Sapphire was coming home one day from work and the doctor's office, excited to greet Nekomai and Zane as she had great news to share.

She had earbuds in her ears as she crossed a street, not hearing the screams,

The yells,

The honks.

Or the screeching of tires as she had been impacted heavily by a car that was speeding too fast.

Causing her to be thrown across the street, her body taking alot of damage, Broken bones, gashes, scratches, cuts.

She laid on the hot pavement as blood seeped out of her gashes and wounds while someone called the cops and an ambulance. Her wounds were getting infected from the dirt, glass and germs on the concrete.

The man who was driving the car was arrested for drunk driving and driving without a licenses.

The ambulance soon came and drove her straight to the hospital quickly as a doctor take a blood sample to look up her relatives, loved ones and her medical files.

Once Sapp was in her hospital room, she was hooked up to many machines to save her life.

The doctor called Zane Ro'Meave and Nekomai Ro'Meave, telling them to hurry to said hospital.

Once they got there, The doctor explained everything.

And the once great news.

Sapphire was two months pregnant with Zara, ready to tell her lovers with excitement of their reactions, but.. Zara was killed in the crash. The two were devastated, crying as they held onto each other.

They had lost their unborn child to a ignorant driver, and possibly their beloved wife.

Zane was first to enter Sapp's room, and almost punched a wall at what happened to her,

To his wife,

His best friend,

His first friend.

Nekomai was next, her tail, ears and face faded of color as her eyes met her wife's closed ones.

Sapphire looked peaceful.. Or as peaceful as you can get from being hit by a fucking car.

She had casts, cuts and gashes that would turn into more scars. Her leg was broken along with her arm, her skull was almost cracked as her ears and tail. They were cut up by nothing more. A long cut is over the bridge of her nose and left cheek, her once dark chocolate skin was paler, as her heartbeat was steady.

Oh, Were Zane and Nekomai thankful for that. They knew she make it through this.

During Sapp's, one and a half long coma, she woke up. Her eyes stinged as the bright lights hurt her eyes, she tried looking around to find Shadow.

Shadow had taken watch that night, he was asleep on her lap as his cheeks were stained with tears, his ears and tail were out, something Sapp loved to see, his nose and eyebags were red as he had been sobbing.

Sapp slowly and carefully put her none broken hand on his head, smiling softly down at her son. Shadow felt this and instantly woke up, looking at his mother. Oh, his face, his expression. She giggled her pain away at his shocked and happy expression. He wanted to hug her tightly but controlled himself as he grabbed her hand, and started crying infront of her. Yes crying, that once asshole, rude and smug outer layer as gone as he bawled infront of his mother.

Sapp almost laughed at how fast he pulled out his phone and sobbing to Nekomai at how Sapphire woke up. And in a couple of minutes, her whole family was in the room.

Crying, sobbing and laughing happily at Sapphire. The first hug came from Mira, Then Ruby. Next was Lucian, and Shadow hugged her as well, he couldn't stop crying though.

The last two were from both Zane and Nekomai, crying onto her shoulders as she hugged them happily.

Though before their warm, gentle and loving hug. Sapp had smiled so happily at the two.

Yes, They were all very devastated at Zara's quick death. But that didn't stop them from being a complete family of love, joy, anger and sadness.
