Changing Positions
After the guys get back, Angel pulls Travis to the side for a minute and saying she needs to talk to him.
"Ok beautiful! What's on your mind?" he touches the side of your face gently with his knuckles.
"I don't know how to say this. I had a wonderful time tonight. Sofia and I were talking, and she is crushing on you something bad. She didn't want to get in the way, but I could tell she really wanted to get to know you better when we talked. Is this fine with you? I don't want to hurt your feelings."
Travis chuckles and looks me in the eyes. "Well, what a coincidence. Cole and I were talking about the same thing. He wants to get to know you better. He was mad about me making my advances on you, but he has been hurt real bad in the past and can't get over it."
"Oh? Like how bad? Is it something mild or major?" trying to figure him out some.
"It's major. I will tell you, but PLEASE don't let him know. He will kill me. I want you to know what you are up against. He will tell you when he is ready but want to give you a heads up" he looks around to make sure Cole is not lurking anywhere near.
"Ok, I'm listening. I want to know what is going on with him, why he has built so many walls around him" sitting down at the picnic table in front of our trailer.
"It was right after he went Pro. His girlfriend of three years wouldn't go with him on the circuit. We come home early one weekend because he got hurt being thrown and couldn't continue the next day. When we got back, he couldn't find her anywhere. He asked a few people, and they said she had gone to his good friend's house. We went over there and saw the unthinkable. We walked up on the front porch, and there she was riding him, screaming his name. Cole flipped out and busted the door down. He yanked her off him, but she shattered his heart. She told him that she didn't love him anymore. He snapped and about beat his friend to death. He would of if I didn't stop him. Then storming out, he never looked back. He built walls around him, and they have never shaken until he laid eyes on you. I saw a glint of something that I haven't seen in over six years. I pushed his buttons tonight with you to try and get him to break. I did enjoy tonight, but I kinda used you a little" his face falls just a hair hoping I am not mad at him.
Smiling at him to let him know that I am not mad, "Well, I'm glad neither of us got hurt out of it. I could see him looking at me and scowling at you. I wondered if there was something that was going on. He was too quiet and always giving you a murderous look. I was wondering what you were up to and just played along just in case you really liked me."
"As I said, he has a lot of walls built up. He vowed never to date or fall in love again. There's something about you that is shaking those walls. I see it in his eyes. Talk to him and get to know him. He is a perfect guy and needs someone to bring out of that shell."
Giving him a quick peck on the cheek and standing up to hug him, "Thanks, Travis. Talk to Sofia. She is a good woman that is looking for the same thing I am. Love, marriage, a home with kids eventually. You two will make a good couple."
Travis walks into the trailer, and I collapse onto the picnic table I am standing by. A short time later, Cole walks out and sits at the table with me. He is nervous but trying not to show it and slowly looks at me with a small smile.
"So I guess you and Travis talked? I'm sorry for being so closed off and quiet tonight. I am having a hard time with all of this" he is wringing his hands together.
"Yes, we talked. Why is it hard for you to talk? I am just a woman that is easy-going, fun to be around, and easy to talk to. I'm not going to bite your head off for talking to me."
He has a small smile as he talks, "I have some baggage that I have been carrying around with me for years, and it's hard to get over that. I'm trying to find a way to do this."
Trying to ease his nervousness, "I understand. I have had baggage in the past but learned to get past it and live my life."
Cole looks up at me with pain in his eyes. "Can I ask what yours is? I would like to know what happened to you."
"It's nothing huge. Back in college, I fell hard for a guy and tried to get him to notice me. I hung out with his friends, talked to him every chance I got, but he never noticed me the way I wanted. He would keep his conversation short with me. Then he started dating my best friend. I was heartbroken. They stayed together and got married three years later. Now she has two kids with him. I was happy for her, but it still hurt."
"He didn't notice you at all?" looking at me with a shocked look. "How is that? Was your friend prettier than you or something? I mean, as he is blind?"
"No, everyone said I was prettier than her, but she was wealthy. I thought all he saw was the money, but I could see that she was delighted after seeing them together. I had to force myself to move on. I just never dated much after that. I have been scared to open myself to anyone."
Cole nods his head slowly. "We share something in common. I had someone hurt me, and I have never gotten over that. I want to get to know you better before I reveal my haunting past."
"I understand. Some things are hard to talk about when it has scarred you in some way. I am willing to listen when you are ready to tell me," touching his arm lightly.
We sit there for a couple of hours and talk about all kinds of things. Family, friends, our favorite hobbies are, future dreams, and what we love about being in the circuit. I look at my phone for the time; it's one a.m."
"Oh My Gosh! We need to get to bed. I have a competition at twelve tomorrow."
Cole puts his hand over my phone for just a minute and smiles warmly at me. "I have enjoyed our talk, though, and thank you for letting us stay with you. It's going to be nice not to sweat to death tonight. It gets hot on nights like this in that trailer."
"No problem. I don't mind. We have an extra room. Come on, we both have a long day tomorrow."
We get up and walk into the trailer. As we walk in, we hear-----
Sofia is screaming, "Oh God, Travis! Yes, right there! Oh, I'm about to come. Yes, Yes, Ahhhhhh!"
Travis' voice is muffled in her neck; I guess, "Hang on baby, I'm not far behind you. I'm almost there. I'm there," as he groans loudly.
Blushing, I point towards the back of the trailer. "Ok? Um, this way."
Cole is also flushed and mumbles, "Damn him, he always thinks with his cock."
I laugh quietly as we walk past the door. "Hey, she's as bad. She stays horny most of the time. He didn't have to push her hard to get what he wanted."
As I walk toward where the bunk beds are, I turn to look at him, and he looks a little uncomfortable sleeping right outside their door.
"I see you are a little squeamish about sleeping right here. Let me show you another option." I walk towards the back where my room is and open the door. His eyes widen when he sees what I am suggesting.
"Um, where are you going to sleep?" as he looks around the room.
Pointing to my bed that is bigger than a queen-size but not quite a king, "Here in my bed."
"Ok? Do you have a table that drops into a bed or something?" scratching his head.
"I'm not asking for anything from you. I thought you might be more comfortable in here away from them, and it's quiet back here also," closing the door.
He looks at me like he is horrified. "You want me to sleep in the same bed as you? With you?"
"If you want, or you can sleep in one of the bunks outside horny one and two's room. Just make sure you roll out before you sit up. It's a little tight in those bunk beds."
He looks at the big bed. "No, no, I don't think I want to hear them all night going at it. I hear them starting up again. IF I do this, I will not touch you," putting his hands up in surrender.
Smiling, I laugh at the embarrassed look on his face. "I'm not asking for that. I just thought you wanted somewhere comfortable and quiet. I hope you DON'T snore. I will kick you out of you do."
Cole chuckles. "No, I don't. I will stay up against the wall. Is that fine?"
"Yes, pick where you want on the bed, and I will get on the other side," as I go into the bathroom to get changed. He undresses to his boxers and crawls to the wall side, and covers up. I walk out of my bathroom in my pajamas. He has turned towards the wall away from me. I crawl in the bed, lay down, and pass out.
