The balloons, ribbons, and confetti, which had been held overhead, were released, and Momoko, Jude, Sullivan, Tommy and Dane, were all hugging and kissing each other madly as the crowd went wild. Eventually the members of Mangled got in on the well wishes also, shaking hands and hugging the members of Peppermint Silk and nodding their heads.
Finally, they waved to the crowd and the judges, bowing and waving their gratitude, and left the stage. Once they were offstage, they again hugged each other, and hugged Kay and their crew, who were waiting to get their equipment packed up.
"You guys did it, you really did it," Kay kept repeating. "Now, you need to get home and get some sleep, you have a big day ahead of you tomorrow."
"We do?" Jude asked.
"Yes, you do," she answered. "I need all of you down at my office at one PM sharp, can you manage that?"
"Yes ma'am." Tommy spoke for the group, giving her a smart salute as he did so. "Can you tell us why?"
"You know why," she countered with a huge smile. "Just dress nicely, and try not to be too hung over, okay?"
"We'll be there, sober as judges," Dane promised.
They all piled in the car and headed home, though, suddenly, there were tons of people wanting to talk to them and party with them, it seemed. Stories of what had occurred with Hunter were starting to trickle out, and reporters had shown up outside as well, wanting to talk to them. Different versions of it were already all over social media as well. All of the boys had turned to Momoko in the dressing room to see what she wanted to do.
"I want to go home and be alone with you guys," she said. "Is that okay?"
"You heard the lady," Jude said. "Let's get her home."
Momoko got a text while she was drowsing in the car. She looked at her phone smiled, passing her phone around so the guys could see.
One of the members of Justice for Joshua had sent her a photograph she'd taken of Momoko when she was lying in the arms of the guys after the incident with Hunter.
Momoko lay, eyes closed, with with Sully holding her head and Jude cradling her shoulders. Tommy and Dane had their arms across her legs, and hands resting on her thighs and calves. The guys looked protective, concerned and exhausted, and Momoko looked completely at peace in their arms, like she'd simply melted into their bodies. A bit of blood could be seen on her neck and shirt.
"This is an iconic photograph," Jude proclaimed as he passed the phone back to Momoko. "I'd even go so far as to say it looks like an album cover, what do you think?"
Hmm.
They arrived home and trudged wearily up the stairs.
After the door had closed behind them, Momoko turned to her men. "Could we have a slumber party out here?" she asked. "Just all of us bring our bedding and sleep together?"
The guys looked at each other. "Sounds good, Peaches," Sully said softly, stroking her cheek.
So they moved the coffee table out of the way and piled their blankets up together, making a warm, fluffy nest in the middle. And even though it was after three in the morning, Dane built a fire, and Jude opened a bottle of champagne.
They toasted in their pajamas, and drank to themselves, and to the record deal they were probably going to get the next day.
"And now, I want to make love," Momoko declared, setting her glass aside. "I mean, I want all of you to make love to me, okay?" She unbuttoned her nightgown and lowered it to her waist, exposing her breasts. "Make love to me, guys."
So they obliged, laying her back, kissing her, undressing her, making her cry out in the firelight as they took her, one by one.
First, Dane, quietly, as she lay on her back, spreading her open, moving slowly, kissing her open mouth.
Then Jude, carefully, with Momoko on top, letting her set her own depth of penetration, watching as she unraveled and undulated on him as he squeezed her beautiful breasts.
Then Sullivan, sitting up with Momoko on his lap, holding her close, whispering that he loved her as she felt him come, his warmth shooting deep inside her.
And finally Tommy, who took her from behind so he could see that part of her that he loved so much as the dawn broke over the buildings on Bleecker Street, hands on her narrow waist as he thrust powerfully into her, making her moan with what she was feeling.
They fell asleep finally, all tangled up in each other as the sun rose, a good, deep sleep, from which Momoko finally arose to make everyone coffee around ten in the morning to get ready for their big meeting.

They showed up at Kay's office at the appointed time, nicely dressed and not at all hung over.
Neville Rundgren, who repped Big Orchid Records, was seated on one side of the table, rose to shake hands with everyone, tried and failed to figure out which of the guys the girl was sleeping with. He had no doubt it was one of them, but in both spoken and body language, there was a level of intimacy expressed between all five of them that was hard to read. The way they touched each other, looked at each other, smiled at each other, was insane.
Momoko smiled at Dane as he pulled her chair out, and clasped Tommy's hand on top of the table as they all looked at Kay and Neville expectantly.
"Anyone want coffee?" Kay asked, looking around.
"I made coffee all around before we came," Momoko said. "I think we're good."
"Our Momoko makes the best coffee in the world, don't you, love?" Jude asked rhetorically, smiling at her across the table.
"Thanks, Jude," Momoko answered, smiling back.
Neville looked back and forth. They all lived together?
Nope, no figuring it out.
"So, you obviously know why we're here," he began with a smile. "Big Orchid is interested in signing you, that's the big and the little of it. You guys interested?"
"We are," Momoko said, nodding. "Oops, I forgot, we're supposed to let Kay talk for us, sorry, Kay."
"Not a problem," Kay said drily. She looked at Neville. "We're interested, very interested. The only thing we're not interested in is having them sign their lives away for the chance at a record deal, you know? In this day and age, having a major label isn't as important as it used to be, and I don't mean for these kids to end up poor for the privilege."
The members of Peppermint Silk stared at Kay in surprise. This wasn't the tone she'd taken with them.
Neville smiled benignly at Kay. "I do understand what you're saying. You do understand, however, that building an infrastructure takes some time and money, and your 'kids' can't be millionaires overnight, right?"
"As long as you understand that you can't be millionaires on their backs overnight either, right?" Kay returned evenly.
"Understood." Neville looked at Kay with newfound respect. This was going to be fun. "Shall we begin?"
The legal pads came out, and negotiations began.
Momoko had been under the impression that there wouldn't be much to negotiate for a first contract on an unknown band.
Boy, had she been wrong.
Two hours, and twelve pages on the legal pads later, Kay and Neville seemed to be finished talking.
"Well," Kay said briskly. "I think that's enough to begin with."
"Agreed," Neville said, holding his hand out, first to Kay, then to each member of the band. "I'll have papers drawn up and sent over for preliminary approval, sound good?"
"Sounds perfect."
"Wonderful, pleasure meeting all of you."
After he showed himself out, everyone looked at each other.
"Well?" Kay asked, looking around. "How do you feel?"
"Pretty fucking amazing," Tommy said.
The others nodded.
"Did he really say 'Five million dollars'?" Momoko asked.
"He did indeed," Kay replied.
"That's, like, a million dollars apiece," Momoko said with a grin, pretending to count on her fingers. "That's a whole lotta shoes," she joked.
"So, what are you going to do now?" Kay asked.
"We're going to take Momoko out for a very expensive brunch," Sully declared. "We haven't eaten yet, and we need to celebrate."
"Would you like to join us?" Dane asked Kay.
But she shook her head. "I want to get going on this paperwork, that's what's exciting to me."
So the members of Peppermint Silk headed out of the building, stopping outside on the sidewalk, just enjoying the October sunshine and fall colors.
"Where should we go?" Tommy asked.
"I don't know," Momoko responded. "Why don't we walk until we see something we like?"
"Sounds good."
So they headed off, arm in arm in arm, out into the city, to see what would catch their eye.
The End
