Scott's P.O.V.
"Another boring day at school. Am I right Mitch," I said. "Yeah, you're telling me," Mitch replied. Mitch and I had most of the same classes together. When we got into our first period classroom 'No Lesson For Today' was written on the board. Thank God I said in my head. I took my seat and as always, no one sits at the desk next to me. The extra desk no one uses because you sit near your friends. Mitch was to my left so I wasn't alone in that class. "In a week there is a full moon. Just to let you know," Mitch said. "I know, remember I have that moon calendar," I said. Then the teacher spoke, "Okay class. As you may see we have no lesson from today because we have a new student." Some part of me was very curious on who it was, and the other part excited.

"Scott," said the teacher. "Yes," "He'll be sitting next to you. Can you give him a tour around the school during lunch," "Sure thing." Then the door opened and the new student walked in. My mouth almost dropped at the sight of him. "This is Avi Kaplan, our new student," said the teacher. "Hi everyone, I'm Avi," said Avi. "You will be sitting there Avi, to the right of Scott," the teacher said pointing to the desk beside me. Avi sat down and said, "Hi, Scott is it. I'm Avi, nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you too," I replied. He is amazing I thought to myself. I didn't realize that his hand was out to shake hands until he poked me. "You okay, you seem distracted," Avi said. "Oh sorry, I was just looking at you," "I saw."

Time Skip To Lunch

"Hi, Avi. I am going to give you a tour of the school. Does that sound good," I said. "That sounds great," Avi said. "Okay, let's go. This is the cafeteria where we eat lunch," I said, "What, no. Who knew," Avi said sarcastically. I just rolled my eyes. When we were half way through the tour, I thought to myself, 'Is Avi gay.' "Why do you say that," Avi said. "Wait, how did you hear that. I was saying that in my head," I said totally confused and angry at myself for saying that. "Well you did say it out loud," Avi said. "Oh no. I'm sorry, it's just tha-" "Don't worry about it. It's okay," Avi interrupted.

We were finished with the tour when Avi decided to speak again. "I am gay, just to let you know." And with that, he left.
