Today's message is a hard one because it is about something that we don't like to talk about.  It is the salad greens we have left in the fridge too long so the have become brown and sort of rotten or the bread left on the counter too long that has begun to show green mold.  Today's message is about things we have neglected until they are spoiled and beyond the hope of salvation. 

We have all been there, the fridge that we need to clean out,but we have put it off and not paid attention, so we have a bunch of spoiled milk and yogurt that has gone bad.  And the only remedy is to roll up our sleeves,  throw out all the decayed food, grab a rag wash down the insides of our fridge and return it to its pristine condition and start over.  

KU tells us that we have allowed something in our life to wait past its expiration date, it is time to take action, throw it out and allow space for new.  Another image is the plant with some brown leaves, and you need to cut away what is dead to allow for new growth so the plant can continue to flourish. 

When we are facing KU we need to have patience, pruning away the dead things that no longer serve is a difficult and challenging task and sometimes it takes longer than expected to return to a healthy growth filled situation.  But don't shy away from the work, move with patience and a vision of what can be when the job is done so you sustain yourself through the difficult work.  

Everyone deserves a clean fridge even if getting there is disgusting work!

It is time to focus on your principles and goals rather than following someone else's agenda.  

Sometimes you may need to step back from obligations to others and take time to deal with those things that are personal and affect you. 

It is time to follow your own path and walk it with integrity.

And finally maybe after "the fridge" is cleaned it is time to find something new to do - time to move one.
