Recap:

You raise an eyebrow as you follow his gaze, seeing that he was looking at a certain princess. Instantly a small smirk fell on your expression, "Ah I see... So, tell me, what have you come to ask me~? Hm~?"

"Um... Do you wanna go on a date with me?" he finally says breaking the silence.

.

"...... Excuse me?"

Ten minutes later....

"So, let me get this straight," you sigh, shaking your head as you look down, pinching the bridge of your nose. "You went to Nami for help on this, and her suggestion was for you to go on a date with me?"

Mist sweat drops, "Y-Yeah... It's weird right?"

"For you to ask me out instead of Vivi." you repeat, making sure you were processing this correctly. Just what went on in that female's head...? "Well..." you let out an exasperated sigh. "I guess it's fine. Maybe she wants you to have practice? So when do we do this date?"

"Um... well.... Today...?" he asks questioningly as he looks up to you with a bright red face. At this you shake your head, trying to calm down as you didn't have to rush this after all, "We can't. We're leaving Nanohana remember?"

"Yeah, um, about that...." Mist sighs as he buries his face in his hands. "Nami already stopped the ship, and said we're gonna stay back for a day."

"........I really don't like Nami sometimes."

And so, it was only a few minutes later, before you were dressed in your just as Sanji had bought for you like Nami and Vivi before. Then, you and Mist proceeded to walk out of the room, both of you having a dark red blush deeply showing on your faces.

"Um..." Mist begins, clearing his throat. "E-Everyone!" he shouts, catching the attention of the rest of the crew, aside from Zoro who was sleeping currently. "Y-Y-Y/n and I are going on a date! We'll be back soon!!"

"EEEEHHH?!" literally everyone in the crew shouts, aside from the sleeping moss head. "B-B-But we have to go soon! We just got Y/n and Luffy back!!" Usopp stutters, being he didn't want to run into the marines again.

"Oi you damn fish!" Sanji says with a fiery passion igniting in his eyes, "What are you saying you're going to take my ocean princess out for a date?! How come?! HUH?!"

Nami is quick to silence the blonde with her infamous punch to the back of his head, a large lump already forming. "Enough!" she hisses before turning back to the pinkette, clapping her hands together with an... "innocent" smile. "Wow~! Good for you two! Make sure to come back before the sun goes down though. If that's alright with you, Vivi?" she asks.

Vivi, who was still staring at Mist in slight shock, nods slowly. "Y-Yeah..." she mutters quietly, flashing a small smile. "It's okay."

Meanwhile, the captain of the Straw Hat pirates had been staring at the two of you with a confused expression before he stands up, with his usual bright grin and steps in between both of you slinging an arm on each shoulder. "Ooh you guys are going on a playdate?! Let me come!!"

"Uh, Luffy..." you chuckle nervously, moving away from the male. "We're not going on a play date. We're going on a date."

"Hm?? What's the difference?" Luffy asks tilting his head innocently. You deadpan at this, letting out a small sigh. "Okay okay...How do I explain this... Um... We're going to be...."

"Holding hands, hugging each other, eating together, kissing and talking!" Nami shouts, and instantly Luffy's expression changes into an angry pouty one, his cheeks puffed out and his brows furrowed together. "What?! No fair! Why does Mist get to eat with Y/n?! I wanna eat with Y/n!!"

"That's what you got from that...?" Mist sweat drops, before taking your hand, the two of you standing next to each other as you spoke to your rather oblivious captain. "Listen, we're going on a date."

"But are you sure? You might wanna wait til we're in another town or something right?" Vivi suddenly speaks up, shocked even she said that as she puts one hand over her mouth. "I- um, I don't mean to postpone it or anything, but I am worried about you two being toge- A-ah no no I mean-!"

"Don't worry about it!" Nami grins, seeing things were going just as she predicted. "They're both strong in their own ways. Specifically, Mist can run away!"

"Gee thanks for the compliment..."

"In any case!" Nami continues, shoving the two of you closer to the edge of the ship, "Better get going now! Go on! Have fun you lovebirds!" You and Mist look at one another with a slight deadpan before obeying as the two of you hopped down from the ship, using the anchor in case you missed the landing.

"Then, we'll see you later!" You wave goodbye to the rest of the crew, where Sanji was being held back Usopp as he was yelling incoherent things, Chopper was blushing bright red and chanting "The sea is a strange place". Vivi was waving with Nami, though hers was much more calmer than Nami's bright and clearly happy furious wave. Meanwhile, Luffy, had his chin resting on the edge of the railing, pouting as he watched the two of you walk off.

"No fair..." Luffy grumbled as he gripped the railing of the ship. "Why does Mist get to eat with Y/n... I want to eat with Y/n..."

Vivi also was feeling a bit down herself, as she gently pats Luffy's back. "It's alright, Luffy-san. I'm sure they'll be back soon,"

"Ooooorrr~" Nami hums as she steps in between the two with her classic mischievous cat burglar smile on her face. "We could go and spy on them~"

"Yes! Let's do that!" Luffy shouts jumping up immediately as he liked the idea. "We can be like ninjas! Nin nin!" he grins making a Jutsu sign with his hands.

"I wanna be a ninja too! Nin Nin!!" Chopper says jumping around enthusiastically at this along with Usopp who puts on his goggles. "Let's go men! We'll be so stealthy, they'll never know we're there!!"

"I WILL NOT ALLOW MY OCEAN PRINCESS TO DATE YET!! SHE IS STILL TOO YOUNG!!" Sanji lets out a fiery battle cry, joining in with Chopper, Usopp and Luffy with their enthusiasm, whereas Zoro was still asleep.

"Wait a second everyone!" Vivi exclaims, trying to calm the crew down as she spoke, "We shouldn't spy on them! It isn't right.. If those two like each other and want to date, we shouldn't spy... probably..." she looked down nervously, a grimace on her expression as she twirled a few loose blue strands of her hair around her finger.

"You know.. If things go well, those two could potentially kiss~" Nami adds with a wink.

Vivi's eyes widen for just a moment as she tries to imagine this. Mist, with his adorable pink purplish eyes, slowly fluttering closed, as his soft gentle lips lean closer to kiss you... His gentle and warm hands touching your cheek and running through your hair-

A sudden fire was ignited in the blue haired female as she too let out a battle cry, louder than Sanji. "Let's go!!!" she shouts, with the rest of the crew watching in slight fear seeing this side of Vivi. Well, aside from Nami who could only grin menacingly at this reaction from Vivi.

'This is going to be so fun...~'

Inside the port town Nanohana, you and Mist were walking around, remaining silent as you would awkwardly look at one another for a moment before breaking away and trying to find something else to look at. The Straw Hat crew, (excluding Zoro) had finally managed to catch up with the two of you, specifically Vivi and Luffy in the lead as they intensely watched the two of you, waiting for something, anything to happen.

You let out a small gasp as your shoe gets stuck in a crack in the ground, as you trip and are about to fall forward, when Mist throws his right arm out in front of you, his left grabbing your back and preventing you from a nasty fall. "Are you okay?" he asks worriedly.

"Yeah, thanks Mist." you reply with a small smile which only makes Vivi's eye twitch slightly. Luffy on the other hand was feeling... strange. When you smiled like that, it made his stomach feel like it was hungry, but... not hungry...?

However then he saw Mist and how the two of you were smiling together and he felt... icky. It made his brows furrow together and his eyes narrow, now both the princess of Alabasta and the young Straw Hat pirate glare at the two of you as you kept on walking, seeming to become slightly more comfortable now.

As the crew watched the two of you continue walking, it came to Vivi's attention that Mist's hand kept brushing up against yours and bothered her so. Sanji was also quick to notice this as he muttered something to the effect of, "touching my Yn/n-chan's lovely hand" before getting up and going to grab Mist by the shirt.

"I'll show that fish bastard he can't touch my Y/n-cha-!" just before he could grab the male's shirt, Nami was up and quickly pulled Sanji back down, smacking him three times in the head, leaving him on the ground with three large apple-sized lumps.

"Idiot! Don't ruin their date!!" she hisses, which was rather hypocritical being she did want this date to be ruined. But by someone else.

Finally the two of you stop at a takoyaki stand, only to learn the owner had a single serving of takoyaki left. You accept it anyways, finding there were eight pieces in the serving he had left. "Should we split it?" you offer making Mist raise an eyebrow.

"By 'splitting' you mean I get one and then you eat up the rest." He puts his hand on his hip, giving you 'the look' and making you pout. "Heey! I'll share I promise! Here, we can take turns feeding each other then!!"

As soon as you said this, the two of you looked at one another as a small blush rose to your cheeks. Finally you let out a laugh, Mist doing the same. This was okay, it was just practice after all, right?

You and Mist sit down on two barrels that were conveniently left by in a slightly isolated area (*cough cough* Usopp who was panting heavily with Chopper in their hiding spot behind a stand, having ran around the town looking for two empty barrels)

You sat down, and poked one of the fresh takoyaki treats with a toothpick, holding it out to Mist. "Say aaahh~"

Luffy, who saw this immediately stood up, "OI NO-" Vivi slapped her hand over his mouth and shoved him to the ground, shaking him furiously. "Dumbass! You want us to get caught be quiet!!"

"MBNT I MNT MMMNN MO MDND ME!!!*"

"What?! I can't understand you! Look shh nothing even happened yet!" Vivi says, forcing Luffy to look back at what was happening. Mist, gratefully ate the takoyaki, only to grin with a happy and satisfied look on his face. "So good...! Human food isn't that bad!" he laughs, a light blush dusting his cheeks. Seeing this, Vivi felt her own face heat up as she forced herself to look down.

"You turn!" Mist says as he takes the toothpick and pokes another one, now holding it out to you. Immediately seeing this, Vivi stood up. "NOW WAIT JUST-"

This time it was Luffy who slapped his hand over her mouth and forced her down. "Hey! Vivi you meanie! You're not allowed to do it either!!" he yells, making you and Mist raise an eyebrow as you could hear the bickering of the two, but from where?

"Are you kidding me that is an indirect kiss we can't let them do that!!" Vivi yells back.

"But you didn't stop Y/n before!! I want Y/n to feed me like that!"

"So?! If they kiss then that means it's all over!!!"

"Eh? What's over?"

"Aaaah you don't get it!!" Vivi whines, whereas Sanji was being held back by Chopper and Usopp, who were exhausted as they were on the complete opposite side of town and grabbing onto both of Sanji's legs to keep him from running to the two of you.

Nami on the other hand, was hiding from all three parties, grinning wickedly. This was going oh so well~

Meanwhile, you and Mist looked to one another, wondering if you should check out if Vivi and Luffy were in the town. "We're... probably just hearing things... right?" you say with a small sweat drop.

"Y-Yeah..." Mist lowers the takoyaki, taking a small breath. You spoke up again, before he could. "So? How do you feel about the princess of Alabasta?" you ask with a slight smirk. Instantly, the pinkette's face exploded into different shades of pink.

"W-Well...Vivi's..." he clears his throat, trying to form the right words. "She's very...Um... Pretty... And her smile is n-n-nice... And she's so kind!" he shouts a bit louder due to his embarrassment, making him cringe as he heard his voice echoing. "But... I really appreciate her determination.. She's fighting so hard for her country, even though she was raised in a life of luxury." a small giggle escaped the male's lips. "I really like her."

Hearing these words made Vivi's heard skip a beat as she put a hand up to her chest, feeling her face become heated up as well as she had to tear her gaze away from Mist. "He's so sweet..." she mutters quietly under her breath. She wanted to just run out and hug him tightly right then and there, until she heard Mist ask you a question. "Y/n. How...do you feel about all of this? You know, being with the crew, even after... that..."

"O-Oh...." you felt your breath hitch in your throat for a moment, looking down. "Well... I'm.. glad." you begin, fiddling with your hands nervously as you couldn't bring yourself to look up at Mist. "Even after knowing that I'm wanted by the Navy, and, even after seeing how weak I was when we first met... They accepted me. I love how I can smile and laugh with them every day, and Luffy..." a small blush rises to your cheeks, just hearing that name.

"Luffy is so kind... and bright... and sweet... and we bicker sometimes over something silly like meat, but in the end..." you finally look up at Mist, your face bright pink now as you flash him a closed eye smile, "I know in the end I can rely on him. Because he's my friend, and I trust him."

Luffy as he heard this, felt a strange, warm feeling growing in his chest as he heard these words. What... What was going on? Why did he feel so nervous all of the sudden? You weren't a dangerous person and somehow he was nervous to be around you. His heart was pounding loudly in his ears and it made him stumble and fall back in shock.

All of this came rushing at once and yet... Yet... When you said that word "friend" it went away... He felt his stomach drop. "Vivi... Can we go...? My tummy hurts..." Luffy mutters standing up.

"E-eh?! What are you saying?! We need to stay here as their..." Vivi's voice trailed off when she saw Luffy's expression. "Luffy-san? Are you okay...?"

Luffy shakes his head, his hat tilted slightly and hiding his expression. "I don't know... My tummy hurts so I must be hungry..."

Vivi looked at Luffy with a shocked expression and before she could say anything Luffy had already turned around and started to leave. Nami noticed this and immediately stood up running after him. "Where are you going Luffy?!" She exclaims grabbing his wrist, only for Luffy to shake his head furiously like a little child.

"I don't feel good... And my face hurts...." he says pulling his wrist away from Nami as he continues to walk forward, one hand on his hat and the other at his side in a clenched fist. Once he was sure he was confused as to where to go, he stopped walking, bringing up a hand to his face only to scream when he felt how hot his cheeks were.

He was blushing. What... What was this...?"

"Is this the mystery feeling?!" he exclaims aloud, his voice echoing throughout the whole city.
