TBC: Chapter Thirty

This is the last chapter.

Dr. Nicca James Alfarone

"I think you have some explaining to do, ya bloody wanker." I rolled my eyes as I walked into where he was sitting, his arms folding as he sat on the bed, glaring at me. "Ah, yes, my dear best friend." I smirked, sitting next to him. "What troubles you?" I asked, taking in the sight of the beautifully decorated room. My family went all out on everything to make sure everything was included. "Ah, yes," Jose mocked me all sarcastically and I narrowed my eyes at him. "How about you start with the bloody fact that you've been hiding stuff from me?" He cursed, running a hand through his hair. "I know you aren't supposed to tell people everything but if it's something Mikhail knows, then I should know too."

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. I knew at some point, I would have to tell Jose. It's a matter of obligation, it's just the fact that he tells me everything about his life, the good and the bad and I knew I could trust him. He was my brother and he would understand. "About 2 centuries ago, there was a man named Immanuel Alfarone. He was of royalty. His family lived in palace somewhere in ancient Arondale. He was rich, wealthy and handsome but he didn't want the women his parents wanted to have. He found love in a pretty, poor girl named Antolia Morgan," I began my story, Jose's head on my shoulder.

"His parents didn't like his choice so they exiled him along with her, which was the start of the murders. He was the only heir to the throne so they had no way of continuing the royal bloodline. Immanuel and Antolia moved and made their own palace," I gestured the one we were in. "Soon after, they had a son named Nathaniel. Soon after they were murdered, leaving Nathaniel to guard after the throne. He got married to one Maria Fontaine. She was rich as well as he, even though they were not in bonds with the original family. A few years after, she had a baby named Nicolai." Jose leaned up and looked at me with wide eyes.

"From there, he grew up here as well, marrying Amor Nicola Jaegan, but Nicolai was killed along with his parents. They eventually had another boy, Nicolai Alfarone II and he was the new heir. That's where we are now." I finished my story and he narrowed his eyes. "Nicolai is your father, so that means..." Jose conspired and I smirked, watching his reactions.

Then I winked. "I'm Sir Nicca James Alfarone, heir to the Alfarone family."

His jaw dropped, I thought it would fall through the floor. "YOU'RE A FUCKING KING, HOLY SHIT!" He screeched and I nodded. "But who killed your family then?" Jose asked and I gritted my teeth, remembering the pain that I went through. It was hard to keep calm and remember that his existence may have been a blessing in disguise. "Raymond." That was all I said before I took a deep breath. "Raymond DiCaprio and his ancestors were the ones behind the murders of my family members. They did it because they wanted their fortunes and all that they were worth but luckily, they didn't get it." I let out a breath, closing my eyes. "Raymond would have killed me if it wasn't for Mikhail."

It was hard to think that I was so crazy in love with someone who turned out to be my enemy in the end. I knew that he wasn't good for me from the very start. I was just infatuated with him to believe that someone so ruthless, so cold, so demeaning could even attempt to do something like that to someone else. I mean, when you're the first member of the Deathrow gang, you must abandon all hopes of having a heart. I made some stupid decisions but thinking that I could find love in someone like Raymond DiCaprio. He wasn't meant to have love.

"I knew something was off about him the first time he came to pick you up for your date." Jose murmured. "He was bloody well creepy and I couldn't put my finger on it, but bet my ass, I knew he was up to no good. Someone who appeared to be too nice and sweet, that's suspicious because everyone has an evil side to them." He shrugged. "I guess it was you who got that rough end of the stick, you poor twat." Jose snickered, throwing back his head to laugh. "That plank totally lost the plot. He went bonkers on you, mate." Jose shook his head and I raised an eyebrow, trying to grasp what he was saying.

"I mean, dannazione, he would have actually got away with it if he didn't try killing you by slicing off the brakes on the truck." Jose shrugged, his blonde hair falling in front of his face and he pushed it back. It made me want to sit back and think about all the events that led up to this. If it wasn't for Emiliano and Raymond cahooting together, I probably would have never been here. "Yes because Mikhail became my bodyguard." I stated, thinking of that very day I met Mikhail Baranov in that hospital room. I remember him walking in all strong and proud, speaking to me in that Russian. We probably didn't meet on the best terms, but it will always be a great story to tell our kids and everyone else.

"Лучшее проклятое решение, которое я сделал."

Our heads shot up to see the man of the hour standing in the doorway, leaning on the door frame. He had a look of fondness in his eyes, one similar to the look he had when he found out we belonged with each other (Best damn decision I have ever made). I looked at him and I took in his appearance, his beautiful hazel eyes that always seemed to be twinkling, that crooked smile of his eyes that I found so endearing, his smooth tanned skin that looked like the sun bowed down to it, and his tousled brown hair, which always sat so enticingly over his eyes. His tall stature that exclaimed dominance and power, his bulging muscles so thick, it was no wonder why I was smitten with him.

Because he was so altruistic, always wanting the best for everyone, no matter what. He was gentle and sweet, able to make me laugh. He's understanding and mindful of everyone and he doesn't hesitate to defend someone when they need his help. He was the very definition of a saint and I was so glad to have him. Sure, he had his negative qualities too. He was always moody and he caught jealous too often. He was uncharacteristically blunt about things, even when he needed to soften the blow. He was always taking risks for himself and not thinking of the consequences, unless it involved others. He was willing to put his own life down for someone else, which scared me.

I guess those were the qualities only found in someone who was the leader of the pack, an Alpha.

"Hi." I muttered breathlessly, and he smirked at me. "Hey there, mate. Talking about me, I see." He chuckled and I almost melted at the sound of his deep voice. "Yes, sir. We had a whole discussion about you and Nicca thinks you're so bloody hot!" Jose exclaimed all sarcastically but it was indeed true because Mikhail was a fucking stud, my man was. "Oh?" Mikhail raised a perfectly arched eyebrow, amusement tugging at those orbs of his. "Nice." He chuckled before walking away and I took that as my cue to go after him.

"Go see your mate." Jose motioned to the door, a sad look in his eyes. "I'll be here waiting for you, shriveled penis." He winked and I rolled my eyes. "Be a good dog and wait for your owner, gay man." I waved my hand at him, ignoring his loud cackle as he fell back onto the bed, probably going to sleep. I shook my head at the turn of events, walking down the steps of the beautifully styled pack house, that now belonged to Mikhail and I. It was scary but now, I had someone to take on the world with me and damn it all, if that didn't sound like the best thing someone could ever have.

When I reached the first floor, I saw teenagers laying in the lounge room and the little kids running and laughing. I spotted someone who might be useful to help me find my lovely mate. "Where's your Alpha?" I leaned down to be level with a little girl named Salyona, her red hair complimenting her freckles and green eyes. "Oh, he's out there Luna!" She giggled and pointed to the backyard, a silhouette reflecting into the glass door. "Thank you, my love." I waved her goodbye and she skipped off to go play with the other children. I made my way towards the backyard, wanting to spend time with my mate. He looked to be in thought, a smile softening those hard features of his as he looked up at the sky. There was no light outside when I exited, the only light coming from the stars above.

Mikhail smelled me before he saw me.

"Come sit with me, Nicca." He motioned for me to come over to him and I complied, wanting to be enveloped in the smell of cinnamon and sugar. He pulled me into his arms and the warmth from his body transferred to mine, rendering me comfortable and warm. I felt safe whenever I was with him, no matter what the time was. He had the aura of calm and zen, and I felt like I could be myself. It was quiet as we sat on the floor of the grass, taking in each other's scent as we watched the night sky.

"Remember when I first walked into your room that day." Mikhail began to speak. "A man named Nicolai had called me, wanting me to take care and protect his son. I took the job without the mere thought, the idea that I would find my mate." His grip tightened around and my heart lurched around in my chest, fluttering. "I wasn't expecting to find you, Nicca but I am damn glad I did." He put his nose in the crook of my neck where his mark would forever remain, inhaling my scent in. "Вы были сделаны для меня." He confessed and I nodded, agreeing. "You were made for me like a match made in heaven." I said, knowing that I meant every single world. I hadn't been this happy in my life but I wasn't going take it for granted but I knew it in my heart that I needed him.

It was true, beating in my heart, my cheeks stained red as my lips curved up into a smile, one that would never go away. It was true.

It was true that Mikhail was I needed and as I turned around to face the man that I love, prepared to live the rest of my life with him, I found myself saying what I felt in my mind, body and soul. Even though he already knew it and everyone else in the world knew it, my mouth opened to speak anyway, eliciting nothing but the truth.

"If I was given the chance to choose between any guy in the world to marry and live happily after with," I drawled on and on, a smirk on my lips as I stared at up at the man I was so clearly in love with, the man who had changed my life from the moment he entered. "Even if I could have anyone in the world," I leaned up, placing my lips before his and wrapping my arms around his neck, his around my waist as we stood still in time, peaceful noises echoing around us and my heart skipped a beat. I looked deep into his eyes, promise to promise, looking deep into his soul, meaning every word.

"It would still be you."
