This is not a story update... I am here to share something with you...

First of all, THANK YOU MY READERS... for your love & support...

When I started this book I never expected this much support from you people. But each of you proved that I was wrong. I am very happy that I have a group of friends who encourage me to write more by their votes and comments...Thank you a thousand times...

I know there are a lot of silent readers. I am very thankful for them too. But if you are ready to share your suggestions with me don't hesitate to do that... Comments and criticisms are very helpful for me as a writer... 

I have updated 8 chapters till now and we all know where the story stands now. So from the next update, there will be a sharp turn...

A TURN IN TO THE PAST !

Wattpad gives us chances for the exchange of our thoughts. So let me tell about the motives and goals behind my book.

This is the story of Prince Lakshman. But why? Why did I choose him as my hero? 

We all are familiar with the epic RAMAYANA. We know the characters, we know the story line and we also admire it's beauty. But through this retelling I am actually trying to unmask Lakshman. I am trying to find words to fill his silence. Ramayana is his journey also, along with his brother's. But he always stands 'behind the curtains...' 

Lakshman is praised as an ideal brother, lovable son and a fearsome warrior who defeated Indrajith. Lakshman and Urmila are eternal lovers who proved that the separation of 14 years is nothing, in front of their everlasting love... Their sacrifices are incomparable...  But I didn't give any of these titles for his story...The title is 'THE BROKEN PRINCE'.

Was he broken?  But how?

To know that walk with me through the book... I don't know how much entertaining it would be but I ensure you, it will be a different experience...  

Ramayana is written by Sage Valmiki so I won't change the main events or characters of the story. There will be a lot of new contents from my imagination which will be revealed in the coming chapters but the story line will be same.

According to Indian mythology Ram is the 7th incarnation of Lord Narayana, Sita is Lakshmidevi, Lakshman is Sheshnaga and Urmila is ksheersagar or naglakshmi. Lord Vishnu took the birth of Ram in Trethayuga along with his loved ones to show the world the real morals and goodness. Lord proved them by leading his life as a human being. So in my book I am treating Ram as a human, the greatest emperor ever lived and a man with all the values. A model for us. This is not meant to hurt anyone's religious sentiments. This is a fanfiction so let me take a little liberty.

So dear friends our story is going to take a reverse gear after the next chapter and we are going to peep into the childhood of the brothers...Adorable, funny, pleasure giving but a little shocking at the same time...

For Lakshmila fans... In the coming few updates we are going to deal with a 'kid' Lakshman instead of our 19 year old handsome one. I am very sorry if I hurt your expectations but I am sure that he won't disappoint you... Our Urmi wish to know her Laksh from top to toe, so let her know... After this childhood days there will be a lot of memorable Lakshmila moments...So please don't get upset on me... After all we can't tell his story with out his Mila... Lakshman is nothing with out Urmila and vice versa.
