So you've probably heard people say that there are consequences to your actions, but what if that isn't the case this time.

Sure I'd be nice, but what if it wasn't. What happens when someone feels the need to be accountable for their mistakes but are instead left with no consequences whatsoever?

You can't be accountable for your own actions without facing the consequences or feeling the need of a punishment.

But if that isn't given to you, then there is a sense of injustice.

So how do some get over it?
Self-Punishment.
Some punishments could be more harmful than others...

That is one out of the long list of things that can come from Guilt.

Of course, there is different types of guilts ranging from your own actions to feeling guilty from something you could have never known or predicted...

Keep that in mind not just for this story, but in real life if you need it.

(There is alot of Pov switches in this chapter between Springtrap and Fredbear)

A/N: This part of the story takes place on 4th of july being the Day Of Independence for AmErIcA.(U.S)

And to celebrate, we americans use funny haha boom explosions in the sky to celebrate for some reason. Anyways moving on to the story.

Springtrap's Pov:

I slowly awoke feeling Fredbear having his arms wrapped around me as he had the night before. I didn't dare move because I had wanted to stay in this moment for just a bit longer.

I love him but he wouldn't like me back. Heh, who would even like me after I tried to take their position...
At this point I would just take the punishment. I never really meant to take control...

I was too scared to ever be under someone who would treat me like shit that I instantly ruined the relationship I could have had from an actual nice boss...

Maybe me and Fredbear could be...friends? It would take time to be friends with him and to be honest...I don't mind.

I snuggled closer to him knowing I would never be able to be with him and have moments like these ever again. We stay'd like that as I snuggled closer. I felt as if I didn't snuggle closer then i'd lose him.

I felt safe in Fredbear's arms. It was as he was protecting me, but I knew he must have been sleepy and needed something to hug.
"Please never let me go..." I whispered as I felt a tear roll down my eyes.

Suddenly, I heard a hiss and later an explosion which not only caused me to come back to reality, but also caused Fredbear to get up. He got up not noticing he was hugging me.

"Aww shit my head..." I heard him groan as he rubbed his head letting go of me. I tried wiping the tears that escaped my eyes before Fredbear could notice.

Though, in the end he did notice.
"W-Hey are you ok?" he asked. I quickly wiped them away as I nodded. Fredbear was staring at me for a bit before answering.

"Sorry, but may I ask who you are?" he asked and at first I thought he was joking, but that was until I saw his face...
He wasn't joking.

Fredbear's Pov:

"M-Me?" The rabbit stuttered pointing towards himself.
"Yeah, who are you?" I asked in a curious tone as his eyes widened.
"Do y-you not remember who I am..." he asked his voice faltering a bit.

I shook my head. "I can't seem to remember much after visiting my family...did I get drunk or something because I have a massive headache right now" I said rubbing my head because it was hurting like hell.

"Well...shit. Sorry, how about you talk with the others right now..." he said getting up and walking over to the bathroom before closing the door.

"That was weird..." I mumbled getting up and seeing what the noise that woke me up was. Turns out that there were kids lighting up fireworks since it was 4th of July.

"Great...definitely not gonna sleep tonight..." I grumbled walking out of the room as I went to go meet the rest like he said.

Springtrap's Pov:

I rushed into the bathroom not being able to believe what was happening...
"Fredbear couldn't have- he's joking, right? There was no way this could have happ..enned...." I said to myself in the mirror not being able to calm down until I realized what caused it...

"He got knocked out yesterday when he hit the floor..." I said now knowing what could have happened.

Fredbear doesn't remember me...
Neither would he remember our interaction 2 days ago...

I could start a new friendship with him...
And I wouldn't have to worry about a thing...
"I could take advantage of this...but it feels wrong..." I said to myself before looking at myself in the mirror before taking a deep breath and exiting the bathroom.

When I walked outside, I saw that Fredbear had gone out. Freddy told me earlier that we wouldn't open today due to it being 4th of july and not wanting kids blasting fireworks in the restaurant.

I went back onto the bed and tried to go back to sleep. After a while I felt cold and pulled the blanket closer to me, but still felt something missing. I realized that I was missing Fredbear being with me and decided to bury myself under the blankets...

"If i'm going to confront Fredbear, then i'm going to need to tell him the truth. I don't want to lie to him just to get with him." I said before closing my eyes and letting myself fall into a restless sleep.

Fredbear's Pov:

Last Night

I looked around and saw that everyone had left because it was just about closing time.
Once I made sure that everyone was gone, I locked the pizzeria and shut off the arcade machines.

...
Maybe Ron was right...
I'll ask Foxy for help....

I wanted to know if I made the right decision...was this the right approach.
If I keep this up then maybe...maybe i'll see some good in him.

I explained to Foxy about what I wanted to do. "Are you sure about this Fredbear?" Foxy asked me. I hesitated for a bit and I knew I may regret it but I nodded.

"You will only remember what happened ever since you met Springtrap until after you've made sure that you can trust him, ok? Until then, you won't have any recollection about what happened." Foxy explained.

"So after you do this hypnosis thing, I would only have to fall asleep and it will take it's affect?" I asked and Foxy nodded.
"Ok, hit me with it then!", I said confidently.

...

I made it back to me and Springtrap's room. Tommorrow was gonna be some type of celebration like 4th of july or something so the pizzeria will stay closed for the day.

Flashback Over

I was super confused as to why there was a rabbit, but all I know is he must sleep right next to me. He was also crying this morning? What was that all about...

I walked over to Foxy's room since I usually go to him whenever I need advice.

I knocked on his door as I see a tired Foxy open the door. "Fredbear, what is it?" he grumbled.

"Foxy, I need help. There is this rabbit in my room, or maybe it's our room, but I can't seem to remember who he is" I tried explaining to Foxy before his eyes widened

"Fredbear, you hired him 2 days ago. I may know why you may have forgotten but i'll figure that out later. Why don't you talk to him and try to see if you can remember him. I'll inform the others later." he said before shutting his door.
"That wasn't much help..." I grumbled as I moved my way back to the hallway. I noticed everyone was asleep and it was still pretty early.

"I should probably go out on my run..." I said to myself. Walking inside the bedroom I noticed that the bunny was on the bed.
"Hey, bunny." I said but got no response from him.

"Are you awake?" I asked and I got a grumbled response.
"My name is Springtrap..." he said finally lifting the covers off of himself as his messy hair was shown. I could see the dry tear marks on his cheeks from earlier when I noticed he was crying.

"Nice to meet you Springtrap. I may not remember you, but would you like to go out on a run?" I asked putting on some shorts.

"Are you asking me to go on a run with you? You're not forcing me?" he asked and I chuckled.

"Why would I force you to go out on a run with me-" I was asking until he interrupted me. "I'm going on a run with you." he quickly replied as he grabbed a green and gold hoodie and brushed his messy hair.

"O-Oh ok..." I said not knowing exactly what was happening. "Should we go now?" I asked him and he nodded. As we walked out of the pizzeria, I started at a slow pace because I don't want to tire Springtrap out.

"So, Springtrap. I don't know why I can't remember you or anything that happened in the last 2 days, but i'm sure we were good friends." I replied with a soft smile.

"..."

"It's 4th of July today so i'm guessing there is going to be a lot of fireworks. Usually the others stay inside while I watch the fireworks on tbe roof of the pizzeria, but maybe...y'kno-"

"Don't you usually run faster?" Springtrap finally responded completely ignoring my favor. "Y-yeah, I just don't want you to-"

"Don't worry about me, i'll catch up at some point" he said as I hesitated to run faster, but eventually I did.

Today was 4th of July. The reason why I thought my request as a favor is because i'm always sitting on the roof watching the fireworks explode in the sky, but down below I see families laughing and playing with fireworks.

I kinda wished I had that same experience, but...I don't think I will. I snapped out of my own thoughts and looked behind me. I could barely see Springtrap in the distance but I could see he was tired, exhausted even.

He became more and more sluggish as he was starting to become a little tipsy...
Even I was sweating a bit and he was wearing a whole hoodie...
...
Oh shit!

I quickly started to sprint towards him knowing what was about to happen.
He noticed I was running closer to him and he had a look of confusion while his eyelids began to close.

Just as expected, he passed out but I was suprisingly able to catch him before he fell on the floor. His body was pretty light to me and I was able to carry him to a nearby tree. Why does this feel somewhat familiar somehow...

Springtrap passed out due to heat exhaustion, but why did he wear a hoodie with summer weather like this...

I quickly took off his hoodie and dampened it with some cold water that I had as I placed the wet part on his face to help him cool down.

While he was lied down, I tried to get him as cool as possible until he wakes up so I could give him some water. Honestly, I was a little mad at him for being this stupid and having himself get into such a bad condition.

I let him lie there while I sat next to him under the shade. I don't know why he would do this...it's like he wanted to make this happen. But why?

I felt some guilt for leaving him behind...
If I just never left him alone then he wouldn't have passed out and be like this. I should have known something like this would happen...

"Nghh..." I heard a groan come from next to me as I saw Springtrap start to wake up.
"Spring! You're awake!", I said excitedly not knowing why I was happy to see him ok, but seeing someone be ok is normal so I brushed it off.

Springtrap's Pov:

I groaned waking up as I felt something cold on top of me as I now saw it was my hoodie but really wet for some reason.
"Spring! You're awake!" I heard a familiar bear's voice yell as be hugged me.

"Ahh! Fredbear stop!" I said as he quickly let go of me. "Sorry, I was just worried..." he said mumbling a bit. "No need I just passed out, nothing too serious" I brushed it off as Fredbear seemed a little angry now.

"Nothing too serious?! You passed out from heat exhaustion! Who knows what could've happened if I never noticed you back there" he yelled which felt deserved but I had a massive headache.

"Tone it down will ya? My head hurts" I groaned to which he prompted me to drink from the water bottle in his hand. "That's because you haven't drunken any water. Here." he said but as thirsty as I was, I refused shaking my head.

"I'm not asking you. I'm telling you." he said in a completely different mood to which I quickly grabbed the water. I started taking small sips of the water before giving it back to Fredbear.

Me and Fredbear stayed under that tree for who knows how long, but we ended up both sleeping under the shade of the tree after I started to fell better.

I felt bad for making Fredbear worry about me. To be honest, it was stupid of me for trying to do something I knew I wasn't capable of doing and ended up almost doing something that could have been fatal.

I slowly woke up to someone nudging me on the shoulder as I groaned. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that the lake near the park was reflecting the orange and pink sunset.

It was a really nice view and I looked at Fredbear who was on my left was also looking at it before looking at me with a smile. I couldn't resist his smile and I smiled back at him.

"We should probably get back to the pizzeria, huh?" Fredbear asked as he looked at the time. I nodded before realizing what I had to do. "Oh wait! You go back to the pizzeria, I have to stop by somewhere first, ok?" I said and he was a little concerned.

"Don't worry, i'm not going to do anything, just trust me ok?" I said and he hesitated.
"Ok...I guess." he said which sounded like he didn't really trust me...

"Fine, i'll see you back at the pizzeria!" I said before running off as Fredbear took my hoodie and walked back to the pizzeria.

Fredbear's Pov:

Finally making it back to the restaurant, the sun was beggining to set and the sky went from it's orange and pink color to a light pink and darkish blue. Walking in, I saw that everything was good and nothing was a mess. Honestly that nap at the park was really nice.

I don't know if it was because I got to spend it with Springtrap or because I was tired from all the work. I went to the kitchen to see that there was a note on the table.

Me and Freddy made some pizza for ye and Springtrap to eat while I and the gang go out to the bar and get some booze.

I chuckled reading the last part. Realizing that me and Springtrap haven't eaten all day, I didn't hesitate in grabbing a few pizza slices, putting them on a plate, and taking it with me to the roof.

Just as I made it to the roof, I saw that the first fireworks were being lighten up for the night. Just like every year, I get to see the fireworks and the other families having fun.
Like always...

I finished my pizza slices and just sat there looking up at the fireworks. Though, I suddenly heard someone coming up to the roof and I turned around to see Springtrap!

"Oh! Springtrap! Didn't expect you to come see the fireworks with me" I said suprised that he had come up here. "Why wouldn't I?" He asked sitting down next to me as he had a few pizza slices of his own.

"Well, it's just that before..." I said recalling to what happened earlier today on our run.
"Heh, sorry about that. I wasn't myself for a second there and i'm usually not a morning person" he chuckled scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh ok. Anyways glad I get to enjoy the fireworks with someone else this year!" I said as Springtrap both looked at the sky.
Maybe this year wouldn't be so bad.

As the last of the fireworks were set off, I saw as the sky once filled with beautiful colors now faded to black as the multiple fireworks now were just only a few sparks in the sky that had faded.

"Wow. That was amazing." I said happy that I got to enjoy it with someone this year...

"The fun's not over yet!" Springtrap said as he got up and went back downstairs. I was a little curious by what he meant by that. I heard footsteps coming back upstairs as I now saw what he had.

He suddenly pulled out a bag with a bunch of fireworks inside. "The fun has just started!" he said grabbing my hand and taking me downstairs and outside the pizzeria.

Something about him grabbing my hand made my face begin to heat up. Am I blushing?...

Taking me outside, he pulled out a firework and told me to light it. I put the firework on the ground and lit it up before coming back to Springtrap as we were a safe distance away.

"See? Told you that you could trust me." he said smiling at me. "Yeah, I guess I could trust you." I said giving him a warm smile.

Suddenly, right as the firework exploded, I started to...

Springtrap's Pov:

I looked up at the sky and saw as the firework that Fredbear lit bursted in the sky as yellow and green sparks shined in the sky.
I looked back at Fredbear who had been staring at me for who knows how long.
"What are you staring at big guy?" I asked and he seemed to finally notice.

"Huh? Oh! Nothing. These fireworks aren't going to light themselves!" he said grabbing another and lighting them up.

"Springtrap?" Fredbear asked.
"Hm?" I said looking at him.
"Thanks for today. It's been really fun today spending the way with you..." he said as we continued to light up fireworks.

"I'm glad Fredbear...I really am." I said genuinely. Maybe I can tell him one day, maybe one day....

Well wasn't that a wholesome chapter if you push the Springtrap almost dying due to heat exhaustion thing aside.
