"Okay so I'm on the prom committee" Eric looks between me and Bella as we walk to Biology "and I know it's a chick thing, but I gotta cover it for the paper anyway and they needed someone to help—I need your playlist"

"Wouldn't Peyton be a better choice?" Bella asks "she has more music than me" yeah, she's into all kinds of music.

"Isn't prom" I ask "like two or three months away?"

Eric turns a bit red "Yeah"

Walking towards my spot when Eric starts to ask Bella out "Hi" looking over seeing Edward Cullen look at Bella, this is probably the first time he's bothered to talk to anyone in months. I sit next to Bella and him. Did I forget to mention that? "I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to introduce myself last week, I'm Edward Cullen. You're Bella"

Now here he is introducing himself to Bella, I remember how he spent a week trying to talk to me then gave up after taking the hint. He also could barely be next to me, though I didn't really pay much mind to him since I don't like vampires who willingly drink animal blood who aren't rippers.

I mean at the Salvatore School they have animal blood, where they get it from I don't know but what I do know is that the students don't know they are being given animal blood. It's different as opposed to the Cullens that drink animal blood and kill the animal. Traditional vampires don't need to kill, unless they are rippers in which they can't help themselves.

"Yes" Bella nods her head

"Onion root cells" Mr. Molina begins class "okay so separate and label them into the phases of mitosis, the first group that gets it right will win" he smiles showing us the gold painted onion "the golden onion"

Taking the microscope before either of them can, I start writing down the different phases of mitosis "Um..." Bella asks me "can we see?"

"Don't worry, it's right" finishing the project, handing through paper to them "but if you want to check go ahead"

"We'll check" Edward takes the microscope and Bella looks at it "ladies first"

"You were gone" Bella looks through the microscope "for a week"

"Yeah" Edward lies "I was out of town for a few days" I know he came back, spies on Bella so I put a barrier around our room to keep him from entering. Last thing I need is some vampire watching me sleep like a common pervert "personal reasons"

"Prophase" Bella says

"Mind if I" he asks. She waves her hand staring at Edward "Prophase"

"Like I said" she says

He looks at her amused "Are you enjoying the rain?"

She makes a face shaking her head "You're asking me about the weather" she is amused

"Yeah" he nods his head "I guess I am"

"I don't like anything wet or cold" and yet she decided to move here, but I get it. Last resort. Well technically this isn't my last resort, I could always move out and get my own place. As I have said I have the funds. Edward lets out a laugh "What?"

"Nothing" he says "it's Anaphase" I am so fucking bored, I mean bored as fuck. "If you hate the cold and rain so much, why did you move to the wettest place in the continental US"

"I'm" she shakes her head "it's complicated"

"I'm sure I can keep up" he promises, looking to me "you never said why you moved here to Forks?"

"Focus" grabbing his chin moving it to Bella "on her"

"Do you not like me?" He asks

"I barely like anyone" looking at him "don't think your too special"

He stares at me then looks to Bella "My mom got remarried" she explains

"So you don't like the guy?" He asks

"No" she argues "Phil is really nice, he's like a second dad to me. More around then Charlie"

"It's metaphase" Edward looks at her "do you want to check it?"

"No" I raise my hand "why"

Mr. Molina comes over "We're done"

"Already?" He asks, he checks the paper "and we have a winner! Have you done this before Mallory? Bella?"

Bella nods her head "Last year" Bella confirms

He looks my way "Fifth grade" he is taken aback along with Bella and Edward "I went to a special boarding school" he nods his head walking away and I pull out my ancestor's journal needing to find out more about this demon.

"You went to boarding school?" Edward asks

"Mhmm" moving his head to focus on Bella "focus on Bella"

"How" Edward asks us "are you two related?"

"Cousins" I say

Bella looks between me and Edward "Her dad is my dad's older brother..."

"Piece of advice" leaning into Edward's ear whispering "vampire, if you keep up trying to sneak into our bedroom at night I'll make the rest of your life here" his eternal life "a living nightmare" grabbing my bag ignoring his shocked face and getting Mr. Molina to sign a pass for me to head to the library.

Once I'm in the library, I go to the section that no one goes in. This journal was from my grandfather, he went to Forks High. So the book should still be here unless they got rid of it.

When I find it, it is covered in dust. No one has been here in a very long time. The book I'm looking for is a book on demons, so I look through the book and when I find what I need. I stuff the book into my bag along with a few others that I find for demons.

Going down to meet Bella by her truck, I'm stopped by Rosalie who demands "How did you find out?" She demands

"Unless you want to start a scene" warning the bitch whose eyes are black "I'd walk away" she grabs my arm when I walk past "let go"

"No" she snarls "tell us now"

"Is there" Nathan who was walking by with Lucas looks between me and Rosalie "a problem here?"

"No" pulling my arm from Rosalie's grip, she and I glare at one another "I'll" looking to Lucas and Nathan "see you both at practice in a bit" the guys look between me and Rosalie mainly because we are giving lethal death glares to one another.

Walking over towards Bella, she looks my way as I put my backpack in the truck then grab my other bag. Hale and Dyson are taking me to this event the Ash is throwing, allow me to meet more fae so I need to be dressed up "What" she asks "did you say to Edward?"

"Why?" I ask

"He started" looking over to Edward who is talking harshly with his coven about how I know, they are all trying to figure out how I know and how long I've known "asking me more about you and if you talk to anyone about secrets and if I know any of yours"

"All I said was that he better stop asking me questions or I'd kill him" giving her a brief smile, she stared at me baffled "first lesson you'll learn from me Bella: Don't give people a reason to think your some weak pathetic thing. I learned that from my mom"

"I won't always be here to protect you Mallory and you" mom cups my face with her hands "are going to be one of the most powerful beings in this world, people will fear the power you can control. Don't" shaking her head "let them think you're weak or they can walk all over you. Fuck whatever anyone says about you, you are who you are and you can't change. Your power is who you are, don't change for anyone"

Unlike Hayley who told Hope that her power is dangerous and that it's dangerous, along with the Mikaelsons who kept warning her about her abilities. My mom told me to not be afraid of my power, it's why I'm able to control my power and emotions better than Hope. Sure I have outbursts and have bad moments, but it's better than Hope who has a harder time controlling her emotions. It's something I don't envy about her.

"Hmm" Bella says, hearing a honking sound we look over seeing Tyler Crowley's van skidding towards us. Bella is frozen in shock and I shove Bella out of the way, harder than I like that she flew a few feet away while I glare at the truck ready to block it. I was also ready to have Hale use his contacts to get someone to make those around us forget.

Unfortunately my plan doesn't work as I'm pushed to the ground, Edward is above me and he held his hand out protecting me "You have got to be shitting me" Edward looks down to me as I looked over seeing Bella look at us shocked, lifting my chin using some of my power Bella grabs her head crying before passing out.

Edward looked between us and got up from where he was, quickly running away from this as people come over "Mallory!" Some of Bella's friends go to her as she is unconscious while Peyton and Brooke are next to me.

Once at the hospital a nurse is checking my vitals while Bella is being taken to CT and Tyler has a doctor checking him over, grabbing Bella's phone as it went off again it's her mom "Hello" I answer "Mrs. Dwyer? This is Mallory Mikaelson, Bella's cousin"

"Mallory?" She asks "Why are you answering Bella's phone? Where's Bella?"

"You keep calling" Sure it's an invasion but I just want her to stop calling "Bella is being taken to CT because she is injured badly"

"Oh god" Renee gasps "how bad?"

"Currently unconscious" my leg swings from side to side "I managed to push her from being crushed, but they want to make sure nothing else is happening"

"Thank you" she sighs "for saving Bella, Mallory. Is Charlie there? I'd like to talk to him?"

The door bangs open and Charlie looks at me relieved but is looking for Bella "He just arrived" waving my hand over "Renee wants to talk to you"

He takes the phone and says "No, I don't know where she is. I just got here" looking at a nurse "where's CT? My daughter Bella is there"

"This way" he walks away with Bella's phone while Dr. Cullen came in and greeted the chief, Dr. Cullen then came over towards me and I close the curtain grabbing a scalpel from the tray beside me and cut the top of my head.

"Oh god" he took the knife from me

"There" giving him a look as blood comes down my face "now if Bella asks she'll think I was tackled aside, now give me some stitches"

Carlisle stares at me just stands there shocked "You..."

"Haedus tuus, Edward? Substitit van a me opprimendo et Bella. Bella viam impuli, sed lamia viribus usus est" Your kid, Edward? He stopped a van from crushing me and Bella. I pushed Bella way but he used his vampire strength this vampire be old enough to know Latin. When Carlisle is taken aback, I know he knows Latin "Si non vis me occidere te et coven tuum, tu vulnus meum sutura et mentieris dicens Edouardum nos ad latus premunt et omnes contactus geris cum aurum colorem velis" If you don't want me to kill you and your coven, you'll stitch my wound and lie saying Edward tackled us to the side and that you all wear contacts since you like the color gold

Carlisle began stitching up my head as Charlie got back "How is Mallory?" He asks Carlisle

"She has a brief head wound" Carlisle explains "and some bruises on her ribs, I don't recommend her playing basketball for a while"

"How's Bella?" I ask

"She's staying" Charlie explains, he looks ready to cry "she had an aneurysm, she needs surgery. Renee is on her way—Keith is picking you up Mallory, you'll be staying with Lucas and him until Bella is out of the hospital since I'll be staying here"

He leaves us and I look to Carlisle "Am I good to go?"

When he says nothing, I leave heading out of the ER to get to the hallway seeing Rosalie complaining to Carlisle about what Edward did. Storming over to them I slap Edward across the face "What the hell?" He demands

"That was for saving me" lights begin to flicker, reign if back Mal "I would have been perfectly fine, now this is what will happen if Bella asks you'll tell her that you tackled us out of the way and she got more of the blunt trauma"

"How" Rosalie demands "do you know?"

"Please" looking her way "you aren't the first vampires I've met nor will be the last vampires I kill if you piss me off" grabbing Edward's chin hard "you will stop coming over to the Swan house, you and your entire coven will say you wear contacts, and so help me if you cause Bella or anyone to find out I'll make your life a living fucking nightmare. Be lucky I put my cousin in that life threatening surgery"

Walking past them and to the waiting room seeing my friends here "Hey" Haley hugs me and I hug her back.

"What happened?" Brooke asks "how's Tyler? Bella?"

"Tyler is getting stitches" I tell everyone who is here "Bella is getting surgery, apparently something is going on with her brain when she hit the ground and needs immediate surgery"

"I hope she'll be okay" Angela says

"Me too" I notice the Cullens look my way as Carlisle and the other two speak lowly to them.
