TBC: Chapter Twenty One

Dr. Nicca James Alfarone

Mikhail looked at me with a tinge of annoyance as if he had just got done being pestered by a fly. He didn't look as annoyed as I would've thought because he had a look on his face similar to the look he gave me: fondness. He walked over to the door, looking back at me. "I'll go and solve this right quick." He said. "Why is she here right now? Don't tell it's time." He muttered something in Russian but it was clear as water that he didn't realize that with the bond came the ability to decipher everything he was saying. I couldn't tell if he was nervous about something or what. Sweat began to form at the start his hairline as I noticed that his fingers were shaking slightly. It appeared to me that he wasn't nervous about something but dreading it, like he was trying to push something back. His eyes traveled my naked body as he licked his lips, trying to distract himself from whatever or whoever it was that was in my house.

"Be careful sitting up." Mikhail warned with a stern look as he looked at me with those cold, hazel that I seemed to fall in love with every time I stared into them. Those cold eyes, those beautiful eyes that seemed to hold something deep in them. I sat up, ignoring the forming pain in my ass as I looked at my man. Why was a woman coming to my house at all types of night just to see him? Now, I didn't know whether she was his lover or someone that just happened to find my address. "My Nicca, it isn't anything like that. Trust me, she has tried but it's not going to happen." He chuckled softly, his eyes dimming low. It was like he knew this girl like the back of his hand and I was just "MIKHAIL, WHERE ARE YOU?" The woman's voice trailed throughout the house and I hissed at her shrilly voice. "Ugh." He rolled his eyes, stretching his tall stature before he turned back to the door. "I'll be right back." And within seconds, he was gone and it felt like a part of me was taken along with him. I didn't know what he was going to do but I had a feeling he was going to be long but it hurt to move just a little bit.

Within the amount of time we spent making love in this very bed, I realized that I felt like I had known Mikhail for forever. When he bit down in the space in my neck, I felt a rush of euphoria and it was if many bubbles and many pieces of Mikhail's life and his memories flew into my mind, like they became my own. I had gotten to see what he was like as a kid and every single microscopic thing was pieced into my brain, something that would always be there. I sighed as I looked at the many bruises that plagued my body. His hand print were identical on both sides of my hips and it didn't look like it was going anywhere. His lips caressed my body

"Well, I guess it would be nice if I could touch your body and I know everybody has got a body like you..." I closed my eyes and bit my lip, remembering every single thing Mikhail did to me. He ravished me like a man who was starved of his favorite food. I remember screaming and digging my nails so deep and so far into his back, I was sure they would leave several scars but I didn't see any. He made me feel so good and I wanted to be pounded into this very bed again just like he did hours ago. I had never been made love to like that ever in my life. It was the best feeling and I felt like I was on cloud nine. It was official, Mikhail Nikarovich Baranov was my addiction and there was no rehab for me to get over him. I got up and I made my way after him, wondering what was going on.

Nichelle Wright. When I laid my eyes on her very powerful stature, I was taken away with how beautiful she was. Her long, brown tinged with the slightest gold that trailed down her back, her tanned olive skin that seemed so radiant even in the light of the moon, her light brown eyes that twinkled in happiness when she landed them on Mikhail's approaching figure, her lithe body fitting against his in the perfect mold as she hugged him tightly, her head reaching his shoulders. She was beautiful and I was a little upset with how well Mikhail knew her. "Misha! I missed you!" She kissed his cheek softly before pulling away and I scowled heavily, wondering why her paws were on my man. He was mine. He was my mate and we had established some sort of mate bond, at least that's what I thought.

"Aw, Nichelle." Mikhail squeezed the girl tightly and I narrowed my eyes at him. What was this possessive feeling inside of me? It scared me because I had never felt this protective over someone or something like this. "I missed you too." I rolled my eyes in annoyance, folding my arms as I flared my nostrils. "Are we going to pretend that we don't see that little cutie standing behind you?" Nichelle teased and I fought the urge to stomp my foot like a childish little kid. "Heh." Mikhail chuckled before turning around to face me. "Aw, mate. No need to be jealous, love." I growled lowly and Mikhail let out a hearty laugh, walking over to me. He leaned down and placed a long kiss on my lips and I moaned at the contact of him. His scent wafted into my nostrils and he smelled so good, the same as he did earlier when he was fucking the soul out of me, the smell of cinnamon and sugar and his natural musk.

I was panting by the time he let my lips go. I whimpered, wanting more of him. I wanted his body on my mine. I wanted him inside of me. God, why was I so horny? "Love, control your urges before I take you against this wall." Mikhail muttered out in a husky voice, his voice taking on a low timbre enriched with his Russian accent and damn me, if it wasn't the sexiest thing I had ever heard. "Ah, classic Misha. Falling in love with your protege." I heard Nichelle's teasing voice behind us and I was wondering of their relationship. "Aren't you going to introduce me to your little mate?" She clicked her teeth and Mikhail pulled away from me, licking his lips in hunger. "Yeah. Nicca, meet the pain in my ass Ничел," He pointed to the woman standing behind him, a scowl on her face. "Nichelle Wright, meet my beautiful mate, Nicca Alfarone." He pushed me to the front of him with a fond look on his face. "Aw, you're so cute!" Nichelle walked over to me and pulled me in her arms, hugging me. "I'm so happy Misha finally found you! I feel sorry for you, having to deal with a pain in the ass like him." She rolled her eyes as a growl came from behind us. We chuckled in humor as she released me. She reminded me a lot of Jose. I really needed to patch things up with him.

"How do you know Mikhail?" I questioned, wondering how someone so pretty even knew someone like Mikhail. "We're in the same pack." She stated and I nodded, her eyes widening in surprise as she realized I knew about the wolves. "He's also my best friend." I nodded once again in response, feeling a little secure. "We have never dated if that's what you're thinking. I have a mate of my own so it's too bad Misha can't touch this!" She cackled and I smirked at her humorous nature, instantly liking her. "Ah, it's okay now because I'm here." I winked at her and she grinned. "Oh, Misha, you got your hands full, don't you?" She wiggled her eyebrows and I winced in pain as my ass began to throb.

"Why are you here, Nichelle?" Mikhail questioned, folding his arms. "As far as I'm concerned, today wasn't the day you were supposed to be coming." He groaned and Nichelle sighed. "You're right." She took a deep breath and she looked at him with dread in her eyes as if she and him were communicating without speaking.

Mikhail sighed softly, putting his head into his hands as he shook it back and forth, his frustrations being released into the bond we had. I could feel the tension in the room and it felt as if it was suffocating me. "What's wrong, Mikhail?" I reached up to him and he relaxed in my touch, groaning softly. "He has to go back to Russia to take over the throne as Alpha of the Blazing Rage pack." Nichelle muttered, looking at me with a look I couldn't distinguish. She looked like she wanted to kill me yet she wanted to hug me. "Huh?" I tilted my head, not understanding what she had to say. Go back to Russia? What for?  I snapped my neck to Mikhail, not understanding what this meant and as the shot of fear ran through our bond, his head jerked up, his eyes meeting mine. "That means I have to leave by tomorrow night." He stated, many emotions running through his colorful eyes.

He was leaving? Just when we finally got our feelings together? Just when we finally established the mate bond between us? But why? Would he come back? Was this the last time? "I can't ask you to come with me no matter how much I want you to." Mikhail took my hands in his, lifting my chin up to meet my watery eyes. I didn't know if this was a goodbye or see you later. Why couldn't he take me with him? It would've been tough for me to get out of all of the things I had to get done at work, but I would make time. What wasn't he telling me? I looked at Nichelle, who was pursing her lips sadly, looking at me with sadness in her eyes. She wasn't her on her own will, that was for sure. She was here on someone else's account and that's when it hit me. Right from the start, our time together was limited. He was my bodyguard and he was only here on a short amount of time. I had no idea what was in store for him back home in Russia and I had no idea what would become of us. But I didn't want him to leave me.

"But one thing's for sure, my Nicca." He nodded, a sad smile forming across his lips as he stared down at me, our emotions tugging on each other's through our bond. It felt as if thoughts of sadness and wanting were coursing through my mind and I realized that they weren't my thoughts, but his. He reached his hand up to caress my cheek, my brown eyes staring into his hazel ones, noticing that our emotions were mirrored in each other's eyes. "W-What?" I sputtered, willing myself not to let go and retain all calm that I had. When he uttered these next words, I tried so hard to find the truth that was underlying beneath them but I couldn't find a single, solitary thing and I knew he knew that. When he uttered those words, I felt my calm, zen aura around me breaking, smashing into pieces as it hit the ground. A tear fell out of my eye absentmindedly as he let my hands go, my heart feeling like it was breaking.

"I'll be back for you."

Something told me that his words didn't mean a thing.
