Chapter Six

Canna grabbed a muffin and placed it on her tray as the line continued to move. This place was like the cafeteria she had at school, crowded, unpleasant, had food that probably wasn't the best, and full of idiots. She looked around, spotting Sophie's easy to find ice blue hair.

"Hey, Canary!"

Canna looked over to see Andrew beside her, not surprised by his sudden appearance anymore.

"I'm guessing randomly appearing is going to become a common thing." Canna joked.

"As common as waves on the sea!" Andrew shouted, practically hugging his tray of pancakes.

"Do you like pancakes or something?" Canna questioned, walking with Andrew to a nearby table.

"No, they taste rubbish." Andrew responded, grinning from ear to ear.

"Are you British?" Canna continued.

"Nope!" Andrew exclaimed, slamming his tray down at a seat.

"So you make absolutely no sense all the time. Got it." Canna sighed.

"DING, DING, DING!!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!!" Andrew shrieked at the top of his lungs.

The whole room became quiet as everyone stared at Andrew as he plopped down into his seat, grinning like a child. Canna slowly slid down in her seat, hating the attention.

"Andrew, are you making the newbie feel uncomfortable?" Carmen questioned, sitting across from them.

"Are you a fruit? Cause if you were you'd be a fine-apple!" Andrew said, doing finger guns at Carmen.

"Why do I even ask?" Carmen said, giggling.

"I'm questioning that myself..." Canna mumbled, poking her muffin with a fork.

"You okay..?"

Canna looked up to see a girl with reddish brown hair standing over her.

"You look kinda upset." The girl explained.

Canna didn't respond and instead stared blankly at her. The girl sighed in response to her silence and sat down across from Canna, next to Carmen.

"You new here?" She questioned instead.

"I guess you could say that..." Canna mumbled, stabbing her muffin.

"No need to take it out on Mr. Fluffers!" Andrew cried out.

"Oh great! You named my muffin, too! Can I not do anything without being bombarded with unreasonable shouting!" Canna shouted, causing the room to go silent again.

"The irony here is unreal." Andrew pointed out.

"The irony here is unreal!" Canna mocked, faking Andrew's voice

"Take a chill pill, Canna! After all your name is Canna not Cannot." Andrew said, snickering softly.

At this point, Canna launched herself at him, tackling him to the ground.

"At first I thought they were about to start making out..." A disappointed person said rather loudly as the two began fighting.

"Canna! I know you can but that doesn't mean you should!" Andrew continued as his attempts to dodge her punches became rather ineffective.

"Shut up!" Canna cried out, tears running down her face as she continued to punch Andrew. "Shut up..." She mumbled as her punches began to slow and she sunk into his chest, sobbing.

"What the fluff..?" Andrew practically shouted.

Canna didn't respond, only continued to cry on Andrew.

"This reminds me of Vivien when she-" Justin was cut off by Vivien punching him in the stomach.

"I'll tell my own stories!" Vivien mumbled with a threatening look at Justin.

Andrew began awkwardly petting Canna, "There, there..?" He questioned.

"She's... gone..." Canna sobbed.

A bang of doors against walls made the room seem even more silent then it already was.

"I've been informed that a particular girl is disrupting the peace here!" Mistress Violet exclaimed as she walked through the doors.

Her outfit had changed into very tall heels and a rather short purple dress with long fluffy lavender plumage out the back. Her hair was all pulled up and was sprayed with a bright pink color, similar plumage from her dress placed in her hair.

Eyes turned to Canna, who was lying frozen, still on top of the now terrified Andrew.

"Canna, darling. Come take a walk with me." Violet practically hissed.

Canna slowly rose from the ground and walked rather quickly toward Mistress Violet, her hair swamping her face in hopes of hiding from the stares of the others. Mistress Violet grabbed Canna's wrist almost as soon as she was in reach.

"Children, breakfast has ended. Leave and go on with your daily tasks." She called as she walked out, dragging Canna behind her.

Canna looked back and gasped in horror when she saw two figures, cloaked in black, walk into the cafeteria. One turned to look at her, it's neck shining from some sort of metal. It's eyes glinted, entrancing her but she quickly looked away and hoped the creature did the same.

"Do you know what those are, Camara?" Violet questioned.

"I don't go by that horrendous name..." Canna mumbled.

"Canna sounds like an awful name to grow up with. Camara sounds so pretty and elegant." Violet pointed out.

"Camara was the name of my great great aunt who killed her family in hopes of gaining eternal life. I have no relation to her. At least not anymore." Canna said.

"I was told your mother told her parents that was the name they gave you. Considering that everyone had a name brought down from your family. And since Canna meant great beast to your grandmother she would have never allowed it." Violet moved on, smirking.

"How did you..?" Canna whispered.

"I have my ways, Camara. Now answer me. Do you know what those are?" Mistress Violet questioned, smirking broadly.

"No, Ma'am." Canna said softly.

"They're serverus. They become those once I lock a server around their neck." Violet said, pleased with herself.

"A server? Isn't that just a person who serves?" Canna questioned.

"Well fancy names aren't really my forte, missy. Server just seemed to make sense. It's pretty much a thick metal choker." Violet mumbled.

"Why not call it a choker then?" Canna continued.

"Silence!" Violet shouted. "All you need to know is that once a server is applied, the person forgets their identity! They became mindless machines that work for me! The one who caught your eye back there was my husband, Henry. Such a wonderful lad, what a shame he cheated on me."

"Is there a way to get the server off?" Canna questioned, fear growing more intense as Violet began sounding more and more insane.

"Of course, deary! I have a key!" Violet chuckled.

"Okay, all of this is fine and dandy but why are you telling me this?" Canna asked, annoyed now.

"Because let's just say I found your Daddy."
