Her protector and her comforter (1)
Genre : Romance/Polyamory
It feels like high school over again but this time, this time she had no clue as to why the whispers and sneers were directed at her. She kept seeing a few of her co-workers and she used that term loosely, checking their phones when she returned from lunch. These were the ladies who always had a snide remark to give her.
Ignoring their childish behavior she made her way to a fellow manager's office with her handbag in tow. It was the beginning of her vacation and she needed a few things for her already-packed suitcase. The thought of feeling the burning island sun on her skin and the smell of saltwater brought a smile to her face. Two weeks vacation in her mother's home island.
Knocking firmly on the closed door and entering upon the welcome, she didn't realize that she had that giddy smile on her face till it was pointed out by the office occupant.
"I haven't seen that smile in years. Can it be something besides the vacation?"
Natasha rolled her eyes playfully by the jest Bash sent her way. Working at Carlson Security Inc as an Operation Manager, she was considered one of the hierarchies in the private company. Bash was the Finance Manager, so their interactions can be deemed friendly to everyone including themselves. Since she was hired six years ago, their friendship bloomed overnight after one meeting.
"Nope, just vacation. I brought the reports for the last job Bane took. Much wasn't needed to be done since he basically had everything in order, the other reports were the ones I had to clean up," she returned placing the folder in his outstretched hand.
"Thanks, Tash. Where are you headed now? I expected this to be sent to me not delivered personally, not that I'm complaining."
"Stop that you, no flirty smiles."
Bash laughed at her mocking glare, taking his time to fully check her out in his own way. Her brown skin always glowed, radiating her beauty ten times more. She was a sweet temptation he will love to feast on as his guilty pleasure. Her eyes were dark as coals but that didn't hide the glimmer of every emotion she fails to hide from the world. He thought he was one of the lucky ones who see the real her from time to time. Her body wasn't society standards and he loved that. During their playful moments, he liked to hold her close to feel her soft body against his, and have his arms around her soft stomach. She hated it, he simply admonishes her when she puts herself down.
"Fine. You got everything handled? Need anything to be done? Don't be afraid to ask favors, Tash. Bane and I are at your beck and call," he said. It wasn't by mistake that he allowed her to hear how serious he was by the request. He will do anything for her.
"I know, B. You already used up your lunch hour to buy me a new set of luggage which you still haven't taken payment for. You even helped in the finance aspect of things which I completely forgot. The amount of US you converted for me was a lot though. Then there's Bane. My home is now part of the safest place in the country. You two spoil me enough and that's causing some tongues to wag," she relayed to him. Bash joined her on the other side of his desk and sat in the chair next to her which she just took. He wanted to shout to the skies what he has been holding in for the last five years but was scared that their friendship will fade. Natasha was not one to step out on her other half. She was respectful, loyal and so damn trustworthy to the idiot lawyer she has been seeing since she started working for the company. Bash met the guy over the years and every meeting, his dislike for the douche grew. The last time they met, his fist connected with the guy's nose.
His sweet Natasha accepted the lies the man spewed about his injury, her eyes showing the love she had for him, Bane kept to himself the specifics of the real story so she can be happy. That's all that matters. Her happiness.
"B? Are you okay?" Her soft melodic voice cut through his argument with himself, earning her a smile from him.
"I'm fine, Tash. We care about you, that's why we will do anything for you. Those who talk about our friendship in a demeaning way are simply jealous. Okay?" he answered taking her hand in his.
Natasha found her body relaxing by the warmth of Bash's large hand. As always, his words smooth her nerves and put her mind at ease. Even when she's internally rambling about things that were troubling her, his teasing and conversations simply soothe her. She was about to respond to him when his office door was slammed open with the person voicing a very amusing statement.
"She fucking left without saying goodbye. When I get my hands on....."
"I'm not leaving for good, Bane," Natasha said with a laugh.
"Tash," he breathed out. Bash chuckled at his 'twin's' rare moment of being caught off guard and wasn't surprised when he stalked towards the woman who ruled them mind, body, and soul.
"I was about to leave to do some last-minute shopping. What are you doing here? You have a bodyguard gig to attend to."
"Three hours," he simply said.
Nodding, she understood his simple answer. His welcoming outburst had the most words he ever said out loud. Still holding Bash's hand she got to her feet, her eyes never leaving Bane's stormy blue ones. "We'll walk you down to your car. Bane?" Bash said carefully. The 'twin' gave his brother a quick glance before swinging the backpack she now noticed from his shoulder to the chair that's now free. He dug into it until he produced a handcrafted wooden box with her name engraved on it.
"For you," Bane said gruffly.
Natasha's eyes widen when she saw a tinge of red on his scruffy face, glancing Bash's way when he too spotted it. Gingerly, she took it from his work-roughened hand and opened it with her now free hand from Bash's hold. The brothers stepped closer not wanting to miss anything as she opened their gift. Each part was done and chosen with her in thought, she was never far away from their minds.
Opening the lid, she released a shaky breath when the gold necklace came to view on the bed of brown satin cushion. Gently she took the delicate jewelry into her hand, eyeing the gold stars on either side of the dangling diamond-crusted crescent-shaped moon.
"Boys, I..."
On impulse, Bash crashed his lips against hers to stop the protest that was forming on her lips. He wanted her to accept their gift in hopes she will see what they have trying to say for years. Her surprised gasp came twice when he kissed her and his brother pulling her against his chest. "Please accept it," Bane whispered against her neck as his brother successfully won her over with his kiss. Her soft lips became pliant and moved with Bash's which pleased and surprised the heck out of him. Her unique taste went beyond his fantasies, what made it sweeter was her return. She wasn't pulling away as he expected, his Tash was giving her all in their first kiss.
"Say yes, angel," Bash said against her lips.
"Yes."
Pulling away from her, he watched on as the emotions played across her face, unconsciously burrowing her body more into Bane's large body. "I'm not sorry for kissing you. I've wanted to do that for ages but I... we weren't going to accept a refusal of this gift. It's for you and only you. A gift of our friendship and our adoration of you. It's a lot to take in but we can talk more when you return from vacation," Bash said.
"No shutting us out. Call or text as usual," Bane said against her neck.
"I promise. Thank you for this," she said this time with a genuine smile. Her head was reeling. Bash kissed her and Bane was still holding her like the most beautiful woman in the world. She wanted to act on the silly crush she had on both men with their premature confession of having feelings for her but she was conflicted. She had a boyfriend who she loves.... or is it loved? Lately, something has been off between them but was too busy to be the perfect Susie homemaker for him, the type of woman he wanted. Her heart has been trying to tell her something for a while now but her mind has been in ruling for a very long time.
"Need help?"
Bane's gentle voice sent shivers through her body as his hand covered hers with the necklace still clutched tightly in her hand. "Please," she answered softly. Bash came to her side and gathered her natural kinky curls in his large hand and removed the jewelry, passing it to his brother. Bane placed a kiss on her bare neck before hooking the clasp, his fingers brushed the sensitive part of her neck, causing her to shudder against him. Having her for themselves for these few minutes was heaven-sent, their small moments were treasured greatly.
"It's a lot to take in. Two of us have feelings for you but please know we're not demanding that you become single immediately. We want you to know that you're gorgeous beyond doubt and the only woman who has our blood blazing. Enjoy your vacation knowing we're waiting at home for you. Our beautiful Natasha," Bane said, giving her a tight hug. She chuckled, teasing him on his uncharacteristic behavior. He wasn't a talker, only grunts and one-worded answers the staff at the company usually get. In the privacy of her office, he was a bit more talkative with her leading the conversation.
Bash was proud of his big brother, the woman in his arms created miracles and he was forevermore grateful to her. "Let's go, sweetheart," he voiced, breaking her out of the bubble Bane had her in.
Grabbing her bag, the younger brother led the way with his older brother sticking close to their future woman.
It can be years till they have her for themselves, they will wait dutifully for her.
**********
Natasha did her last-minute shopping in a daze, her mind on brothers Bane and Bash, months apart in age, they were recognized as twins most of the time due to their close relationship. When she was first introduced to Bash, it was two days later he brought his older brother to meet her. Off the bat, she understood Bane's quiet and shy demeanor, he was her big military-grade teddy bear. Bash was the outspoken jokester, always has her smiling and feeling safe, her rock. What happened in the office gave her a lot to think about. She did regret one thing though.
She didn't get to kiss her teddy bear, Bane.
Gathering the last item she needed, Natasha checked the time on her watch noting the time and made a dash for her car. She wanted to have a good long shower and not rush to the airport. Her car will be left in the pick-up area in the car park. Bash suggested that she left the car with them, Bane will pick it up after his gig since he will be working late. Thoughtful things they did for her over the years made her stop in the middle of the sidewalk, causing someone to bump into her. "Sorry," she muttered to the annoyed person when they shuffled past. Every little detail came at her like a movie, the brothers have been more than friends towards her in their own way and she was too naive and dedicated to Jackson to actually see it. The question now she had to answer.... what is she going to do with that knowledge?
Finally making it to her car, clarity struck her. Guilt was nowhere on her mind or in her heart, Jackson wasn't on her mind, lately, it felt like they were more of roommates than a couple. Their distance began when he degraded her body and began comparing her to his workmates' wives, even going as far as claiming she had more interest in working in a pity job than her image. Jackson changed the moment he made a partner at the law firm.
"I earned the position now I must look like I deserve it in all aspects of my life."
His comment cut her deeply but she hid it and dutifully smiled in agreement. When he spoke those words, her stepmother's crude remark of Jackson being the only man out there to accept her flaws was a Godsend. She went as far as to comment on the time frame of his commitment to her. Natasha shrugged it off believing in the long-term connection they both had but that nagging woman's intuition has been knocking on her mind's door rather insistently these days. Tucking her phone in her handbag, she made her way to her home with the thought of putting things in place for her happiness.
Arriving at her quaint two-bedroom house, she parked at the curb confused seeing Jackson's new car in the driveway. Natasha felt queasy, it was his working hours and yet he was at her home. Though he moved in three years, she still considered the house, her home.
"That's the intuition for ya," she mumbled, steeling herself for whatever she was about to face. Grabbing her handbag, she slowly made her way to the front door, noticing as she got closer that it was slightly ajar. Pushing it open slowly, she didn't have to go far to encounter evidence of what her intuition has been trying to tell her. Female shoes with sky-high heels, she can't ever wear haphazardly lay on the floor. Next to them were Jackson's familiar shoes, articles of clothing were next. Taking off her own shoes and placing her handbag below the end table, she quietly picked up each piece of clothing and made her way to the kitchen dumping them in the trash. Takeout was on the breakfast table along with a bottle of cheap red wine. "How classy," she mumbled. A loud shout of a woman climaxing came from the bedroom, the tears of betrayal and anger flowed down her face but Natasha didn't deter from her plan.
Walking softly over the hardwood floors she found Jackson's keys and chucked them out the still open front door along with the four framed photos of them. Pity. After so many years together those were the only memories she had on display. She felt stupid for hanging on to an already dying relationship. All she wanted was someone to be with her, support her, and love her.
'You have that but not with the right person or persons,' her inner diva quipped. Natasha swore she heard a giddy laugh after that statement.
Walking back to the little hallway that led to the rooms, she went to the hallway table that was a gift from Bane two years back, at the bottom of the drawer was a false bottom, it was accessible with a slight upward push allowing the bottom to open silently where the magnetized gun was hidden. Working in a security company like Carlson has its downfalls, self-defense was mandatory.
Grabbing the gun, Natasha made her way further down, where the couple was going for another round. Female giggles and Jackson's corny teasing reached her, wiping her tears and checking the gun clip, she easily stepped into her bedroom. Balls deep in a slender brunette was her boyfriend of six years, his head thrown back as he pounded his pencil dick into the woman who was one of the customer reps at Carlson Security Inc. They didn't notice her presence but the warning shot she sent to the ceiling gave her their undivided attention. Screams and shouts of fear and disbelief rang through the room as they tried to cover themselves up.
"Natasha, put that gun down. What the fuck are you doing?" Jackson shouted. He was angrier at her shooting the gun than the discovery of him cheating on her. Cocky bastard.
"Get out."
"It's not what you think..." he began.
Her dead stare was on him, slowly she aimed the gun at him. "Is it in a handbook for cheaters to start with that line? Do you think we lose brain cells when we find the man we're in a relationship with fucking another woman? How cliche are you? Get the fuck out before I shoot you and ya trade-in." Voice steady and void of any emotion threw the man off, the woman still cowering in the bed was whimpering in fear.
"We can talk about this, baby. This was just a fluke. I needed some attention baby. You've been working all the time and if you lost some weight..."
"Don't you dare bring your fucked up shit on my head. GET OUT! NOW!"
Her yell startled them both. The woman scrambled off the bed trying to wrap the sheet around her body. Jackson didn't make any motion to move. He folded his arms in defiance ready to be an ass. The woman was making her way past Natasha who stepped on the sheet, revealing her nakedness.
"I don't think you came here with fresh sheets," she told the brunette. Wide fearful eyes reached her, Natasha recognized the woman, it was one of her coworkers' niece. The little chit was a temp while one of their regular rep was out on maternity leave.
"Who are you trying to be, Natasha? Put down the gun and let's talk. You're gonna get hurt with that. This was a mistake. Are you really throwing me out of my home? Come on, let's talk. This was bad judgment, we can do counseling if you like. I'm sorry, baby," Jackson cooed, stepping closer to her. She moved her hand two inches from his head and fired another shot.
That sent him into survival mode. He fell to the floor, scurrying away from her and into the hallway, where he met his friend with a frantic look on her face. "My clothes. I can't find my clothes," the girl shrieked. Natasha followed them out to the living room where they began to search for their clothes, Jackson was screaming at her to tell them where they were, the woman was crying and begging forgiveness while trying to hide her nakedness. Looking out the wide front door, she can see one or two neighbors peeking at her house, probably curious about the gunshots.
Grabbing the house phone, she ordered the two to leave once more or she will call the cops. "Are you fucking crazy? We're naked. I can't be seen like this nor have the police involved. Think of my career," Jackson bellowed. Natasha simply shrugged her shoulders and motioned towards the door. He glanced between the gun and the woman cowering behind him, his eyes darted around the room probably looking for his keys. "My finger is about to press call. Get out of my house," she said steadily.
The calmness in her was unsettling to him but he had it to mind that she will simply cool down and beg him to come back in. Thinking fast about what he will do, he dashed out of the house with the woman following him.
Rolling her eyes, Natasha closed her front door, armed the security system then headed to the spare bedroom with the phone in her hand. The banging began on the back door and then the front, she knew he will try the windows but he always forgets that she keep them locked during the workweek. Tears escaped her after the rush seeped from her body, curled into a fetal position deaf to the world around her, she gave in to her sleep.
********
The jarring ring of the phone next to her woke her up. In a haze, she answered it.
"Hello?"
"Tash! Oh, thank fuck. Baby? Are you okay?" The person said over the phone. Their concern and relief affected her, when they spoke again she recognized Bash's voice through her still muggy mind.
"I was so stupid. He- he had her in my bed," she began to cry.
"Angel? I know you're hurting but I need you to come to the door. Come open the door before Bane breaks it down," he said softly and slowly.
"O-Okay."
Ending the call, she finally took note of her surroundings, the room was dark but red and blue lights were streaming through the curtains, flashing over and over. Coming off the bed, she stumbled around in the dark not caring for the lights. Knowing her home layout she walked down the hall and towards the living room, the cop car lights were brighter along making her squint in annoyance. Natasha unlocked the door without thinking, the alarm blared jolting her out of her daze. Large arms encircled her body, the scent of cologne reached her nose, she knew who it was instantly. "Bane," she croaked, burying her face into his large chest.
"I'll kill him," he said against her head, holding onto her tightly. The alarm came off then male voices at the door filtered in. Bane lifted her into his arms like she weighed nothing and moved them to the sofa. His care and comfort made her sobs audible, the afternoon's event came back to her.
It wasn't long before Bash joined them on the sofa. Knowing how fragile the mood was, he held her hand in his and soothingly caress her thigh. The brothers also took that time to calm down. Bane immediately began to panic when he didn't see her car at the airport pick-up and when she didn't answer her cell. Contacting Bash after, the brother rushed to her house only to find a dark home with the police talking to her neighbors. They've never been so scared in their life and both of them served in the armed forces.
Without warning, Bane got to his feet, clutching Natasha close to his body careful not to jostle her too much. Bash watched from the sofa as his quiet brother whispered to her while moving her body. His hands gripped her thick thighs and wrapped them around his waist, her arms slowly moved to go around his neck before she tucked her face in. "It's okay, sweetheart."
"Get her things from her car and whatever she may need from the house. We're going on vacation."
"I haven't had one of those since forever. Pops will be so happy. Hey angel, you need anything special here?" Bash asked jumping to his feet.
"Change the password to the house and throw his things out."
He placed a kiss on her head and allowed his brother to take her away from the house. She needed to gather herself and the brothers will always be there for her.
Outside by his truck, Bane carefully placed her in the front seat and buckled her in. Unable to resist it, he used the back of his fingers to feel how soft her skin was. The tips of fingers brushed the side of her mouth and in response, she opened her eyes whispering his name. "Yes," he returned, removing the space between them.
"Kiss me. Please."
"Sweetheart, I..."
"I felt it with Bash, let me confirm it with you. Please, Bane," she countered.
He would be lying if he said he didn't want to do it. His dreams were filled with him finally kissing her, holding her, being so close like this. Bane respected her relationship with the lawyer even when his brother relayed his encounter with the man. It was rare for both he and Bash to be attracted to the same woman, but they found no wrong or tinge of jealousy between them' when it comes to her.
"What did you feel?" he asked, wiping away the tears from her cheeks.
"Genuine want. His attraction and care for me."
Her answer was soft but he heard what she tried to make him understand. She was still shocked by the revelation that his brother wanted her with no false pretenses. That said a lot. Didn't she have that feeling for her boyfriend? Did she know Jackson was two-timing her before today?
"And you want to know if it's the same for me," he adds for her.
"Yes."
"Sweetheart, I wanted you from the moment I laid eyes on you," he said with a deep chuckle. Natasha didn't have time to reply, Bane crashed his lips against hers and she felt it at first touch. She felt what his brother portrayed to her earlier in the day. A soft whimper escaped her when he desperately pulled her against his body, wrapping her legs around his waist to spin and take her seat. Natasha was now straddling him in a full make-out session. She couldn't believe it. For six years, her close friends were harboring all these feelings for her when she wanted all of this from Jackson. Before she can understand what was happening, a loud sob escaped her. Bane moved his lips from hers and simply held her. Her hold on him tightened as she cried for being so naive, for the betrayal, and for giving time and energy into a relationship in which she was clearly being used.
The sound of the car door being closed then the opening and closing of another within seconds told her Bash entered the vehicle.
"Angel? Mrs. Cena said she will look after your house with the original plan. I gave her the new password and our contacts. We'll take care of you, don't worry." Bash's words were soft as was his touch to her cheek and head.
"I wasted so much time. At the same time I was scared", she sobbed.
"It's alright," Bane said softly.
His brother watched as he pushed the seat back and reclined it, making a temporary bed for the two of them before giving him a nod to go ahead. Bane's frame was large and for him to be in an uncomfortable position, it was worth the long drive because the woman he loved was within reach.
********
Soft kisses along her cheeks, jaw, and lips woke Natasha up from one of the best sleep she ever had. Opening her eyes, she was met with a smile she secretly loved for years and mischievous blue eyes. "Bash."
"We're here."
It took a moment for her to get her bearings straight. She was confused as to how she reached into the backseat, lying on him with a blanket over them both.
"We switched on our way up the mountain." Bane's voice startled her. She turned too quickly to get a good grasp of her position, and accidentally her hand connected to a part of Bash he didn't want her to notice nor bruise with a force he didn't expect. His yell of pain startled her even more, stars filled his head with the pain resonating from his crotch. Bane was trying his hardest not to laugh and Natasha was panicking to the fullest.
"Tash. Baby. Touch me one more time and it will get worse," he said through painful pants. She was confused as to why that will happen when it clicked.
"Oh. Ohhhhh. Sorry," she said with a burning face. "I.. uh... yeah..."
Bane helped her out of the truck and then pulled her away from his brother who just slipped between the seats still moaning in pain. "Bane! Get the ice so she can tend to me!" he shouted.
"I think the fuck not," Bane returned.
"Jealous bitch!"
Natasha couldn't hold back the laugh bubbling in her throat which only made Bane huff in playful annoyance before he threw her over his shoulder. "BANE!" Her shriek was filled with laughter and shock. Amusement filled her, even more, when he smacked her ass and gave her thigh a soft bite.
"Enough you," he grumbled.
He unlocked the door to the house and carefully carried her in, stopping at the sunken living room. Placing her gently on her feet, he nervously waited for her to finish her short exploration. "This is the house you two bought together and Bash wanted all modern fitting but you wanted traditional," she commented.
"But you decided it all for us." This came from Bash who just walked in bow-legged.
"Wait. This is the result of the little decisions I made?"
"Yup and I sort of put some of your styles in it. Do you like it?" Bane asked. As always he spoke gently to her which made him sound vulnerable at the time. Natasha took another look around the sunken living room and the view of the open kitchen. Large windows showed the view of the valley below them and the mountains on either side. The mixture of tradition and modernity was done between the floors and furniture, the decor had its own charm even the little feminine touches of paintings and sofa cushions.
"I want to see more. I love it you guys," she said making her way up the little stairs and into the hallway that leads to the ground floor staircase and rooms.
"I'll show her around. Lunch?" Bash said following her.
"Sure. I'll unload the truck. Get her to take a bath or use the jacuzzi. Her excitement will wane soo," Bane agreed with his eyes in the direction Natasha left.
"You're right."
Bane silently made it his duty to make this vacation perfect for her.
*******
It was all so beautiful.
The fourth day into her vacation with the Carlson brothers was so unrealistic. Each day was something new she was introduced to and the eye-opening moments when their true feelings were shown. Sitting on the rooftop balcony with a nice fire in the stone pit warming her back, Natasha looked out into the darkness and found her mind and heart clearing. The hurt of Jackson's infidelity turned out to be a minor issue. As the guys said, it was her tampered intuition helping her to heal and move on faster than others. She did have that lingering doubt that Jackson was messing around but her loyalty to him was so strong. She believed in so much within a relationship. The guy had his moments and it was those little things that kept her there. Bash told her the truth about his encounter with the guy which only helped her doubts be true. He was becoming a roommate to her unconsciously over the years. Work and a good lifestyle were her focus back then, giving as much attention to her relationship.
Touching the necklace given to her by the brothers, she smiled. "You're one lucky girl, Tash," she said aloud with a slight chuckle. She had to admit, her doors are opening and closing at a rapid pace. Maybe her guardian is helping to push things along. "Two men. Two handsome, lovable men want me," she said to herself.
Her closest friends. Heck, best friends because they are more in her life than others. That's a good base to start a relationship on, a friendship.
What would people think about her being...
"Stop it, Tash," she admonished herself.
Getting to her feet, she grabbed the glass of wine that was sitting on the end table and mindlessly began to walk around the balcony, lost in thought. She had the decision to make. It was her life after all.
"Sweetheart?"
The gentle calling of her new pet name stopped her thinking pace. Turning to the owner of the voice she couldn't help but join her inner diva in having a female appreciation moment. Bane stood at the now-open sliding glass doors with a small smile on his face. Dressed in a pair of worn jeans, a cream sweater that was causing her mind to fritz, and a pair of the silly socks she usually gives him on their anniversary. Yep, Bash dubbed the day they all met their anniversary. He trimmed his beard this morning and neaten the undercut of his hair. His hair grew out a bit on top but it looked like he didn't mind. Bane was a large man not only in muscular weight but height. Countless times she witnessed women being both intimidated and curious of his size. Overall, he was a gem.
"Yeah?"
"Dinner's ready."
Walking towards him, she got close enough that she can rest her chin on his chest and look him deep in the eye. The small smile was still on his lips even when his blue eyes had gotten softer. Gently he caressed her cheek, before tipping her head upwards to place a slow kiss on her lips. She tiptoed to get more of him, he chuckled at her effort and grabbed under her thighs to place her on his waist.
Both brothers took to coddling her. She hardly walked these past four days and has been in their laps constantly. Spoiling her came naturally to them.
Holding the wine glass tightly, she gave more into the kiss as he walked to the dining table. This area, along with the sectional was the only section that was closed off by glass doors. The dining was always spectacular with the view and ambiance. She loved how uniquely designed the house was. "Tash," he whispered harshly against her lips.
"Yeah? What's wrong?"
Bane groaned in frustration and roughly thrust his hips forward to give her his answer. "Wow," she replied to his silent answer.
"I'm so close to stripping you bare and having you on your hands and knees as I fuck you hard. You want that, sweetheart? " he asked, biting her lips. Natasha moaned when she willfully moved against the prominent bulge in his jeans.
"Yes. I want that. I want both of you."
Bane reared back and looked at her. "Baby? Are you sure?"
"Yes. It's my decision. All relationships and decisions are mines to make not the world's," she answered.
"Hey, you two, what's up? Bane, what's wrong? Come on dinner will get cold." Bash's entrance didn't falter the pivotal moment that was happening. Sliding down his body, Natasha stepped away, keeping her eyes on him. The shock led way to happiness.
"Tash..."
"You know when I'm serious, Bane," she quipped while taking her seat at the head of the table. The brothers took their own seats on either side of the table and worked together to plate her food.
"What's going on? Bane, you are very animated," Bash commented when they plated their own meals.
"You will be after you hear Tash's news," Bane commented.
"Really? What is it, angel?"
Natasha mischievously ignored him and decided to pay more attention to her dinner than the younger Carlson brother. His blue eyes were identical to his older brother and with his blonde hair, he was very attractive. A fit body, angular face, and good standing with people made him a very high-in-demand bachelor. You may think he was a man-whore but Bash's nights were spent alongside his brother watching a movie or game or sleepovers at his folks' place. Within six years, she only saw him with two women who ended up pissing him off for some reason.
"Tash. What is it? I don't like it when you keep things from me," he whined.
"Oh fine. I was thinking about a lot of random stuff then out of the blue a decision was made and a question was formed," she said propping her chin on her hand. Her dark eyes were dancing with mischief. Bane grinned and continued to eat but Bash wasn't having it. He was pouting and playing with his food like a petulant child. He might as well be. His playful side always comes out around Natasha.
"The question is pretty important though. When things are decided it snowballs into a lot of situations. So what I want to know is this. I do want to get married someday, so who am I signing my name with on that day? You Bane? or will it be Bash?"
The clattering of silverware against the china filled the air. "M-marriage? Angel, are you saying what I think you're saying?" Bash asked rushing to her side. He turned her chair to face him and knelt before her. "Natasha, don't play with my emotions. I love you, do you understand that? You're my best friend and I love you. I need you in my life. Are you truly saying that you want to be with us?"
"Bachelor Sebastian "Bash" Carlson is officially off the market. Imagine the tabloids when they catch wind of his decorated Army vet older brother Bannister "Bane" Carlson is also off the market. Two high-profile bachelors have been taken by one woman. Scandalous."
Bane's laughter and Bash's shout of joy mingled together as the younger brother plucked her from her seat and excitedly spun her around.
"Oh Angel, you've made us so happy. Thank you for giving us a chance. We promise to love you unconditionally and to keep this smile on your face. Thank you," Bash said wholeheartedly. Giving in to the kiss he placed on her lips, she grinned when she felt Bane's large body cover hers from the back.
"We love you, Natasha." "Undoubtedly so."
"I'm one lucky woman."
