Y/n stood on the monorail platform as he looked around the city after the announcement of the duel carnival three days of dueling. He didnt really care about how long the dueling days were but he did care about where number 52 was. After all he couldn't get that image out of his head.

"If it's True then finding number 52 will help me attain a new power and possibly a new memory." He muttered as he looked down at his synchro and xyz cards. "Once I find number 52. I can find out what this destiny is." Turning around Y/n walked towards the center of heartland city. Upon entering the center of the city he noticed a giant building. "What's this?"

Walking towards the entrance of the building he made his way towards what seemed to be a field. But he also noticed two duelist. His brother and his opponent. But he saw that Yuma wasn't wearing his outfit but instead a red and orange soccer outfit.

"Huh, why is Yuma?" He questioned but noticed his opponents monster. "Playmaker?" He asked as the monster stood in front of Yumas muzu the string master.

Yuma smiled and used a spell card to stop Striker from activating his trap card. Due to Yumas effect Playmakers attack points were cut in half since his life points were lower than his opponents by sixteen hundred as his were only one hundred.

"Now I activate Muzus effect doubling its attack." Yuma announced as Muzus attack points went up to three thousand. "End this Muzu!" He smiled as his monster ran across the field with a soccer ball before kicking it hard destroying playmaker and sending Striker through the goals net.

Yuma smiled as he cheered but noticed Y/n standing in the crowd smirking with his arms crossed before he gave him a thumbs up then vanished into the crowd as he went to find his own duel.

Walking around the city Y/ns head began to pulse as a flash of a memory appeared in his head. 

"I overlay my level four Beiige of the dark world and my level four Snoww to xyz summon number 52 Diamond crab king!"

He breathed in air as he looked around but noticed a blonde hair girl with blue and green eyes along with a gold duel disk and a pink duel gazer.

"That's what you get. Now I'll be taking your heart piece and since I won you cant duel ever." She smirked and laughed.

"Looks like this is a spoiled rich kid Kari told me about." He thought to himself as he walked towards them. "Hey. Why don't you leave him alone."

"Oh? This isn't your business why don't you leave or do you want to duel me and my gem knights?" She said smirking.

"I'll duel. But if I win you leave this person alone."

"Okay but how about a bet. If I win not only do I get your heart peice but your number card. But if you win I'll give you mine." She smirked making Y/n shocked.

"Fine. We'll do that." Agreeing to her terms Y/n and the female got ready to duel.

Alice's turn.

"I draw. I summon Gem knight Garnet in attack position. Now I set one card face down. Your turn." She smirked as Y/n drew a card.

Y/ns turn.

"I draw. I set a monster and set one card face down." Setting his face down cards Y/n ended his turn.

Alice's turn.

"I draw. I activate the spell card Gem knight fusion to fuse my garnet and a gem knight monster from my hand to fusion summon Gem knight Ruby." Alice smirked as she summoned her fusion monster.  "Now my Ruby attacks yoyr face down." She smiled as Y/ns monster flipped to show dark resonator.  "When Ruby attacks a defense monster it dishes out piercing damage." Y/n was being pushed back as gem dust went flying past him from Ruby's axe.

"I end my turn."

Y/n slowly began to get up from the ground as he smirked. "I draw."  He looked at the card he just drew with him beginning to think about his opponents back row.

"That card has to be bottomless trap hole. I'm just gonna have to give it a chance." He thought to himself as he summoned Fabled Raven.

"I activate fable Ravens effect I discard Goldd and Beiige making it level four and increase its attack to two thousand. But now Beiiges effect along with Goldds activates. I special summon Goldd in attack mode."

"I activate bottomless trap hole!" Alice smirked as Goldd fell into an never ending fall.

"Now beiige comes to the field. You should've kept that face down cause now I tune beiige and dark resonator. Come forth Dark Highlander!"  Y/n yelled as he monster stood infront of him with its scythe on his shoulder. "Highlander attack Ruby!" Y/ns monster rushed forward and brought its scythe down onto Ruby as it tried to protect itself only for its axe to break and with the scythe cutting it in half. Ruby exploded into green and yellow particles as Alice's life points went down.

"Go raven attack her directly!"

"I end my turn."

Alice's turn.

"I draw. I activate monster reborn to special summon garnet from my graveyard. Next I summon Gem knight Sardonyx. I overlay my two level four monsters to xyz summon number 52 daimond crab king. "

"Now my monsters effect activates by getting rid of one overlay unit I can switch its attack and defense points  until the end of the battle phase and once its over my crab is turned to defense mode. Now attack Dark Highlander!"

"I activate my quick play spell dark prince's destiny.  I banish highlander to summon on my side of the field my two Graphas. Now one becomes a level four tuner and the other becomes a level four effect monster. Now I tune my two Graphas to synchro summon Void Ogre Dragon in attack mode!"

Void orge and Number 52 attacked each other as Y/ns dragon held the giant crabs pincers before blowing fire at it as a explosion went off. Y/n covered his face as the smoke went past them. Y/n looked up as he saw Number 52 still stood on the field even after the attack tie.

"How?!"

"A number can only be defeated by another number. I set a card face down." Alice smirked as Y/n looked up in shock as he collapsed to his knees.

"I don't have any monsters that can defeat that thing." He said in despair. Y/m could only look up at the monster with three thousand defense. "Damn it." He yelled but a deep voice was made itself known.

"The power of the prince will be known. Summon that of fiends dragon."

Y/ns eyes widen as he felt his soul leave his body and appeared in front of the gate.  The pink gem in the center of the emblem began to pulse.

"The power of the prince will be known."

Y/n looked at the door,looking down at his hand, y/n noticed red flames began to surround it. Loud creaking could be heard as the gate began to open as the emblem split in half with a monster flying towards Y/n.

-----Back at the duel-----

Y/n slowly began to stand up as he glared at the woman. "Its my turn. I draw!" Y/n yelled as he looked at his hand seeing dark world lightning. To destroy your face down card." Purple lighting appeared as Alice's face down was destroyed. "I discard latinum exalt of the dark world. Now its effect activate summoning it to my field. I tune my level 2 fabled raven and my level six latinum!" He yelled as his body was consumed in flames. "Dragon made in the fires of hell. Come to my side my trusted companion. Synchro summon!"  Y/n lifted up a blank white card as flames ran across the top of it showing card details.

"RED DRAGON ARCHFIEND!"

Y/ns new dragon inhaled all the flames that surrounded the boy as it roared in celebration of it's return.

"Red dragon archfiend attack number 52! Absolute power force!"

Y/ns dragon summoned a ball of fire in its hand and rushed towards number 52 crashing its pyrotechnic at the crab.

"Weren't you listening numbers can only be destroyed by battle with another number." Alice said cockily but Y/n smirked.

"Well it's a good thing that Red Dragon Archfiends effect activates. When it battles a defense position monster its automatically destroyed!" Y/n announced as Red dragon archfiend dug its claws into the diamonds on number 52 before a massive explosion went off destroying it.

"I end my turn." Smirking Y/n looked on at Alice as she could only draw a spell wishing it was a fusion card as she could've summoned something but couldn't as she had only two gem knight monsters and not three.

"I end my turn."

"Red Dragon Archfiend attack Alice directly and win this duel. Absolute power force!"

Alice teared up as she was blasted back. Red dragon archfiend flew over her and removed number 52 with harmless flames as the card appeared in the monsters hand. Y/n walked over to the two as the dragon gave the boy the card before exploding into pixels.

"Where am i?" Alice asked as she looked up at the hand in front of her.

"Hey are you okay?" Y/n asked making her blush.

"Uhm yeah. Thanks. What happened?" She asked looking around.

"We dueled and I won. Look at your duel disk." Pointing down at her duel disk Alice followed the finger and saw the win/lose statement.

"Aw. I'm out. Well I thank you. I just wish I could show my parents my skills." She said as she handed the boy a heart piece.

"I'm sure they know how hard you dueled. Well I'm gonna head out." He waved but noticed that she gripped his wrist.

"Wait before you go. Uhm. Do you plan on getting to the finals?"  Alice said as she blushed.

"I'm not planning. I'm sure I'm confident in my skills to reach the finals." He smiled.

"Well I can help you. My family is rich and I can buy you the heart pieces." She said as she blushed.

"No thanks I rather win this fair and square. But you did help me and this card is to show for it." He smiled showing number 52.

"Well if that's the case. I'll cheer you on when you enter the finals." She smiled as he nod.

"I hope to hear you for when it happens." Smiling Y/n walked off as Alice looked at him with a smile.

"Why was I blushing at him." She asked but remembered what her head maid told her.

"Someone will save you from this evil Alice I promise."

"I guess he was the person. I'll celebrate his victory when it comes." She smiled as she walked away.

Y/n sat on a bench in the middle of town as he grabbed number 52. A bright white light surrounded the boy as he looked around in spirit form. 

"What is this place?" He asked looking around as he saw a battle field. Looking down Y/n saw himself as he wore what seems to be spartan armor except he didnt wear a helmet, instead he wore a circlet with a pink gem in it, but he saw he was dueling some orange haired boy.

"Don't you see Y/n you can't beat me!" The boy smiled wickedly as he had two Gorgonic Gaurdians.

"Vector." Y/n growled as he had number 52 on his side of the field.

"I draw. I summon fabled raven to discard two monsters. Now I summon beiige. But snoww and Graphas effect activates. I bring dark world dealings to my hand and I destroy your left gorgonic Gaurdian. Now I tune my raven and beiige to synchro summon a monster given to me by the king of the dark world. Come forth Red Dragon Archfiend! I activate daimond crabs effect go attack Gorgonic Gaurdian!"

"Nice try Y/n cause now I activate my monsters effect to destroy number 52." Vector laughed as the daimomd crab was blown up due to Gorgonic Gaurdian's effect. "But now I activate my other Gaurdians effect making your red dragon archfiend's attack turn to zero."

Y/n looked behind himself seeing the once bright red dragon turn dim and lifeless.

"Red Dragon!"

"Say goodbye Y/n!" Vector laughed as he had his Gaurdians attack his monster and him.

"Trap activate! Dark Survivor!" Y/n yelled as a stone slab flipped over to show a wounded spartan walking through the gates of the dark world. "This card allows me to summon a synchro monster from my graveyard with it becoming a normal monster and its level decreased by two. Come forth Dark highlander!"

"Tch. I end my turn."

Vector 4000

"I draw! I activate my two dark dealings. By sending Silva and Goldd to the graveyard I can summon them from my graveyard. Now I overlay my level five goldd,Silva and highlander. Come forth, Number!" Y/n yelled before the bright light came causing the present version of him to be knocked back onto the bench in the real world.

Y/n sat on the bench confused as he held his head with number 52 dimming the bright light it created, but the anger soon turned into rage.

"Vector." He growled as he stood up and went home as the sun was setting.  

Walking home Y/n held the two number cards along with his new synchro in hand, but noticed a female, as she looked towards him.

"Can I help you?" He asked setting his cards in his black and white deck box that rest on the right side of his waist.

"Are you Y/n Tsukumo?" She asked making him cross his arms.

"Who's asking?" He questioned but she threw a small card at him making him quickly catch it before it hit his face,looking down, he saw an invitation from Mr.Heartland.

"Mr.Heartland wish to have an audience with you." She clarified making him raise an eyebrow.

"If this is about my cards tell him to stick it where the sun don't shine. I've dealed with enough crap today. I've rather rest for the night." He said making the female look at him and nod.

"He only wishes to meet you within the week. So you don't have to worry anytime soon." She said as she vanished into the night.

Y/n sighed as he made his way home hoping to understand more of his past but this is just a road block he wishes to get over with by the end of the day tomorrow,after all, he's been tired.
