      May came blooming and was in the air. Blade woke up to the sound of birds chirping. He rubbed his head with his hook and opened his mouth as if he yawned. He didn't need to sleep, eat, or drink due to being a living puppet, but he just wanted to feel normal. He looked to see Kathy had left for school. She will be done soon, she would have one week early before school will be over. Plus prom night was coming for spring. He liked the sound of that. There was gonna be dancing, food and drinks. Blade wanted to go, but he didn't know how. Being a doll and all. Then he remembered the woman that came earlier who claimed she made him for Kathy. What was her name again? Ava. Maybe she could help.

Blade jumped down from the bed and climbed to window. Maybe she could turn him human just for a little bit for just one night. He opened the window and climbed down.

Torch and Pinhead were already out and about in town, but careful not to be seen by other humans. Blade knew where the woman lived, since Kathy and Circe went to her house that one time with Pinhead and Torch. They were riding on the red wagon.

Blade came to the house and knocked on the door with his hook hoping she would be home.

"I'll get it, sis!" A woman's voice called out. Loretta opened the door and screamed seeing Blade standing there. Once she recognized him, she calmed down, "oh it's you. You here for Circe?"

Blade shook his head.

"Who is it, Loretta?" Ava came and noticed Blade and her eyes widened, "what are you doing here!?" She snatched Blade bringing him inside. Loretta checked to see if anyone was around, luckily no one was.

"He said he isn't here for Circe." Loretta said.

Blade then pointed at Ava with his hook.

"What...what is he doing? Is he threatening you?"

"No silly, if he was, he would point with his knife at me. When he uses his hook, he is giving, receiving or telling me something, but not threatening. If he points with his knife, then he is saying he will kill. His hissing is just him hissing to talk."

Blade was amazed. She was smart to know all that. So he saluted to her congratulating her for being smart.

"Awe, well thank you, Mr Blade," Ava smiled, "I assume you are here for me, what is it you like me to do for you?"

Blade was confused. How can I tell her?

Easy, just use your mind, Ava smiled.

Woe! You can understand me? You must can...read minds, or stuff.

Heheheh, I am a witch, silly. I am sensing you want to be human so you can talk to Kathy and spend normal time with her, am I correct, child?

Yeah, how did...oh right, you literally said you're witch. And yeah. For prom night. I want to dance with Kathy.

Blade started to dance on the table with his arms in a position like he was holding someone.

Well, that could work, but it will ware out the magic.

Whatever it takes, I want to feel her. I want to hold her, but I can't with...with these. He lifted up his hook and knife sadly.

Ava smirked, and tapped his nose gently. Blade felt funny. He felt tingly inside and looked his hook and knife. They slowly turned into pale white hands. He even grew in size and was almost tall as Ava. He even felt his eye sockets had actual eyes inside them. Ava smiled and used her magic to have a mirror appear in her hands. Blade looked in the mirror. He had emerald eyes, long white hair down to his shoulders, smooth pale skin pale as Ava's, he even took his black hat off and noticed he had hair to the top of his head instead of the back of his head.

Ava smiled. "Yes."

"Woe, Ava I didn't know your magic could do that," Loretta gasped.

"Yeah, but it doesn't last long," she snapped her fingers. In a flash Blade was himself and the mirror was gone.

Wait I want to be human!

"Wait until prom night and I can help you and Kathy." She patted Blade, "But for now, just be there for her. Protect her from any danger."

Blade hissed in a sighing way, but nodded.

"Can I asked you something though?"

Blade nodded.

"Where is Jester and Leech? Aren't they your friends?"

Blade thought about it, it been a long time since he seen Jester, even Leech. Leech and I aren't friends. We hate each other, but Jester...I don't know. He left one day before I did, and never showed up.

Ava and Loretta looked worried. "Well, how about you run along home, don't let anyone see you, you hear?" Ava reminded him.

Blade nodded and waved goodbye. He then left. Ava turned to Loretta and sighed, "I am concerned that Jester is not alright. I sensed some darkness whenever I think of him or Leech. As if...they didn't changed like Blade, Torch, and Pinhead."

"You mean..."

Ava nodded, "they stayed evil, but I hope that's not the case..."

Blade sat on Kathy's bed waiting for her. He swung his legs back and forth. It was almost the time and then he saw the door opened. It was Kathy.

"Blade!"

KATHY!!!

He jumped off the bed and ran to her happily. She giggled dropping her bag and picked him up. She then pulled him into a hug. "Oh I missed you too, little guy."

I missed you too!

"So what did you do? Just waiting for me?"

He shrugged and chucked his hisses. She then kissed his forehead which made him blush as always. "Well, good news, little handsome, I got no homework to do since it's my last month of school. But still no date for the prom. Maybe I will ask my cousin Circe even though he's almost 30."

Blade shook his head pointed himself and her with his hook. Kathy stopped and looked at him surprised. "You mean, you want to go with me to prom?"

He nodded.

Kathy bit her lip, "well, Blade, there's one problem, you're not...human."

Blade nodded, saying he knew.

"Well, Blade, You're not tall enough. And...," she stopped and looked down, "It's nice of you to go with me really, but it's just...I don't know."

Blade looked at her sadly. He really wanted to go with her. He didn't know how to tell her he still could go because her aunt could help.

"I mean, I would love for you to go with me, but...," she looked down. Blade came to her and held her face gently. This time both his hook, and the flat side of his knife. Kathy looked into his empty eye sockets. She then giggled seeing he was just comforting her, "even though you don't have eyes, you just know how to make me feel better. Alright. I will think of a way, because I really do like for you to come." She then took his hat off and kissed his cheek. Blade smiled and blushed.

Kathy then noticed Torch and Pinhead were nowhere. "Hey, where's Torch and Pinhead? Out somewhere?"

Blade shrugged.

Kathy giggled and then dropped her smile, "Blade?"

Blade turned his head to her.

"Torch mentioned another friend of yours. Jester? Do you know where he is?"

Blade then dropped his head and shook his head sadly.

"Well, Circe and I can help you and your friends to find him. You must care for him."

Yeah, like a brother. He and are close, but not close as others think. That's why Leech and Six Shooter and others aren't my friends anymore. They would say terrible things about Jester and I. But we aren't. I guess that's why he left...I wish you could understand me...

Kathy could see he was hurt so she pulled Blade in her arms and held him close. Blade loved it when he held her close. "It's ok, little guy. We will find him."

I hope so, and yet I feel like it's best we don't. I don't know why.
