"I cannot believe Lindsey broke up with me," Dylan says after the movie was over. He tosses the plastic soda bottles into the trash can, his jaw becoming stern as he talked. "I just can't believe it."

Valerie rolled her eyes. How blind can he be?

"You're stupid. You know that?" Valerie asked, sounding irritated.

Dylan furrowed his eyebrows; perplexed at her sudden change in mood. He always knew she was a bit bipolar, but this was something else.

"What's gotten into you?" he asked.

Valerie sighed, then looked into his eyes and gulped. She had to tell him.

"I'm in love with you."
