Y/n and Yuma walked down the streets of heartland with Yuma's friend Tori. The older brother held red dragon in his hand along with Dark Highlander. Astral flew over Y/n and watched as he stared at his cards but  noticed two numbers appearing on his arm making the boy hold his arm in pain.

"Hey are you okay Y/n?" Tori asked gaining Yumas attention.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Look I'll see you guys later. I gotta go find my last heart piece." The duelist said as he began to walk faster than the other two heading towards the center of heartland. Y/n walked in and out of alleys but slowly began to feel fatigued as he leaned against a wall.

"Let the numbers take hold" a deep voice said making Y/n try to hold back the powers of his number cards except for Number 52. 

"Why is this happening? I'm focusing more on my destiny. Why are the numbers trying to force me to submit?" He questioned as he collapsed to his knees holding his head as he began to scream in pain as Number 48 and 68 appeared surrounding him. Y/n looked up seeing 48 bring its scythe up and was about to bring it down upon the boy to take control of him but it was stopped by Highlander. Next was 68 as it fired a black of purple energy before it was blocked by Y/ns dragons with number 52 surrounding the boy in a protective crystal as it stood by highlander.

The two numbers rushed towards the monsters but stopped as Y/n growled as his body seemed to shift and glow the darkest of black. Standing up, the boy growled and raised his right hand up as a black card with the number appeared before the same silhouette of a dragon roared at them in anger. The two number's quickly retreated as Y/n continued to glow before calming down as his eyes flashed blue and pink before returning to normal.

"Ah!" He yelled in pain as a memory flashed in front of his eyes showing him on his knees and tied up against a stake. The flash of steel shined in the boys eyes making him scream in pain, panting, the boy looked up seeing what seems to be a Pastor in front of him. But the boy noticed as he slowly gained his vision he was surrounded by sticks.

"This young man is a creation of sin. The kingdom shall never be ruled by a prince of the dark arts!" The Pastor yelled causing the people to cheer. " Therefore he shall be sent to hell and live in a world of dark where he belongs."

Y/n slowly looked up as the Pastor smirked tossing the match onto the wood. Next was only flames, screaming and blackness.

Y/n jumped as he felt someone touch his shoulder making him hit the wall behind him as he noticed Dextra and another person.

"You okay there?" The male asked as he looked towards the spooked duelist making him hold his arm where his duel disk would be at as a burned mark appeared in it's place.

Dextra noticed him flinch in pain demanding her co-worker to lift his sleeve up showing the two a burned mark. But it was in the form of a strange marking.

"Come on. Let's get you to headquarters and get some ice on that." Dextra said as she looked at the man next to her. "Nistro help him out."

The man known as Nistro walked up to him and wrapped the boy's arm around his neck for support.

"I can walk just fine." Y/n said as he got out of Nistro's hold. Holding his arm he followed Dextra with Nistro behind him. Upon entering the building Dextra took Y/n to the infirmary while Nistro headed to Heartland.

Sitting on the infirmary bed Y/n looked around the area seeing different medical supplies. Holding his burn Y/n watched as Dextra left him alone with a nurse as she started to help him but upon helping him she noticed the burn mark was gone and shown a tattoo.

"That's odd." The nurse  announced gaining the boys attention as he looked down seeing the symbol.

"Darkness?" He questioned before the mark seemed to dimly pulse pink before returning to its black color.

"It appears to seem like that. Well take these pain killers just in case okay?" She said handing him a small bottle,grabbing the bottle, he placed it into his jacket.

"Sure. Thanks miss." He smiled before leaving. Exiting the building Y/n noticed Yuma, the man he knew as Nistro, Flip, Tori and Dextra "Uhm what's going on here?"

"Y/n. Good you're here you can help me with this." Yuma said as his brother walked up to him as he was confused.

"Help with Flip?" He asked making Yuma nod.

"Yes. They're gonna ban him from heartland and stop him from competing in tournaments." He answers making Y/n look over his shoulder at Dextra.

"Is there a reason?" He questioned.

"This boy that you know as Flip created fake heart pieces." She explained making him sigh.

"Sorry about that. How about this. We let Flip off with a warning and call it a day?" He offered but Nistro shook his head.

"No way Y/n. This isn't exactly something to give someone a warning about." He said making Y/n nod.

"Okay. I get it." He replied as Yuma was about to say something he noticed Y/n's duel disk appear as he pulled his deck out and placed it in the holder. "Then we'll tag duel. You two vs Yuma and me." He smirked as his deck began to get shuffled in the contraption. "If we win then you'll leave Flip alone. But if we lose then Yuma and I will hand over our decks and leave heartland." 

"Sounds good to me!" Nistro smirked excitedly as he looked towards Y/n.

"What do you say Yuma wanna help your older brother?" He smiled at Yuma making him nod.

"Yeah. Let's bring it to 'em." Yuma smiled as he threw his duel disk up with it landing on him along with activating his D-Gazer.

Nistro and Dextra activated their duel disks next and had their duel tattoos appear as Y/n's eyes turned blue and pink

"Duel!"

"Hey Tori play this while we duel." He smirked tossing his duel Gazer towards Tori showing a song appearing on the screen.

Y/n's turn

"I draw!" Drawing his first card Y/n looked at his hand seeing his first move already set. "I set two cards face down and activate the spell card dark dealing. I discard Goldd to summon it to my side. Next is Phantom King Hydride. I tune my monsters to synchro summon. Come Purgatory Dragon, Void Orge Dragon! I end my turn with a face down." Y/n said placing his final card on the field.

Yuma's turn.

"I set a monster face down along with a face down your turn."

Dextra's turn.

"I'll go next. I draw I summon Morpho butterspy! Next I set two cards face down."

Morpho butterspy 1200 atk

"I don't get it why summon a monster when Y/n's dragon is up on the field?" Yuma asked but Y/n looked at her with his arms crossed as if he's studying her.

"Morpho butterspy is a weak monster,but, it matters what happens in the next turn that can have an outcome against my dragon." He thought as Void Orge towered over him.

Nistro's turn.

"I draw. I summon Hammer Bounzer.

"It's your turn now Y/n. Don't disappoint me." Nistro smirked causing Y/n stop him from completing his turn.

"Before you end your turn Nistro I activate the quickplay spell Gateway to the Dark world. This card allows me to special summon a dark world monster from my graveyard. So let's say hello to Goldd once more."

Y/n's turn.

"I draw! I activate the spell card Dark world Dealings. Now all of us get to draw one card but we have to discard one."

Everyone placed their hands on their decks and drew a card while also getting rid of one.

"Since I only had one card I get to discard Snoww, unlight of the dark world. Now when she is sent to the graveyard I can add a dark world card to my hand. So I choose Gate of the Dark World." Being lifted up by a small cliff Y/n had the doors appear behind him as his dragon flew towards the ground with Goldd jumping down as his attack points increase to twenty six hundred. "I end my turn."

Yuma looked towards Y/n in confusion on why he didn't attack any monsters.

"Is he waiting for something, but what?" The young boy thought before drawing his card.

"I flip over my monster card to summon. Next I summon." Before Yuma could say anything Y/n looked at him and silently said Gagaga Magician. "Gagaga Magician! Now I make it a level three monster. I overlay my monsters to summon Muzu the string doujin."

"Now I activate my trap card Butterfiyolk! This makes your monster flip to defense mode."

"I end my turn with a face down."

Dextra's turn.

"Now I summon swallowtail butterspy. I overlay my two monsters to xyz summon photon papiloperative. Now I activate yolk to turn your monster to attack mode. Go Papiloperative destroy the boy's xyz monster."

"Trap activate. Dark rescue. This card allows me to add a tuner monster from my deck to my hand and synchro summon a fiend monster if you attack a XYZ monster along with your monster attacking the synchro monster. I summon fabled raven to synchro summon dark highlander! But I have to get rid of a thousand life points to keep it on the field."

Dextra's monster flew up and summoned a multitude of colorful butterflies as Highlander jumped and went to attack Papiloperative cutting through the attack and the monster.

Nistro's turn.

"I draw! First I activate double summon to summon blade bounzer and then I'll tribute it to summon phantom bounzer. I overlay my two level six monsters to summon photon strike bounzer. Now attack Photon Strike bounzer destroy Yuma's xyz monster."

"Yuma now!"

"I activate half unbreak. This card protects my monster and we only take half of the damage from your attack."

Y/n&Yuma 2400 l.p

"Tch. This kid won't let up."

"Keep a level head Nistro. You haven't seen how Y/n duels at this point he's carrying the boy." Dextra said as she stared at Y/n as his Synchro monsters stood by his side.

"I end my turn."

Y/n's turn.

"I draw. First I activate gates of the dark world to banish fabled raven to discard Grapha dragon lord of the dark world. When grapha is destroyed I can get rid of one card on the opponents field. Now I get to draw one card. I summon Broww, huntsman of the dark world. But it won't be there for long I send it back to my hand to summon Grapha from my graveyard. Now I overlay void Orge and Grapha to build the overlay network. I xyz summon number 68 Sanaphron sky prison!"

"A number card." Nistro said in shock as the number appeared on Y/n's side of the field.

"Sanaphron's effect activates giving it seven hundred attack points for every monster in the graveyard. But I'm not done. I activate Dark Rescue to bring out Dark Tinker. Now I tune my level one monster with dark highlander. Come to my side Red Dragon Archfiend!"

"No way. That's Y/n's newest dragon." Yuma said shocked.

"Now I attack with Red Dragon Archfiend. Destroy Photon Strike bounzer."

"Not so fast Y/n I activate the trap card Mirror force to destroy all of your monsters!" Nistro said as he smirked seeing the boy's monsters get destroyed.

"Tch. I end my turn."

Yuma& Y/n 1400 l.p

Yuma's turn.

"What can I do? If we don't do anything now. We'll lose the duel." Yuma questioned as he looked at his hand.

"Yuma." Y/n said as he looked down at his brother. "Stay calm and look at your hand. Do you see anything that can help you?"

Looking down at his hand Yuma found monster reborn and gogogo golem.

"Yeah. But I can't summon him." Yuma side looking at Y/n.

"If you only rely on Astral then what kind of duelist are you? It will come when you need it the most." Y/n said as the two brothers nod.

"I summon Gogogo Golem in attack mode,next I activate monster reborn to summon Gagaga Magician." Yuma said as his deck began to glow gold. "I overlay my level four monster to XYZ summon Number 39 Utopia!"

"What he has a number as well?" Dextra said as she looked at the monster card.

"But why stop there I activate call of the haunted. To bring back my brother's Dark Highlander!"

Bursting through the ground Highlander landed next to Y/n.

"Yuma this duel will end on your turn. Let's show them." Y/n said smiling at him.

"Right. I attack with Utopia. Now I activate it's effect to stop it's attack."

"Nice try kid but I activate Photon Strike Bounzers effect to negate the effect and deal one thousand points of damage." Nistro smirked but noticed Y/n smirking.

"Then I guess Yuma will activate Damage Diet making the one thousand turn into five hundred." As if on cue the card was flipped and Y/n along with Yuma are left with nine hundred lift points.

"Nice try but now Utopia has to attack Photon Strike Bounzer. What do you have planned now?"

"Yuma activate my trap card."

"Right I activate Dark Rescue's second effect. When it's one the field for three turns I can banish it and summon a monster in attack position so let's welcome back Red Dragon Archfiend! But it's effect are negated. Go red dragon attack photon strike bounzer!"

Nistro& Dextra 2700 l.p

"Now end this duel Dark Highlander!" The brothers both yelled as Highlander charged at Nistro. "Dark slash!"

Nistro & Dextra 0000l.p

Winner: Yuma and Y/n.

"We did it?" Yuma asked as Y/n was lowered to the ground as reality returned to normal. 

"No. You did it Yuma,I told you, You don't need Astral." Y/n smiled at him causing Y/n to smile at him as the brother's high fived.

Dextra looked towards the two as she noticed Y/n hold Yuma in a headlock as he ruffled his brothers hair with the two smiling.  "He's like Kite." She muttered. Nistro stood up and walked over to the two boy's gaining their attention.

"That was a good duel you two. But I'm not satisfied. Next time we duel I'll win." Nistro smiled causing the boy to nod.

"We'll see Nistro." Y/n said but was corrected by the man.

"Name's Gauche. Nistro is just a code name. Same with Dextra her real name is Droite." Gauche said smiling.

"Nice. What did Heartland give me?" Y/n asked his coworker.

"He's given you the name Dark Prince."  Gauche said making Y/n confused.

"Prince?" He asked making the man shrug.

"Not sure. But anyways I'll see you soon Prince." He smiled making Y/n to fist bump him.

"You too Nistro." Y/n said as he smiled at the man. "Oh Droite." He remembered as he ran to her side and helped her up. "You good?"

"Yeah. Thanks." She said as she blushed.

"Anyways I'm off with Yuma. I'll let expect to see you in the finals." He smiled making her nod. "You too Gauche."

"Bet on it." The hyper man said as he and Y/n once again fist bumped each other before Y/n left with Yuma to get some food as Tori left with them as she handed him his D-Gazer.
