Part 1

" So, do you have anyone?"

Yunhee turned around to look at her mother standing at the kitchen counter giving her usual strict face. Both of her eyebrows were raised as she hugged her body.

" What do you mean" Yunhee managed to say as she swallowed her cornflakes.

" You know what I mean" her mother said.

" I'm still not ready for a relationship, mum" she said.

Shin Yunhee just turned 24 last week. She was no longer the small cheerful girl who she used to be. Maturity hit her like a truck and she can say she doesn't carry the resemblance of the kid her parents cherished. She was tall and lean, with a  not so skinny body. Her face was no longer round, she lost all her baby fat and the maturity took over the once cute face.

Being a business graduate, it took her a while to realize her love in hair-dressing, and convincing her mum to let her open a hair salon. She has been working for a year, and she must admit she was quite successful. She got enough money to move out whenever she want, but she choose not to leave her mother alone.

" I was just wondering, Yunhee. All your friends had at least got into a relationship once, but you..."

" I know mum. It's just, I don't find anyone attractive"

How could she tell her mother that she was still in love with the boy in the red jacket. How could she tell her that his simple act of throwing affection got her hooked up with him for 21 years? She didn't even know his name, let alone where he is now. Thinking about it, she didn't even know where the rest of the boys are. She just left them after a week, just like how she promised to her mother. She left with no memories to bring with, expect the blurry picture Jin took.

" Yunhee, are you here?"

" Oh, sorry mum. I zoned out" Yunhee said, bringing her now empty bowl to the sink.

" As I was saying, Yunhee" her mother fidgeted with her fingers. " Are you perhaps attracted to girls?"

" What?!" Yunhee almost dropped her bowl. "No, I'm as straight as a noodle"

" But noodles can be bended if they're boiled" her mother asked her innocently, a tint of smile on her face.

" Fine, I'll change my statement. I'm straighter than a ruler" she said, putting on a defensive stance. Her mother bursted into fist of laughter looking at Yunhee's flustered face. She grabbed her shoullder and smiled cheekily.

" You know I won't mind it if you have a girlfriend, right?"

" I'm late, mum. I need to go" Yunhee grabbed her bag and walked outside, completely ignoring her mother's blunt statement. The hair salon was nearby, so she always walked there.

" Try to find me a son- in-law, dear" her mother shouted, waving at her furiously. Yunhee waved back at her, chuckling. How can she even hate the woman who sacrificed her whole life for her?

~~~
" You are late" Jihyo said as Yunhee entered the salon.
" What did your mother said this time?" she rested her head on her palm as her eyes followed Yunhee's movement.
" She asked if I was a lesbian"
" Wow that was something" Jihyo said as she tighten the black apron on her waist, getting ready for the day. " I would have thought so if I was in her situation too"
" Well, I'm not"
" You must be having a really high expectation for not finding anyone interesting in your 26 years years of existence" Jihyo smirked. "Hurry up or else all the good ones will be taken"
" I do have someone" Yunhee said, looking at her.
" The boy in the red jacket?" she asked, wiggling her eyebrows. Yunhee nodded.
" Seriously, Yunhee. I don't understand why you're still waiting for him. For all I know, he could be married now, maybe even have kids"
" I know, it's just that I don't find anyone else worth trying" Yunhee said sadly. Since the small incident she had, no one else was likeable for her. She had been proposed numerous times, but the boy's proposal was the only one in her head.
Yunhee walked to the cashier to tidy the place up, killing some time. Jihyo followed her, cleaning the magazines that are stacked up in a corner.
" Why don't you use Tinder?" she asked.
" Why should I use Tinder?" Yunhee asked, wiping the table with wet wipes.
" To find someone you're attracted to. Tinder has a wide range of men"
" I'll try" Yunhee said.
" Oh no, I know you won't do it. I'm going to open one account for you after this" Jihyo said, smirking.
Yunhee ignored her. She knew that if Jihyo smiled like that, she is more than determined to get that thing done. No amount of begging or puppy eyes charm will shake her determined heart.
" Fine" Yunhee said as she saw a woman coming inside the salon, her long black hair flowing behind her.
" Hi, I would like to wash and blow my hair" the customer said, confidence in her voice since she's a regular customer.
Yunhee smiled. Her daily routine has started.
~~~

" You're staying at Jihyo's?" her mother asked.

" Yes, we have some things to do, so I decided to stay at her house today. I'll come tomorrow after work" Yunhee said, locking the door of her salon. Jihyo was already gone with the excuse that she needs to ready some things.

" Okay, then. Don't stress yourself" her mother said.

Jihyo's house was located at the outskirts of the busy city of Seoul, hidden from the busy crowd. Unlike hers which was located in a rather noisy area. Her neighborhood was a old one actually, which was renovated by a rich man. He decided to leave the 80's touch of the buildings, which made them really attractive to her eyes. Yunhee always loved the 70's and 80's era.

" You're here" Jihyo flashed her pearly white teeth when Yunhee arrived to her house. Jihyo's hair was still wet, indicating that she just showered. She pulled Yunhee inside and made her sit on the sofa, before taking her phone excitedly.

" Hey, at least let me freshen up!" Yunhee giggled looking at Jihyo's excited form.

" Fine, hurry up" Jihyo jumped on the sofa impatiently, her eyes still locked on the phone. Yunhee chuckled and went to her bathroom upstairs. She always brings extra clothes with her, so she didn't need to ask her one.

As she was bathing, she heard knocks on the door.

" Hurry up, I'm too excited to wait for you" Jihyo shouted.

" I'm coming, don't break the door" Yunhee shouted back. She quickly washed her body and dressed up. She didn't bother to comb her hair since she was too lazy to do so. As she was walking down, she heard a faint sound of music.

" What song is this?"

" Seesaw" Jihyo said, jamming towards the song.

" Isn't it the sugar guy's song?"

" It's Suga" Jihyo pouted, clearly offended that Yunhee doesn't remember her idol's name. Yunhee giggled and sat beside her.

" So' Jihyo took her phone and showed it on to her face. Yunhee saw a photo of a man, a half naked man. he had well toned abs and was smiling seductively at the camera.

" What do you think?" she wiggled her eyebrows.

" Eww, no. I don't like boys like that"

" Okay then, how about this?" she showed her another photo. This time, it was a boy with a skin so white it made Yunhee feel jealous. He had a cute cat filter on his face and his lips were puckered forward as if he's going to kiss someone.

" Why is his mouth like that?" she said, showing the phone down. " I think I can tie his mouth with a ribbon"

" Oh come on, you don't like a hot boy, you don't like a cute boy! What exactly do you want?!" Jihyo shouted in frustration.

" The boy in the red jacket" she replied without thinking.
