Michela dragged Nicholas to the nearest ring store in the Queen Center mall. Michela looked for someone to help her and found a worker.

        "Excuse me, can you please help us?"

        The man turned around, he looked like he could be almost a year older than Michela. He had golden eyes and black hair with the sides shaved. The man smiled at the two.

        "Of course, what can I do for you, Miss?"

        Nicholas did not like this person. Nicholas slung his arm around Michela's shoulder. He smiled at the guy.

        "We are looking for an engagement ring,"

        The guy almost frowned in envy, the girl in front of him was beautiful. He smiled anyway.

        "Congratulations, what kind of ring are you two looking at,"

        Michela gagged,

        "Oh ewwww...no  no no! Not Nickey and I...we are best friends....Gross!"

        Nicholas gave her an amused look and the guy smiled.

        "Oh, I'm sorry for the mistake...I'm Alec,"

        Michela smiled at Alec.

        "Michela, and this idiot who's proposing to his girlfriend is Nicholas,"

        Alec smiled at Nicholas.

        "So what kind of ring are you going for Nicholas?"

        Nicholas smiled.

        "Well, it would be like the normal, it has to have a turquoise gem though, to match her eyes."

        Michela smiled and nodded.

        "I'm here to control him and make sure that he picks an amazing one,"

        Alec chuckled and nodded.

        "Alright, follow me...I think I have one in mind,"

        Alec really wanted to impress Michela so he had to think of the perfect one...he led them to the display and handed Nicholas the box.

        "Let me know what you think,"

        Nicholas opened it and Michela gasped....it was perfect:

Nicholas nodded.

        "This is perfect,"

        Alec smiled.

        "It looks great...tell you what,"

        Both looked at him, Alec gave them a dazzling smile.

        "I see the way you love your girlfriend...this ring is usually around $3,800....for you two, it's only $1,090.99."

        Michela and Nicholas' eyes widened. Michela immediately hugged Alec.

        "Oh my god, thank you so much!!!"

        Alec smiled into the hug, wanting Michela to be his. Michela broke out of the hug too quickly and Alec smiled at her.

        "Yeah, no problem...friends?"

        He stuck out his hand. Michela smiled and nodded.

        "Friends,"

        Nicholas did not get a good feeling about this guy. He nodded at him and smiled.

        "Thanks, man,"

        Alec nodded.

        "Hey, anything for love,"

        Nicholas saw that he looked at Michela when he said the word love. (Thoughts italicized)

        "Oh, you have got to be kidding me,"

        Nicholas wanted to threaten Alec right then and there, he can NOT interrupt Justella. Michela smiled.

        "Well, we should get going! Much to do!"

        Alec smiled and nodded.

        "Hey, is it alright if I get your number? I mean...so we can become friends? Also if you need any help with planning I can help,"

        Nicholas wanted to answer for her but Michela smiled and nodded.

        "Sure!"

        Nicholas wanted to facepalm at his best friend's stupidity and obliviousness. Justin was slightly obvious with his feelings for her...but Alec was hardcore flirting with her! Nicholas tugged Michela away after exchanging numbers with Alec. Michela smiled in the car.

        "That was nice! Now we got the ring,"

        Nicholas facepalmed.

        "Sometimes you really amaze me, Mickey,"

        Michela looked at him in confusion.

        "I didn't do anything,"

        Nicholas chuckled and shook his head in amusement.

        "Let's just get back...do you want to go home now?"

        Michela shrugged.

        "I don't know,"

        Nicholas chuckled and nodded.

        "I'll drop you off...it is getting late,"

        Michela smiled and nodded. Nicholas looked at her.

        "Let me know if Alec texts you,"

        Michela looked at him and tilted her head.

        "Why?"

        Nicholas smiled.

        "He gave me a weird vibe,"

        Michela shrugged.

        "Alright,"

        Nicholas finally parked outside her apartment. He turned to her.

        "Thanks, Mickey, for everything...I don't know what I would do without you,"

        Michela smiled at him,

        "Probably crash and burn,"

        Nicholas rolled his eyes.

        "Oh, hah hah,"

        Michela laughed. She got out and before closing the door, looked at her best friend.

        "Nickey...Ashley is very lucky to have you...I know I am,"

        Nicholas smiled at his best friend.

        "Goodnight Mickey,"

        "Goodnight Nickey."

        Nicholas drove away and Michela went into her home.

At the Belasco house

        Nicholas opened the door to his house and was immediately joined by everyone. Jesse frowned.

        "Where's Mickey??"

        Nicholas looked at his own little brother in fake offense.

        "What? No Hi, Nick nice to see you back! Just where's Mickey? Wow,"

        They laughed. Diana smiled,

        "Michela had to go home, so what's the news on the ring?"

        Nicholas smiled hugely. He took out the small box and opened it. Everyone was in awe at the beautiful ring. Argee smiled proudly.

        "That must have cost a fortune, I'm happy for you Nicholas,"

        Nicholas smiled even larger.

        "It only cost $1,090.99,"

        Everyone but Jesse and Brandon looked at him in shock. Justin tilted his head.

        "Really?"

        Nicholas nodded, then scratched the back of his head.

        "Weellll...mostly because of Mickey,"

        Now everyone was confused. Diana smiled at her son.

        "How so?"

        Nicholas frowned.

        "This guy who works there seemed a little interested in her, I dunno...but he gave it to us at a cheaper price and they exchanged numbers,"

        Now everyone was shocked. Jesse and Brandon even more. Jesse looked at his brother.

        "Wait...so she likes him?"

        Justin frowned at the question, starting to feel discouraged again about Michela actually liking him back. Nicholas immediately saw the frown and shook his head widely.

        "No no no...Michela didn't even know that he was flirting with her,"

        Justin's lips twitched upward. Diana smiled softly.

        "That girl wouldn't know if someone was in love with her unless they held a sign up in her face,"

        Everyone laughed. Argee nodded.

        "Well, all of you should get some sleep now, it's been a long day...Nicholas, do you know the two who will be baking everything?"

        Nicholas smirked.

        "Yes, yes I do...but I will tell them tomorrow,"

        Everyone nodded and went to their rooms, two people dreaming of a girl that they are in love with, one of them not even realizing that he does.
