[Jungkook's POV]
I shot a text to Taehyung letting him know I was on my way to the coffee shop before I stepped outside of my new house. It's still hard to believe that I moved in next to the first person I meet in this neighborhood, but I'm glad it's Taehyung of all people. I slipped my phone into my jeans' pocket before I took off at a quick jog in the direction that I think is where the coffee shop is. In all honesty, I didn't remember the exact location. But! I had a general idea as to where the building was, so I just had to keep an eye out I guess.
Running became harder as I realized the outfit I was in was not meant for running at all. First problem being, I was wearing my timberlands and while they look good, they're not exactly running shoes. On top of the shoe issue, I was wearing a loose dress shirt. It wasn't the worst thing to run in, but if I start sweating from this run it'll look awkward when I get to the cafe. I figured I had to be close so I decided to just walk the rest of the way. I caught my breath as I walked around for a bit, searching for my desired location. It didn't take long for me to realized I was on the verge of being lost, so I stepped into the nearest shop, a small bookstore, to ask for directions.
The cool air conditioning burst into my face as I opened the door, it felt great after my small jog. The shop was clean and relaxing in its own kind of way, I wasn't big on reading but I spotted the magazines and got curious. Maybe they have the new editions of Gamer Weekly. I browsed for a bit before remembering why I had walked in here in the first place. I approached the counter where a man with pale blonde hair, nearly white, that was flipped to the side was leaning on the counter reading some book. The glasses he wore seemed to compliment the whole bookstore vibe. He didn't seem to notice me when I approached, must be a good book.
"Uh, pardon?" I gave a small wave as I attempted to get his attention. The blonde man looked up from his book with a small amount of surprise on his face, it quickly was replaced with a smile as he stuck a bookmark in the page and closed his book.
"Oh, hello there! I'm Namjoon, how could I help you?" He quickly slid the book out of the way as he spoke. The book must have slid farther than he wanted as not long after he finished his sentence, I heard a soft thud as the book hit the carpet. "Sorry, let me get that real quick..." It seemed to be a natural occurrence to him, I couldn't help but smile as the older man quickly went to retrieve his book only to return with a dopey smile on his face. "Anyways, back to helping you."
"I'm just wondering if you know where the coffee shop is, I'm new in town and I told a friend I'd meet him there." I quickly explained myself as he listened intently. Namjoon then smiled again and walked out from behind the counter.
"I was thinking about getting some coffee myself, I could take you there." I smiled in return and gave him a small bow in gratitude. The tall man opened the door for me and flipped a 'closed' sign as he followed me out. "What's your name anyway kid?"
"Jungkook, I just moved in last night." He nodded as he turned to lock the door, the taller man told me about the town as we walked. Before I knew it, we were in front of the shop. "Chimmy's Coffee and Tea?" My surprise gained a small chuckle from Namjoon. The name of the coffee shop was so strange and yet so inviting that I couldn't help but chuckle myself. I managed to peak through the windows to see exactly who I was looking for sitting at a counter talking to the barista. Taehyung casually sipped a drink as he talked and laughed with the barista. I couldn't help but smile myself.
Namjoon opened the door and I could hear the barista say something as a bell dinged above my head, but I couldn't make it out as all my focus went to the ball of joy with whipped cream on his nose, Taehyung.
