To say everyone was excited was an understatement. Nicholas was running around finishing up the decorations around the house for the small mini Halloween party that they were having before the big masquerade thing later. Jesse bounded down the steps,

        "NICK! I'm ready!"

        Nicholas looked up and smiled at the hunter costume that Jesse had on. Jesse smiled,

        "I like your Joker costume,"

        Nicholas smiled at his brother,

        "I worked hard on mine and Justin's costume, I'm proud of it,"

        Jesse laughed and nodded,

        "Brandy is gonna be a hunter too!"

        Nicholas smiled and nodded,

        "Two hunters, nice...will you be hunting the supernatural?"

        Jesse smirked,

        "Like Bryce and Jake?"

        Nicholas laughed and nodded, Jake was coming as a vampire and Bryce was coming as a werewolf. They heard the door. Jesse ran up to it and opened it up,

        "Brandyyyy!"

        Brandon and Jesse laughed as they hugged Nicholas laughed and ruffled Brandon's hair,

        "Welcome to the small party, Mister Hunter,"

        Brandon smiled brightly,

        "Thanks, Joker,"

        Nicholas finished and finally sat down calmly. Brandon looked at him and tilted his head,

        "Where is Justin?"

        Nicholas laughed,

        "He's still getting ready, Mickey and him are gonna be super extra today,"

        Brandon nodded and smiled,

        "Do you know what they are dressing up as?"

        Nicholas scratched the back of his neck and shrugged,

        "Kind of, but I'm not saying,"

        That was when Ashley barged in,

        "Y'all ready for this?"

        Everyone turned and saw Ashley dressed up as Harley Quinn. Nicholas blushed and smiled,

        "You look perfect,"

        Ashley smirked,

        "Yo, you okay? You haven't collided into a wall yet,"

        Brandon, Jesse, and Ashley burst into laughter while Nicholas rolled his eyes at the love of his life,

        "I am perfectly capable of NOT embarrassing myself-"

        That was when the door swung open,

        "Did I hear Nicholas lying about him being capable of NOT embarrassing himself?"

        Nicholas sighed and turned to see Jake smirking and Bryce chuckling. Nicholas rolled his eyes,

        "Shut up Jake, you are no better with Bryce,"

        Jake smirked and shrugged,

        "I don't walk into walls whenever I see him,"

        Everyone laughed while Nicholas pouted. Jesse ran up to Jake and Bryce,

        "I love your costumes!"

        Jake was wearing a cape and a fancy suit along with red eye contacts and his hair was slicked back, he was also wearing fangs and was holding his mask for later. Bryce had his hair ruffled up even more than usual and was wearing a plaid shirt with fur coming out of it, werewolf paws, and black shorts with more fur coming out of it, along with holding his mask too. Bryce chuckled,

        "Thanks, Jesse, I love your costume too,"

        Jesse smiled brightly at the blonde. Jake looked around,

        "Where are Ella and Justin?"

        Nicholas looked at the time and looked back at the two,

        "Mickey should be here soon and Justin is finishing up getting ready now,"

        They nodded. Ashley smirked,

        "Do you know what they are dressing up as?"

        Nicholas shrugged,

        "They wouldn't fully tell me,"

        Everyone frowned and sighed in defeat. They sat down and started talking when they heard someone walking down the stairs. They looked up and were all shocked to see Justin: His normally wild curly hair was gelled and looked surprisingly neat and tame, he was wearing a black and red suit with chains and splashes of red on it, he had black contacts in and was wearing fake earrings, he also had very cool devil horns on, along with devil wings. Justin smiled,

        "So, how do you guys like my costume?"

        Everyone was too busy gawking at the amazing costume but Nicholas smirked,

        "You look amazing, really evil-looking,"

        Justin chuckled,

        "Thanks, I worked hard on figuring out how I was going to look like a modern-day devil,"

        Jesse looked and smiled,

        "It worked really awesome, I love the costume,"

        Justin smiled,

        "Thanks...I'm guessing Michela has yet to arrive?"

        Nicholas shook his head,

        "Should be soon though,"

        That was when the door burst open and everyone turned to see Michela walking in with a proud smile. Justin felt his breath being taken away as always: Michela's hair was cascading down in brown waves, she was wearing a pearly white dress that ended just above her knees with spaghetti straps and a slight v-neck that did not show off any cleavage, she was wearing her usual tennis ball necklace and a pearl necklace, both shining in the light. She wore a flower crown and was wearing silver boots but right above the ankle, it looked like silver lace that ended below her knees, what really stood out were the pair of white wings that almost touched the floor, she was also wearing a silver chain bracelet and light blush along with violet contacts that reminded her of someone, she just couldn't think of the name of the person. Jesse was the first one to snap out of the trance everyone was in, 

        "Oh my god, you look so amazing Mickey!"

        Michela laughed and smiled,

        "Thanks, Jess! I worked super hard on it,"

        Nicholas sized her up and crossed his arms,

        "I don't know....you sure you wanna go out to a public place looking that mesmerizing,"

        Ashley slapped the back of his head and glared at him while Nicholas put his hands up in surrender, Michela chuckled and Justin frowned ever so slightly at the idea of someone flirting with her. Michela smirked,

        "I can handle myself, Nickey, plus! I have the devil by my side,"

        Everyone laughed at the cheesiness and truth at her statement while Justin smiled proudly,

        "And don't you forget that,"

        Michela laughed and nodded. Jesse smiled,

        "Let's get this party started!"

        They all laughed and nodded. Soon they were all sitting on the couch and listening to music and making jokes. This was one of the calmest and beautiful scenes...Let's picture it right now:

        Jesse and Brandon had their arms linked and spinning around in the middle of the living room where the table was moved to the side. Jake had a cup of punch in his left hand and his right arm was around Bryce's shoulder after they both sat down from dancing together, Bryce's head was on Jake's head with his left arm around Jake's waist, both were smiling and laughing as Jesse and Brandon jumped around. Ashley had her arms around her stomach as she was leaning in from laughing so hard with Justin laughing right next to her, They were laughing at Michela and Nicholas. Michela snuck up on him and jumped onto his back and he almost fell completely forward but recovered quickly and glared up at her as she clung onto him for support.

        That was just how the hour went, random jokes, pranks, and laughter as the small make-shift family bonded closer together.
