Part 11: The Fox
Sabine and Zeb arrived at Lothal's system the next day only to be greeted with a blockade of Star Destroyers. Luckily, they were prepared.
Attention unknown vessel, this sector is off limits to anyone without clearance. Transmit your clearance codes immediately.
The commander sounded like he had had a very tough day. Sabine reached into her paint bag and pulled out a small, white card. She stuck it in the Phantom's message system and laid back in her chair, arms folded comfortably behind her head. After a short pause the commander responded.
You are clear to proceed.
Zeb released his breath and Sabine rolled her eyes. They wasted no time entering Lothal's atmosphere and making their way to the city.
They left the Phantom in a small, cheap docking area and began walking to a housing unit to spend the night in. They were silent for the first half of the walk, but Zeb had to get Sabine to talk.
"Kid, what are we doing here. Give me a real answer this time," Sabine sighed and shook her head. Zeb put a hand on her shoulder, stopping them in their tracks. "Hey, you can talk to me," she looked up at him.
"I can't really explain it. I just know he's here. I know it's not fair that I'm not telling you much, but we are a part of something really big now. Ezra and that girl are too," Zeb wanted to question her more, to tell her that he wasn't taking a step further until he got some answers, but he knew she couldn't give him any. He let her go.
Secretly, Zeb wanted to be a part of the little psychic episodes and realizations that everyone else seamed to be having. He was "the muscle" of the group, so he pretended like he didn't care. But if he didn't care, he wouldn't have flown all the way to Lothal because a girl he trusts had a feeling that a boy he also trusts was there trying to do... something.

Sabine couldn't sleep. The place they were staying at was infested with lothrats. They reminded her too much of Ezra.
Zeb's room was on the other side of a thin wall next to her bed. She could hear him snoring loudly. Usually when she couldn't sleep, she went to Hera's room and they talked about it.
Sabine got up and reached for her paint bag. She pulled out her sketchbook and her paints. She wanted to draw him. She grabbed the blue color and closed her eyes, letting the feeling guide her.
She thought about his unkempt, raven hair and how much she wanted to dye it. Make it red, or snow white. When she couldn't take it anymore, she opened her eyes. Her sketchbook fell to the floor.
The picture wasn't right. Instead of a padawan, she had painted a fox. A small, sky colored fox. She picked it up, examining it.
It had to have been one of her best work, but she still hated it. Why had she drawn a fox? Foxes weren't even native to Lothal! Did this mean that Ezra wasn't on Lothal?
The door swung open and Sabine quickly hid the painting behind her. "Zeb?" the losat looked down at her.
"I know what's going on. It's that boy we saw at the market. He knows where Ezra is," Sabine looked at him. How did he know that? Then she understood. Ezra was communicating with them, whether he liked it or not.
"That girl. She kidnapped him,"
