Recap:

"Remember what we told Makino? If that's true, then I'm not going to let anything happen to you! But you have to promise me; don't you ever go back to that man!"

"......Y-Yeah!" Luffy grins hearing this. "Now GO!" Sanji grabs your wrist and the two of you run, as Luffy prepares to fight Smoker. Meanwhile, Nami and Usopp are on the ship now, raising anchor to leave. "What about Zoro, Sanji, Luffy and Y/n?!" Usopp stutters, being it was Nami's idea to lift anchor. "We'll think of something! But the Merry will be blown to pieces if we don't leave now!"

"Hey look!" The two look and see you and Sanji running on the concrete, where the only thing that stands between you guys and the Merry is the raging waters below. Sanji has his arms in the air and hearts in his eyes. You, on the other hand, were sprinting to keep up with Sanji. Let's just say you have little to no stamina. "Nami-swaaan~"

Nami waves to the two. "Sanji-kun! Y/n!" Usopp lets out a sigh of relief. "Oh you guys!" "Nami-swan!! We're back!!!" Nami notices two other males missing. "Where're Luffy and Zoro?" You let out a wheeze, speaking in between breaths. "We- can- go *pant* back and collect them!!"

Usopp gasps, "Y/n behind you!!" "Huh?" You turn around and see a crowd of Navy soldiers chasing after you. You've pretty much lost your patience by now. "ENOUGH!!!!"

Your eyes go milky white and the waves are out of control. You slam your hands together, your arms out straight. A large wave smacks onto the crowd of Navy men, slamming them into the wall, then dragging them into the sea. Nami is wide eyed. Usopp is screaming his tongue out and his eyes wide comically. "Sanji-san!" you yell startling the male. "Y-Y-Yes y/n-chan?"

"Get on!" You create a large water fist, as it comes from behind Sanji slamming him onto the boat. He goes flying into Nami's chest, and Nami immediately smacks him on the head, then turns to you. "WATCH WHERE YOU AIM!!!" You let out a low growl, and turn to Nami. She yelps, and starts bowing like lightning. "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!!!"

You become more heated as you think about Smoker and Tashigi. "I'm going back to help!!!" You run back in the direction Luffy and Smoker are, despite Sanji's protests. "Mist!" you call, hoping he was near. Mist pops his head up, swimming in the water next to you. "Yeah?" he responds. "Please help them get out of here! And look for Zoro!"

"Got it!" Mist dives back, swimming to the ship. You continue running to find Luffy and Smoker. When you get to Luffy and Smoker, Smoker has grabbed Luffy's head and jumps in the air. "You can't enter the Grand Line!" he yells. You watch Smoker slam Luffy's body, face first, into the concrete. "Wanted for a 30 million bounty? You're running out of your devil fruit's luck."

"LUFFY!!!" You throw a water spear at Smoker, but it goes through him, as his body changes to smoke. "What?! A Devil Fruit?!" you gasp in shock. He wasn't any old Navy officer. Luffy shakily lifts his head to look at you. "Y/n! Get out of here!"

"Like hell I am!" You use the rain to form several water fists, aiming them all at Smoker. "Water GATLING!!" They all at once go at Smoker, but his body changes into smoke yet again. "White blow!" He surrounds your body with smoke, causing you to launch into a coughing fit, collapsing on your knees.

"Y/n!" Luffy yells, finding the strength to slowly rise. "What did you do to her?!" "Smoke contaminates water. Tch. So that's why you don't like smoking. Good to know." He sends his other fist at you, this one grabbing your neck. "STOP!!!!" Luffy cries, knowing he couldn't make it in time.

Smoker comes near you, grabbing his jitte from his back. But before he can pull it out all the way, a hand stops him. When you look, it's a man with a dark green cloak covering his face and body. But for one second, a flash of lightning reveals that he has a strange red pattern on the left side of his face. "Don't be so sure." he says in a low voice.

Smoker instantly recognizes the man. "The government wants your head."

"The world is waiting for our answer."

There is suddenly a strong wind, blowing Smoker and Luffy and you off the ground. You let out a yelp, trying to grab onto something, until Luffy's hand makes it to yours. His arms is outstretched, but he pulls you to him, wrapping his arms around your waist. "I got you Y/n!" You and Luffy are blown back quite a bit, as well as Zoro. When the winds die down, you and Luffy crash. You stand up and see Zoro, along with Luffy.

Zoro looks around in confusion at how quickly the wind died down. "What was that just now?"

"Luffy! Luffy!"

You turn, and in the distance, you see Nami and Mist calling out to you. "Y/n! I can't keep back the Merry! Hurry!"

"Y/n-chaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!"

"Hurry you guys!!!"

"We'd better hurry! Or the ship will be swept away!" you cry, already mentally preparing to run again. You and Zoro are about to run in one direction, when Luffy goes in the other. Luffy jumps, grabbing the metal bars of steps, stretching his body backwards. "Gum Gum.........."

"Luffy?! What're you doing?!" You yell, until Zoro stops you. "I've got a bad feeling ab-" Luffy launches forward letting go of the bars, and heading straight for you guys. "ROCKET!!!!!" Zoro and you instantly try to run away. "I KNEW IT!!!!!!" the two of you scream in unison.

Luffy hits you, you hit Zoro, and the three of you go flying into the Merry's sail, then crash onto the deck. You land on Sanji, with your cleavage right in his face, causing an epic nosebleed. "Y-Y/n-channn~" You scream and reel back away from him. "GYAH!!! NAMI!!!"

Nami jumps at your tone. "What?!"

"Sanji-san won't stop bleeding!!!" Zoro grabs Sanji, lifting him up. "OI! Eyebrow Cook! Don't go peeping at Y/n! Got it?!" Sanji instantly snaps out of it. "What did you say Marimo?!" As those two go at it again, you take it as the chance to escape. You stand up, trying to catch your breath. Looking back and seeing those two fighting puts a smile on your face.

'Looks like Zoro's having fun,' you thought.

"Looks like you found a great crew huh, y/n?" You jump, and look to see Mist down in the water below you. You smile, lifting the water below Mist up, so he is at your level. "Yeah, I did." Mist smiles as you let him go and he swims back under. 'I sure did, right Mom?'

"Y/n!!!!"

You hear Luffy calling you, as you walk over. You see Sanji has a barrel in the circle of the three of you. "What's going on?" you ask pointing to the barrel in confusion. Sanji places his heel on the barrel first. "We're holding a celebration for sailing to the Grand Line." "Oh, I see!"

Sanji was first to speak. "To find the All Blue" Luffy places his foot down next. "To be King of Pirates!" Zoro went next.

"To become the greatest swordsman!"

"To draw a world map!"

"To become a brave warrior of the sea!"

Finally you went next, and you say "To sail by the Pirate King's side!" Nami wiggles her eyebrows teasingly at this, but you don't notice. "We're going...........TO THE GRAND LINE!!!!!!!" Luffy cheers.

"YEAH!"

The following day was much more sunny out. Everyone was somewhat relaxed now that the storm had died down. Sanji was fawning over Nami's beauty as she reads the sea charts. Zoro and you were taking a small nap, while Luffy was sitting on the Merry's lamb head. "Nami! Are we in the Grand Line yet?" Nami sighs, knowing the question was bound to come at some point. "We just left Logue Town two days ago. Wait a few days."

"Okay!" Sanji finally stops googly eyeing Nami and looks up. "Man, the weather sure is nice! The storm seems like a distant dream." "It's too bright." you mutter in your sleep as you snuggle into Zoro's chest, who snores in response, wrapping his arm around you.

Nami oohs and awes at this. "Awwwwww~ Brother and sister: So cute!" "How dare that Marimo!!" Sanji couldn't help but feel jealous that almost every idiot on this ship had slept with a lady beside him. Luffy looks away muttering something to the effect of. "I want Y/n to sleep with me"

Usopp is at the top, looking with his binoculars in the distance. "What the heck is that?" He spots a crowd of seagulls by the surface of the sea. "I see a flock of birds to starboard!" Luffy turns to Usopp. "A flock of birds?" he repeats. Luffy's hand scares the birds away, but catches the small girl as Luffy stretches his arm back. "I caught it! It's pretty big!"

Nami smiles. "Nice Luffy!" Sanji notices that Luffy's arm is going to hit him, with the "fish" according to them, in hand. "Hey, hey what are you gonna do now?!" Sanji ducks to dodge Luffy's arm, but instead it hits you and Zoro, causing you to go flying off the ship and fall into the water. "GYAAAAHHHH!!!" Zoro screams.

"WHAT THE HELL LUFFY?!?!" Luffy brings his arm back, then notices that not only Zoro went flying, but you too. "EHHH?!?! ZORO! SAVE Y/N!!"

Usopp brought you two back up by using the rope, as you two are lifted back up to the ship "I'm gonna..cut him down...someday.." "That idiot....." Once back on the ship, you then notice the small girl. "What was a small girl doing in a boat?"

Nami had you carry the girl into the ship's kitchen, where Sanji and everyone else were planning on eating. Usopp was about to put a cold rag on her head, when she suddenly bolts upward, smacking Usopp on the forehead and falling over. The girl clutches her own head in pain. "Ouch!"

Ignoring the injured and red-chinned Usopp, Nami smiles warmingly to the small girl, not wanting to come off as scary or intimidating. "So you're awake? You seem to be doing better. Are you in any pain?" Sanji notices this as well. "You must be hungry. I'm cooking soup right now."

"Were you in a ship wreck or something? You could've been in big trouble. What's your name?" The girl was about to answer before pointing accusingly, "When you ask someone questions, you should give them your name first." Nami smiles, winking at the girl. "Good point. My name is Nami. The one who's cooking soup right now is Sanji."

"Hi!"

"The one with a scary face wearing a bellyband is Zoro."

"Shut up."

"The one who's unconscious over there is Usopp. The girl next to me is Y/n." You wave to the female. "Nice to meet you."

"And-"

"I'm Luffy! I'm the captain of this pirate ship!" The girl's eyes widen. "WHAT?! PIRATES?!" "We're heading to the Grand Line." The girl sits there, here eyes and mouth opened wide, in shock that even her small braid shot up. You look at her in worry. "What's wrong?" Zoro merely sighs in annoyance. "What're we going to do with this kid?"

Later that night, you were out and awake walking around the ship, bored. Zoro, as well as Nami and Usopp were asleep. You weren't sure what Luffy or Sanji were doing though. This had always been one of your problems; a sad case of insomnia, well, when it was night at least. You finally made your way around to the kitchen, until you heard a scream.

You burst through the door, to find the girl from earlier there, wrapped in a blanket due to the cold, Luffy on the floor caught in Sanji's large mouse trap, who was standing above Luffy. "I heard a scream. Is anyone hurt?!" Sanji was first to respond. "Don't worry y/n-chan~ it's just our stupid captain again~" he turns to the rubber man and sighs. "You never learn do you Luffy? Can't you get it through your thick skull?"

Sanji notices the girl, who is on her knees and by the fridge. "Huh? What're you doing?" Sanji pulled out some meat and bread for Luffy, then some soup for the young girl. You sat next to Luffy, staring at the girl in awe. "Yum!"

"If you ask, I'll make you something." Sanji offers. "You're so nice Sanji-san." Sanji's eyes turn into hearts once more as he claps his hands together, in a praying stance almost. "Thank you for the lovely comment y/n-chan~!" You hear the girl's stomach growl loudly, causing her to blush. "What's wrong? Aren't you going to eat? You didn't eat this afternoon either."

Sanji frowns. "It's not poisoned or anything." She shakes her head. "If you just sit there like that, he'll finish everything." Sanji warns. Luffy puts his hands on her bowl. "If you're not going to eat it, I will!" "No!" She grabs the bowl, drinking it all up. She puts the bowl down, and has a large smile on her face. "Yum!!"

Luffy grins. "Shishishi! Of course! Sanji's a great cook!" the girl lets out a sigh of satisfaction. "I've never eaten anything this yummy!"

"You're finally smiling." You turn around and see Nami leaned against the door, with Zoro and Usopp in the door frame. You wave to the crew. "Hey guys!" Usopp frowns seeing Luffy eating. "Oi oi Luffy why are you eating again?" Luffy turns to answer the long nosed male. "I didn't have that much for lunch."

Usopp sweat drops at this. "You emptied two pots didn't you?" Luffy scratches his head confused. "I did?" Nami tries to tune out that conversation. "You probably got scared when you heard we were pirates, huh? "Well that's a natural reaction to pirates nowadays."

The girl asks, "You're not gonna sell me off?" Usopp was taken back by this. "No way!" Zoro rolls his eyes. "You're all evil looking, so..." Usopp starts playing with Zoro's face. "You've got a right to talk with that face?" Those two launch into a sissy punching fight. You let out a laugh, thinking about how cute Zoro used to be when he was younger. "What're you laughing about?!"

You wipe a few tears from your eyes. "You should've seen Zoro when we were kids! He had a cute baby face, until he would get all mad." Zoro turns to you with a bright red blush. "S-S-Shut up! You were a big crybaby!"

"Was not!"

"Were too!"

"I was not!"

"Alright that's enough!" Nami yells silencing both of you. The little girl starts to laugh softly, but turns to Sanji, feeling hungry still. Sanji of course, notices this. "We have more, mademoiselle." she smiles, holding out her bowl. "More please!"

"As you wish."

"Me, too!" Luffy says holding out his bowl. "Do it yourself!" "Me too Sanji-san!" you chime in. "Yes, y/n-chan~!"

"You meanie!"

The next morning, you and the guys were busy getting prepared to set sail, when you heard a loud booming. "What was that?" The little girl comes out from the kitchen, smoke following her. You launch into another coughing fit, until Luffy grabs you, stuffing your face into his chest. "Don't breathe that stuff Y/n. You get sick every time."

You try to ignore the blush creeping on your face. "Y-y-yeah! Thanks L-Luffy!" Zoro notices this, of course. "Oi, what're you doing Luffy?" The girl smiles seeing everyone come in. "I was preparing a meal!" Sanji was surprised to hear this. "Huh?"

"Everyone! Breakfast is ready!" she announces. Luffy makes an 'O' shape with his mouth hearing this. "Oh? Breakfast?!" Zoro sweat drops, looking to you. "What kind of breakfast explodes?" he mutters. "One that isn't Sanji's." you reply.

You scramble out of Luffy's grasp, walking into the kitchen along with everyone else. When you all go to sit down, there is pretty much a plate full of crushed up coals in front of you. You chuckle nervously. "You.....made this?" She nods. "Yep!"

Usopp chuckles nervously. "It has quite a.........a unique appearance." Sanji just stares down at the plates, with a strange face."Thanks for the meal!" Luffy says before digging in. "In addition to rescuing me, you're feeding me too. I'll do anything to help from now on!" Sanji's eye catches the sink full of bent up and dirty dishes.

Nami sweat drops, not wanting to hurt the female's feelings. "Uh....Um......That'll be helpful. Thank you......." "Is this really edible.......?" Zoro mutters. Nami slams her heel on Zoro's foot, causing him to open his mouth wide, as she shoves the food into his mouth. "Stop grumbling and just eat it!"

"Really? It's good." You notice that Luffy is eating it, and looks to be enjoying it. 'Well it can't be bad...........right?' Sanji nods in agreement. "That's right. It's possible just the appearance is bad." All of you besides Zoro, put a small amount in your mouth. But the minute you do, your faces go red, and Zoro's has gone blue. It's way too spicy.

Nami and Usopp start chugging water, while you're fighting over it with Zoro. The girl looks at you all with a sad and worried expression. "Was it really that bad?" She tries a piece of it. "WHOA! THAT'S TOO SPICY!!" Sanji is trying to hold back the urge to chug down the water. "What is this?! I put in the wrong seasoning!"

Sanji is sweating pretty badly, but manages. "Well, that's a common mistake. You'll be fine if you're careful next time. Hey! She took the trouble for preparing it for us. Eat every crumb!" You all look up in horror. You felt like you were going to puke, but didn't want to be rude. "Don't waste this girl's kindness. This girl's- Oh, what's your name by the way?"

"Apis! My name is Apis!" she says. Sanji continues, "Apis-chan put her heart into this food! Plus, I won't allow anyone to waste food!" Sanji leans over to you and Nami. "I'll cook you both something later, Nami-swan and y/n-chan~" Nami mentally sighs. "Thanks."

"Thank you Sanji-san." Apis looks down sadly. "Sorry...I'm not good at cooking, but I wanted to be helpful!" Nami shakes her head. "Don't worry about it! We really appreciate the thought." Sanji lights a cigarette, letting out a small puff before speaking again. "Leave the cooking to me. There're many other things you can help out with."

Luffy raies an eyebrow. "Really? This is good." Everyone just stares at Luffy in silence. "Well, it's good to see Luffy likes it!" You say with a smile. When you all finish eating, you have Apis sit down, to figure out what happened to her, and what your next move was. "So why were you on that boat Apis?" Nami asks.

"I escaped from a Navy ship." Your body tenses. You lean in closer, listening. "Three nights ago during the storm." Nami looked at Apis in shock. "In that small boat during a storm.........You're reckless."

Zoro interjects, "So what'd you do in the first place?" "Huh?" Apis looks at the green haired male. "You said you had to escape, meaning you weren't on their ship as a guest." You clench your fist under the table, hoping that Apis didn't go through what you did, or that they did something worse.

"Then again, the navy doesn't go after every little criminal." Zoro concludes. Luffy looks at her with a sudden awed expression, "What? Are you a super criminal?" Apis shakes her head. "No! I've never done anything bad! But I can't tell you what I did....."

Usopp sweat drops. "What kind of reason is that?" You put a hand on Apis's shoulder, smiling warmly at her. "Hey, guys. She must have her reasons, we shouldn't pry at her.Tell us when you are ready."

"Y/n's right. But, can you at least tell us where you're from?" Nami asks, hoping to at least take the female home. "Oh, yes. I'm from Warship Island." Nami furrows her brows in confusion. "Warship Island?" She gets up from the table. "Do you know it?" She grabs one of her maps, looking for the island as she narrowed her eyes at all the small islands. "Why's it called Warship Island?" Luffy asks.

"It's because the shape of the island looks exactly like a warship." Apis explains, wanting to look at the map as well. "Oh, that's cool!" Nami points to the small island, and you notice it's right next to the Grand Line. "Ah! Here it is!" You point to the Grand Line. "How convenient! It's right near the Grand Line." "Yeah, we're about here- " She points to a spot on the water, a few centimeters from the island. She then looks at Apis "What do you wanna do?"

Apis looks in surprise, seeing that Nami was talking to her. "What?"

"Do you wanna go back to Warship Island?"

"She's got a point. If we keep sailing like this, we're going to enter the Grand Line." Apis looks down sadly, feeling guilty. "You've all already done so much for me.......You were nice enough to save me and I feel bad for burdening you further..... But I want to go back to the island! I'm sorry. I'm selfish, aren't I? If you hand me to a ship, heading west your way if possible, I'll work things out on my own."

Nami frowns at this. "Oh my, that's a real burden. There's no way a pirate ship can get that close to another ship so easily." Apis looks down sadly. "Yeah, you're right."

You merely shrug. "It's not totally out of our way, and we're not really in a hurry.....Right Nami?" Nami sighs, throwing her arms up in defeat. "Oh what the heck!" Apis's spirit is instantly lifted up. "Really?!" she exclaims happily. "It doesn't matter to me either way. What should we do, Captain?"

Luffy has a big grin on his face, and it's contagious as you feel the corner of your lips tug upward, and you find yourself smiling too. "Yeah, sounds fine to me. The island looks like a warship huh?"

Sanji walks over to Apis, patting her lightly on the head. "Looks like they've already decided." Apis jumps up and down, a huge smile on her face, "Really?! You're going to stop by Warship Island for me?!" Luffy nods. "Thank you! Thank you Luffy!"

"Shishishishi!" You notice that even Zoro is smiling. You smile sadly at Apis, then Zoro catches your eye. "You're envious of her, aren't you?" You look back at Apis, she keeps jumping up and down, thanking everyone for stopping by the island for her. "What do you mean? I just see a little girl who gets the opportunity to go home." you say after a pause.

Zoro sighs, shaking his head and looking down. "You're so stubborn aren't you, Y/n?" You nod, leaning back against the wall next to him. "Yeah, I am. But one thing I know for sure; I never want anyone to go through what I did. I just want to see everyone smile, like this."

Zoro chuckles softly. "Sometimes I forget about your temper......You're so damn cute." You blush a bit, smacking the swordsman on the head. "Shut up!" you growl, looking away. "What?! Who gave you the right to hit me?!"

"Who says I can't?!"

"I do!"

"Alright alright! Enough you two!"

Nami smacks you both with her fist, leaving large lumps on your heads. She walks out the door, leaving you and Zoro. You suddenly get a bad feeling in your stomach, and you don't know what it is.... Quickly running outside, you gasp and yell back to the crew, "We have company! A whole fleet of Navy ships!"

Nami runs over to get a better view. "What is a large fleet like this doing out here?!" The rest of the crew runs out to join the two of you, "What's this about? Are they after my head?" Luffy asks. "That's a lot for just your head. Maybe they're after Y/n." You stab your heel into Zoro's foot. He cries out softly in pain.

"That's not even funny you jerk." you mutter. Luffy suddenly wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to him. "My Y/n! Oi! You hear me! YOU CAN'T HAVE Y/N!!!" Your face turns crimson red, since, once again here you are; right against Luffy.

Zoro shakes his head in disappointment. "You've gotta stop doing that." "Why? It's clear they're lovers~" Nami coos teasingly. Apis stares up at the two of you with wide eyes. "Oh, so they're like boyfriend and girlfriend?"

"W-W-We're not!" you stutter. "OI!! LISTEN TO ME YOU DAMN NAVY! Y-" You smack your hand over Luffy's mouth. "That's enough out of you! A-Anyways Apis, are you familiar with that ship?" Apis looks in the distance at the ship before nodding. "Yeah that's Branch 8! I escaped from them! What am I gonna do?!"

And as if on cue, three canon balls are heading straight for the ship. "GYAH! They're firing at us!" Usopp screams. The canon balls land in the waters near the ship, but didn't do any damage, except cause you to lose balance. "Attention pirate ship! Stop immediately! Those were warning shots! The next shots will hit your ship!"

"You've gotta be kidding me. There's no way we're going to stop!" you huff. Zoro looks to Luffy. "What're we going to do Luffy? If you wanna take them on, I'm with you." Luffy shrugs. "Yeah, why don't we?" Usopp has a panicked look on his face. "Ahhh! W-wait a sec! Why are you guys always like this?! What the heck are you gonna do against a fleet?!"

"Sanji-san, can you monitor the guys? I'm going to take Apis down to the cabin." Sanji nods, putting out his cigarette, before joining the two. "Now let me go, Luffy." He does, and you start to lead Apis out, except she makes eye contact with one of the seagulls by Nami's tangerine tree.

"What's wrong Apis?" you ask. "He said a wind is coming. You take care of the rest. A strong wind...." Nami looks up at the sky. "Zoro! Lean the sail towards the south! Usopp and Sanji-kun! Right rudder full! Hurry!"

Luffy looks up at Nami who was on the higher level of the ship. "What's going on?" Nami points up at the sky. "A wind is coming. We'll ride it and get out of here. If we fight them head on, we'll lose no matter how good we are." The ship suddenly thrusts forward, as you go a different course, leaving the Navy ships behind.

The ship is going fast, as the Navy ship seems to be a distant dream. You feel relaxed until your vision disappears and you see the deck of the Navy ship, with the captain and the strange lean man.

"Lt. Commander! What are you doing?! Go after them now!"

"We can't! That's the Calm Belt!" the captain responds.

'Y/n! You gotta tell Nami! You're gonna get stuck in the Calm Belt!!'

The vision is gone, and you see Apis in front of you. "Oh you're back! What happened to your eyes?" You stand up immediately. "It's a long story, but, where's Nami?" Apis points at Nami, who's at the front of the ship. You dash over to her, but when you look and see the sails, you know it's far too late.

"Nami!" Zoro and Nami turn to look at you. Zoro grimaces. "It's not just my imagination then?" Nami looks between the two of you confused. "What is?"

"It looks like the ship hasn't been moving for quite a while now." Zoro responds, noticing how the sail remained still. "Ahhhhh!!!!!! Dammit!!!" Nami suddenly screams. "What's wrong Nami-swan?"

"We've entered the Calm Belt!" the two of you yell in unison.
