TBC: Chapter Twenty Nine

Dr. Nicca James Alfarone

"Are you sure about this, Nicca?" I turned to face my mate, the look of apprehension written all over his beautiful face. I turned to face him, hands on my hips. "If you ask me that again, we're not having sex for two months." I muttered, the faint blush coating my cheeks and he narrowed his eyes, a growl in his tone. "Don't threaten me with that, little mate." Mikhail hissed and I rolled my eyes. "Then stop asking me. We're already here, so what's the point in whining?" I shrugged, looking around the airport. "Where's Aleksandr?" I asked. "He said he would bring the rest of the pack here. He needs to hurry up. It's almost time for us to board our plane." I huffed in irritation, remembering that I told that man to be here at the airport at 9 sharp because the flight back to North Carolina was long as fuck and I was treading on light waters with the workers here because I needed the whole airplane for the entire pack.

"Ah, mate, успокойся." Mikhail wrapped his arms around me in aid to help calm me down, his soft tone making me lean into his warmth. "There's Aleksandr." He pointed and I followed the direction. "Oh shit." I muttered, watching how Aleksandr looked like a kindergarten teacher ushering his class to follow him. "He's having trouble, isn't he?" I sighed and I walked towards him. Aleksandr looked petrified at the large crowd of humans crowding around him. "Aye!" I said sharply and all heads snapped to me and they formed a line. "We need to be on the plane in less than 10 minutes. Do be very fast and mindful of the time." I handed everyone a form. "We are in gate 3B. I'll meet you all over there. Be safe, okay?" They nodded and shouted, 'Yes, Luna!' in unison.

I'll never be able to get used to this.

Before I met Mikhail, I was just some lonely guy waiting to find love. I had no idea who I was but that all changed when I met Mikhail. Sometimes, I think meeting Raymond was the best thing that could have ever happened to me because it led me to meeting Mikhail Baranov, the man who owns my heart. I let the pack go do their jobs while I turned to Mikhail, who seemed to be looking at his phone, deep in thought. Every dimple on his face, the glimmer of his crooked teeth, the adorable mole on his cheek, his bright hazel eyes, the way his voice sounded when he spoke in Russian.

"You're always on my mind..." I whispered out to no one in particular but judging by the soft smile that made its way onto his lips, I reckon he heard it. "также." Mikhail muttered to himself but since I was his mate, I heard every word he said and my heart swelled. He was always thinking of me too.

"Hi!" I turned my head to see a tall man with brown hair and brown eyes peering down at me, a small grin on his lips. I didn't seem to feel put off by him but I wasn't put on either. "Hi?" I raised a brow. "Do I know you?" I was a little wary of meeting new people, people that weren't mutual friends. "No! I just saw you standing here and so I wanted to make new friends." He shrugged. "I'm Isak Pratt." He held out a hand and I saw nothing but genuine friendship in his eyes. I took his hand warily. "I'm Nicca." I gave him that little information and he chuckled. "What an attractive name for an attractive person." He smiled gently, letting my hand go.

My eyes widened in amusement as I nodded. "Ah, thanks." I wasn't enamored by it because I knew I had someone waiting for me and judging by the sound he was making, this was no walk in the park. "Ah, thanks." I went to go walk away but then his hand latched around my wrist in a gentle manner. "I'm sorry-" He went to apologize but an intimidating growl shook the air. "Сними свои проклятые руки от моих!" I heard Mikhail long before I saw him. When I heard his deep voice roaring in that tinge of Russian, I turned to see him storming over to me, his eyes a pitch black as his jaw clenched, his fists in a hold as he took large strides, the look he gave promising death (Get your hands off what is mine).

"Oh, sorry man!" Isak put his hands up in surrender, watching Mikhail's thick arms pull me into his protective grasp. "I didn't realize that he was your boyfriend." He chuckled calmly, like he wasn't on the verge of death. Mikhail stared holes into his face and if he was a laser, Isak would be dust now. "It was nice meeting you, Nicca." He bid me farewell with the tip of his hat, his gentle features saluted by his twinkling brown eyes as he walked away from us. I was confused to say the least but I was alert by no means. Even after he was 20 feet away, Mikhail still stood tall and fierce. I could feel wrath pouring off of him in waves and it was drowning me. He was angry, of course, and it didn't help that the full moon was going to be out for another night. His wolf was on edge, obviously and his share of possessiveness was proof of that.

Mikhail glared after him, his nails protruding from their socket. "Ay, calm down Misha." He growled lowly, his stance full of tension and rage. I didn't know whether to feel sorry for Isak or aroused because when Mikhail was angry, he was the sexiest thing I had ever seen in all my twenty nine years of life. "You know him, Mikhail?" I tugged onto my man's bicep, pulling him back as we watched Isak's retreating figure. "No, that's the thing, Nicca." Mikhail turned to me, a look of confusion and anger wrapped all into one on his face. "I have never met that чувак in my life before," He grabbed my hand, peering into my eyes, concern etched in his.

"But he smelled strangely strong of Kaiden."

And that was the end of that conversation. While my hand was entangled with Mikhail's as we boarded the plan, having handed the woman our tickets, his revelation about Isak Pratt was still on my mind. I hadn't seen him at all before in my life and while it is normal for someone to walk up to you and talk to you, I didn't know how to feel about that encounter. I sat back in the chair, Mikhail next to me, rubbing my shoulders. Too many thoughts were roaming around in my mind, even as the pilot began to rise up into the air. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your pilot James Hunt speaking. Please fasten your seatbelts as we are preparing for take off to North Carolina. Our flight time will be of 11 hours and 43 minutes." He finished his statement and I looked around at everyone.

Jose was sitting across from me, Kaiden next to him as he sat deep in thought. Jose caught my eye, raising a brow towards Kaiden. For someone who was so close to him, he had no idea what was going through his mind. I shrugged, turning around to make sure that every pack member was content in their seat before snuggling into Mikhail's warmth, closing my eyes. It started to be a long time before I finally had a dream. "Come on, Mikhail! Can you handle this?" I licked my lip, looking into his gaze, feeling naked and bare to him. "What is it that you want from me, mate?" His voice dripped huskily as he flicked his eyes up and down my body, savoring the look. He took his lip under his teeth, his jaw clenched as he inhaled my arousal. "You smell so fucking divine, makes me want to fuck you until you can't walk no more." He growled out, his exotic voice full of Russian as I caressed his cheek. "Then why don't you? I've been waiting." I winked and he clicked his tongue.

"Because when I do," He tipped his head deeper, staring directly into my eyes. "I will fuck you like you've been wanting and then some. Your body will know every single shape of me and by the time I'm done with you, you'll be screaming for me to stop, so I suggest you tread lightly, Понимаю?" His lip twitched up into a smirk and my body raged with fire. "I love you, Mikhail." I puckered my lips up to his, ready to taste him. "Nicca,' He started but my eyes were closed and I was leaning in. "Nicca!" He said once again. "Nicca!"

I felt a soft tap on my thigh and I jolted awake, panting with every breath as I came face to face with my man. "Ты в порядке?" He peered into my face, worry in his eyes as I grabbed his hands, My cheeks were burning and I knew I had to have been blushing. "Yeah, I'm okay." I was dreaming about kissing him and I was sure he knew but judging by the look of concern he had, maybe that one thing was kept to myself. "Come on, mate. We can leave now." I stood up, noticing that everyone else must have got off of the plane. "Okay."

He took my hand and we exited the gate and I sighed, familiarizing myself with the scent of the former airport. "How long it's been..." I muttered, loving the sight that I came face to face with. "Ooh! Everyone is so pretty here!" Svetlana smiled brightly, taking in the appearance of people in the lobby. "This is so cool!" One of the pack children were looking at an advertisement for NASCAR and I smiled at the sight. "I have arranged for cars to come pick everyone up." Aleksandr came next to me and I nodded. "You've been of a big help." I grinned, squeezing Mikhail's hand. This was what it was like to a Luna, to care for others and their well being. I wouldn't have done this but since it was for Mikhail, I'd do anything. I went to go speak to him but my phone buzzed in my pocket, signalling that it was a text from my dear father.

Come home when you land.

I furrowed my eyebrows at the text from my father. I was assuming he wanted to talk about the initiation as heir to the throne and by all means, I had to do it. "My father wants to talk to us." Mikhail nodded like he had been informed of this before I was. "I know, Nicca." He started to walk, pulling me with him. "What's the address of the new pack house, my lovely Luna?" He placed a kiss on my forehead and I relished at the feeling of the sparks flying. "Um, it's 8604 Redmont Court." I pulled out the piece of paper that it was written on. "It's the only house on the street." I handed the paper to Aleksandr, who was just following us. "Make yourselves at home." He smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Luna."

I turned back to Mikhail. "So my sexy Alpha, shall we?" I raised a brow, pulling out my key fob. "My car is here." Mikhail licked those luscious lips of his, nodding to me and we headed out of the airport with our luggage, happiness in the air.

When I was driving down the familiar roads and paths, I found out that it only took about 10 minutes to get back to my house. Anxiety set in the pit of my stomach but I fought to not let it bother me. It was alright. "Are you ready, Nicca?" I heard Mikhail's voice and so I turned to him. "Yea, yea!" I waved a hand at him. "Just thinking." And it was true. I was thinking.

Thinking about how far I came in my life. Before I met Mikhail, I was so willing to do whatever it was that anyone asked of me. All I wanted was to find true love in that one person that I could trust and that want became so deep rooted inside of me, that I did whatever I could to find that love. It just went so far as for me to meet Raymond. That was probably the only bad decision I had ever made in my life but as far as the best decision, I was sitting next to him. I stepped out of my car, hand in hand with Mikhail as I locked it, preparing to hear what my father had to say.

"Mikhail's your mate and he's going to be the one you marry."

That was what Nicolai Alfarone II said as soon as I walked through the door of his office. "Huh?" I was taken aback as I sat down. "Y-you know!?" I sputtered and he nodded like it was a normal day to day occurrence.

"I knew it when I first met him." My father stated and my eyes widened as I sat back in my chair, deflated. "All I did was take one look at him and anyone could tell that he wasn't an ordinary person." Nicolai explained. "But it didn't deter me away from what I was looking for. I was looking for someone good enough to protect you Nicca, and he did that," My father smirked knowingly. "And then some." I was still trying to wrap my head around the fact that no one seemed to tell me of this news. "I also didn't tell you because it was such a new subject that I didn't know how you would react. That, and the fact that Mikhail didn't want me to tell you." I snapped my head towards the man of the hour, hurt on my face.

Mikhail sighed, grabbing my hand. "You've got to understand, I'm not from here, Nicca. If I would have told you, you probably wouldn't have acted so calmly and I can't risk you telling everyone that there's a wild animal on the loose." He smiled gently and I nodded, understanding his reasoning. "Only because you're my Alpha, that I'll forgive you this once." I narrowed my eyes. "So it is decided." My father announced and I raised a brow. "We will have your ceremony and the initiation on the same day." I tilted my head in confusion. "Ceremony for what?" Mikhail coughed a bit next to me, clearing his throat. "It is when the Alpha finds his mate and they have intercourse in the ballroom of the pack house on the night of a full moon to show that they have bonded fully as a whole." I sat there, staring at him plainly while my father chuckled, finding this amusement.

"That's...." I couldn't find anything to say so I turned back to my father. "June 3rd." He finalized the dates for us and it was all starting to come together. "I'll give you more information, son but I know you're ready for this." I nodded in reply, realizing that I was a grown man about to become the heir to Alfarone family. I had already knew what the initiation was going to be of because all my life, I had been preparing for it. I was going to take on my father's job as managing our family but one thing about this was still puzzling me.

Would Mikhail and I ever have a family? I knew from looking through his life, he wanted at least two pups but since I was a male, how would that even happen? I let out a soft sigh, wondering what to do now. "I'm going to get me some food so I'll be right back." I heard my father say something but I was too conflicted by my thoughts. "Не переживай дружище." Mikhail said, catching wind of my mind. "Who's to say we can't have children because we're two men?" He chuckled. "There's always a willing female who would do surrogacy." Mikhail beamed, his eyes brightening up. "There's always a way." My heart bloomed and it fluttered at the sound of his voice and I thanked the gods above for him, my own Alpha.

He pulled into his arms and it felt like everything had merged into one. The scent of his Giorgio Armani cologne wafting into my nostrils along with the soothing caresses of my hair with his hand, the sound of his voice drawing me in deeper, that's when I came to my realization that was dormant ever since the day Mikhail walked into my life.

Right then and there, I knew for sure that I got exactly what I asked for.
