The Boy Walking on Lies has come to an end. I hope everyone who read and followed along with Steven's story enjoyed the ride. It was a lot of fun to get behind the character and the setting to produce this story as it's not in my usual category. I enjoyed bringing each of the characters to life and exploring their world throughout the different chapters to get an honest feel for them.

So, what's next?

Well, if some of you may recall in the A/N at the beginning of The Boy Walking on Lies I said that this was one of three stories I'd been required to write for my Creative Writing assignment. It was an interesting time to write each of the short works as I chose to weave each story into one another. If you're starting to catch onto my meaning then I hope you're as excited as I am when I reveal the next story to come out:

The Girl in the Shadows

Pain. Blood. Countless eyes.

Carmen Gannette has never been one for the spotlight. Ever since the near fatal accident from two years ago she's done everything she can to remain hidden in the shadows, a difficult task when your two best friends shine bright. The task becomes even more difficult when Carmen and Seth "Mop Head" Roger's are assigned as partners on a team project. Now, Carmen must once again battle the demons in the shadows.

Follow along on Carmen's journey of self-growth, confrontation, and mental health.

For those of you interested in learning more about Carmen and the story behind her then I'm sure you'll love this work. The Girl in the Shadows features all of the events that happened in Steven's story but told from Carmen's perspective as she battles her own problems. All of the questions you may have had while reading Steven's side of things will get answered in Carmen's story.

This story will be slightly longer than Steven's story as I get more in depth with Carmen's side of things. It will also touch heavily on depression as well as cutting, so if this is a triggering topic I would recommend not reading. The story will be updated daily just like Steven's story.
