and Clay. She was given this other identity with others because of what happened, she was playing into that identity a little to try and fix things. Nothing between you two was broken though, so she didn't have to play games, she was herself."

"You think so?"

"Yeah, I do."

"She loved the little things, her sarcastic comments were her way of telling things, that I needed to hear without actually saying them, that one; makes sense."

"I think, I think I know what you mean."

"She loved life, she loved to laugh, she loved being herself, and she knew just how to bring you in, how to get you to like her, who to drive you crazy. Then things fell apart, then everything fell apart."

"I know."

"You think I knew the real Hannah?"

"I don't know, I think you and Clay had the best idea though."
