Rose's Pov

I get home after lunch and just want this day to end. I hope my brother won't question me when I get home. He's 4 years older than me and is the only family member left....Wait, his car is here?Huh, he usually isn't home now? Great, he's gonna be worried

"Hey Shawn! Did you have an early day too?" I asked

"Yeah sis, the teachers had to go to another meeting." He responded

"Aaah, I see. Mine too"

"So how was School?" He asked
Oh god, I knew he would question me. He always does this! I can't let him know that it decided to give me a "pep talk".

"Uh, oh it was fine" I said.

"Mhm. What happened." he said. He was staring suspisously. Crap!

"Fine you caught me" I said. I couldn't help but give in. He is my brother after all. "It decided to pay me a visit..."

"It? Oh god not that thing. Why didn't you want to tell me..?"

Shawn's Pov

It came! Oh god, it better not hurt my sister! I have it too though but she's told me what her's has said and trust me, her's is cruel. The only thing is that, if we let it convince us, we transform. I rarely do though, mine's a lot nicer than her's.

"What did it say to you!" I couldn't help but get frustrated. I despise that thing. She knows I'm not mad at her though..

"I don't want to talk about it" *her eyes started to water* Oh no. Was it that bad?

"Rose, if you need to talk I'm right here. Okay?"

"Okay..."

Rose's Pov

I ran up to my room. I couldn't tell him, he would worry. I don't want him to worry about me, he has enough to worry about. Plus, I don't like when people feel pity for me. I told my parents years ago that I would stay strong. But that was before the incident...

Flashback

"Mommy, are you okay?" I asked her

"I'm okay Rosie just not feeling well. Me and daddy are going to go out for a little while. Okay?"

"Okay! Can I come?" I love to go places with mommy and daddy! Sometimes after we get ice-cream! But we never tell brother, he might get jealous. Hehehe!

"No not today Rosie" Dad told me.

"Aw! Why not" I pleaded

"Your to little to come here" Mom said
To little? What does that mean? They never told me that before. Oh well, mommy and daddy said no so it's a no.
"Okay..."

"Mom and I will be back soon" Dad says. "Stay strong Rosie, no matter what!" *he smiles* What does that mean? He always told me that. Does he mean like the knights in my books? Oh well!

"Okay daddy!"

Later that day

I go down stairs to see... brother crying? Why?

"What happened big brother? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine Rosie. I need to talk to you about something." He said.

"Okay!"

"Mommy and daddy aren't coming home" *he was about to cry again*

"What does that mean?"

*he points to the sky*

"Wait, are mommy and daddy with the angels?"

*he nods*

"Cool! They can fly!"

*he laughs* "yes Rosie, they can fly" yay! Brother is happy again! I did it!

I feel the water running down my cheeks. I understand now that I'm older what Shawn meant by them being in the sky. Why did they have to leave that day? They could still be alive. "No suck it up Rose. He told you to stay strong remember" I thought to my self.
