Revelations

(Midoriya's POV)
Izuku went off the elevator as it arrived his floor, before getting off he let Shoto know by saying "Sure, let me get some stuff on my room before going over."

The elevators closed as Shoto waved goodbye temporarily. Izuku quickly grabbed a few things, a small box, some manga, and of course his phone, power bank, charger and ear phones. It was needless to say that all of these were All Might themed. As he headed out he noticed Tokoyami hanging out outside his room. He greeted him a quick hello, "Out for a delivery?" Tokoyami interjected.

The bird man was leaning against the wall, despite his small stature the whole pose worked out so well for him. His arms crossed and only one eye open as he looked curiously at Izuku.

For Izuku, he thought that Tokoyami was respectable and powerful, not to mention his affinity to dark things. He wasn't necessarily some sort of angsty teen but somehow the whole dark theme didn't make him edgy, but cool instead. He was well aware of his great performances on their hero training and the Sports Festival. He was third because the First and Second place wielded quirks that gained them advantage over him, he also rivals the mobility of the other Third placer as he did great on the Cavalry Battle.

Anyhow, long story short Izuku had assessed Tokoyami and the results were making him shiver in excitement on his improvements. He was so starstruck that he forgot Tokoyami had interjected a question. "Oh... Well I guess this is a delivery of sort. I was just gonna hang out at the fourth floor." Tokoyami only nodded as he continued looking cool beside the wall and Izuku walked past him.

He almost forgot to text Shoto, though knowing him and their recent advances, he always left the door unlocked when Izuku was coming over. Still, Izuku had sent a quick message.

Izuku: Hey omw there
Izuku: I brought stuff 😄
Shoto: I left the door unlocked, dw
Shoto: 👍

The elevator opened and Izuku quickly went to the farthest room in the hall. He knocked and opened the door. "Hi Shoto." He marched inside as he held his things carefully not to let them fall or slip. "Hey, have a seat." Izuku had noticed that a kotatsu was laid out, Shoto was in it laid down on his side on the tatami flooring. He was on his side reading, one hand on the book and the other propped as support to his head.

Izuku moved in to the kotatsu, he lay down his stuff on the side. As he saw Shoto was busy, he first checked his phone for news. He was bound to find news about the attack on U.A. but he found no new details, which brought a question and conversation starter for them. "Shoto... What do you think of the recent infiltration of U.A.?" The subject aroused Shoto's attention, he placed the book down and sat properly facing Izuku. "I'm not sure, I heard rumors that it was a one-man infiltration and of course the fact that it has been resolved already." "Yeah yeah. What I meant was that why there isn't any new information out yet, if it was a stupid one-man infiltration they would've released us earlier?" Izuku continued on with his ramble. "If you think about it, information on the USJ attack was released earlier and faster than this."

Shoto was quiet for a while, thinking of an answer. "Well there could be various reasons, for example the USJ attack had required police help therefore making it Garner attention, but this time it was handled by U.A., the other is that U.A. has lost face so much this year and are wary of appearing to fail to protect it's students. The last and unlikely is that they are hiding something from the public, something that could cause a chaotic panic if revealed casually." Izuku nodded to Shoto's statements, "I guess you're right... It's quite infuriating to not see any info on who infiltrated U.A." "That much is true, also you sound so much like a journalist, Izuku." Shoto snickered, Izuku got flustered and Shoto laughed at his reaction. " Soon enough Izuku joined in Shoto's rare and infectious laughter.

They then laughed at their silly selves, afterwards Izuku brought up the box on the table. "Ah. Are those?" Shoto gasped in excitement. "Yes they are." Izuku opened the box, it contained his hero trading card game. They first played this back then, Izuku noticed that Shoto had fun and was an expert on the game. So this time around he brought them again with him, he last played the game with someone else back at his childhood, though their rules were quite different then.

They played for a while, it was quite a match and Izuku's suspicions were affirmed. Shoto was an expert at the game and he seemed to be having so much fun as he played. "Shoto, you're really good at this game huh?" Izuku innocently asked. Shoto looked down, but not in embarrassment but as if he was remembering a distant memory. He then answered, "This game was one of the bonding times I held with my older brothers and sister, we didn't play this game often and it had different rules but I cherished them all as a great time in my childhood." Shoto had a content smile but Izuku was watery-eyed at his answer.

Izuku was well-aware of Shoto's harsh childhood under his father as he trained him to surpass All Might. Reminding him of it again brought him to the edge of crying. "Izuku, no need to cry over it. I'm okay now." He gave Izuku a reassuring smile and the dual-haired boy had refrained from further sobbing.

Both continued their game, it was a series of winning then losing right after. Finally, on the last and longest game yet, Shoto had won. They were both sprawled on the ground, tired from that battle. After a while Shoto stood up and walked to the kitchen, "What drink would you like?" He asked over from where he was. "Hmm... I am okay with milk coffee." Izuku shouted over. After a few minutes, Shoto walked back in. He held a tray and two mugs, he sent them on the table and began.

"Actually Izuku... On a more serious note, I wanted to talk to you about something important." Shoto sat back down in the kotatsu. "Hm... Actually me too." Izuku sheepishly admitted.

Hey guys. I know it's really short, but I am just so drained after taking a trip back into the city. Actually, while my phone was lost and I struggled rly hard... summer had already passed :(( and yes, our new academic year resumes tomorrow 😭

Anyways... It has been brought to my attention that I developed my characters in a rushed, immature and probably senseless fashion. So yes, there will be more tododeku fluff for a while :3

Thank you so muuuuch for supporting my story, please keep on reading and giving out the constructive criticisms and votes. It makes me so happy that this fic has come so far.

Until the next installment,
