Calum gently placed me down on the bed as I winced slightly.
"I'm sorry." He grimaced as he pulled the covers over my body.
"You okay?" He asked. I nodded. He returned it before heading to the door and opening it.
"Calum." I spoke suddenly. He looked at me.
"Hmm?" He asked.
"Could you please sleep with me?" I asked quietly.
"What?" He asked.
"Despite everything that's happened with Ricky...I still don't like to sleep alone." I admitted. He sighed before shutting the door and walking towards the bed.
"I guess some things never change, huh." He mumbled as he climbed in between the covers. I lay my head against his chest as his arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer.
"Calum, do you remember the night of my engagement party, on the balcony?" I asked.
"Of course, that was the night I realised that I really had lost you." He admitted. Tears pricked my eyes at his words.
"You asked what I would say if you were to ask me to marry you right there and I never got to answer because Ricky showed up." I spoke.
"Why are you bringing this up now?" He asked.
"Because my answer was yes." I admitted. I felt Calum's heart speeding up.
"What?" He asked after a minute.
"If you would have gotten down on one knee and proposed to me there and then, I would have said yes." I whispered.
"Because you were right. I still did love you. I still do love you." I admitted. Suddenly, I felt Calum's fingers gently being hooked under my chin so I looked up at him.
"I still love you too." He whispered before pressing our lips together. I quickly returned it, gently placing my hand on his cheek to bring him closer.

"Calum?" I called as I walked through the house. I gasped as I walked into the living room and saw the candles with Calum standing there in his suit. This was an all too familiar scene. Except this time, I wasn't going to fuck it up. I smiled at him.
"I've done this once before and needless to say, it didn't go the way I had planned." He chuckled. I laughed as I nodded, tears already pricking my eyes.
"But I'm going to do it right this time." He spoke before getting down on one knee and pulling out a box. I gasped as it was the same box and it opened to reveal the same ring.
"You kept it all this time." I choked.
"Of course I did. I wasn't going to give you up that easily." He smiled.
"Y/N, I love you so much. We've literally been through hell together and so many things have stood in our way, yet we got through it together. So Y/N, will you marry me?" He asked. Tears rolled down my cheeks.
"Yes. Yes I'll marry you." I laughed. His smiled widened as he stood up and took the ring out before placing it on my finger. I smiled as I grabbed his face and smashed our lips together as he gripped my hips.
"I should have said yes the first time." I admitted.
"That's okay, baby, the main thing is that you said yes." He reassured, gently holding my face. I smiled before kissing him again.

Calum and I sat on the sofa, watching tv when the phone rang.
"That'll be the wedding planner." I spoke as I stood up.
"Why is she still sorting things out? The wedding is only two weeks away." Calum groaned.
"Shush." I chuckled as I pressed answer and held the phone to my ear.
"Hey Amanda-oh hey mum." I spoke. Calum looked at me. I frowned.
"Mum, why are you crying?" I asked. Calum's eyebrows knotted as he stared at me.
"Mum, calm down, I can't understand what you're saying-" my breath hitched.
"No. He can't be. No." I muttered as tears started to prick my eyes. I took the phone away from my ear and just looked at Calum.
"What's up?" He asked. I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out at first.
"My dad has just died." I choked. Calum's eyes widened as he engulfed me in a hug.
"Baby, I am so sorry." He soothed as he cradled me. I just sat there, letting the tears fall down my cheeks.
"The wedding is two weeks away...how could he die before the wedding." I choked.
"I'm sorry Y/N." Calum muttered into my hair.
