Connor's POV.

So here we are, talking to Alpha Lucas. So far he seems to believe me, which is good in our favor.

" I believe your story. However, what I don't understand is why you own father, a respected Alpha at that, wouldn't give his own son a fair trial, let alone a trial. " says Alpha Lucas.

" That's what I've always wondered. However, my father has never been known for being fair. " I say.

" We are more used to human customs, such as a fair trial. Since a lot of pack members are humans. I wish I could have helped you then. " says Alpha Lucas.

" You may not have been able to help him then, but you can help him now. " says Alpha Benjamin.

" By helping us, you are saving not only his life, but the lives of innocent pack members that could be lost do to this over reaction." Says Alpha George.

" In that case. I am on your side in this. I will do whatever I can to help. " says Alpha Lucas.

I smile and look at Amber. She's smiling too. " Thank you Sir. It means a lot. " I say.

" Anytime. " says Alpha Lucas. He stood up. " Now, why don't you and Amber go walk around some. I would like to talk over so private business with Alpha George and Alpha Benjamin. "

Amber and I agree and leave the room. Ambers's father and Tasha's father right behind us.

We walk back out into the front room of the pack house. Amber father and Tasha's father sit down.

Amber and I stay standing. Before any of us could start a conversation, a girl walks up to us.

" Hi, Alpha Lucas alerted me that you four were here and he asked me to get you to your rooms. " she says.

We nod. " Now, if you don't mind me asking, are you two sharing a room?" She asks looking at Amber and I.

I nod. " Yes we are." Says Amber.

Her look brightens. " You guys are a cute couple. Please, follow me. " she says.

We follow her all the way to some rooms. She opens the door to one. " This  room is for you two. " she says.

We thank her and walk in while she shows the other two to their rooms.

Amber starts to look around the room. I can't help, but to smile. She's beautiful to me.

" I got permission from Alpha George. We can try some of your healing power. " says Amber.

The smile on my face is gone then. " I don't want you to get hurt to help me with my power. " I say.

" I know you don't like it Connor. However, we all agreed to it and it'll only be a cut. Not even one big enough for stitches." Says Amber.

" What if I can't heal it?" I say.

" Then the natural healing abilities we werewolves have will heal my hand in a hour afterwards. I'll be fine. I promise. " says Amber.

I walk forward and kiss her. She stiffens at first, not expecting my surprise kiss. However, seconds later she relaxes into the kiss and he hands go to gently hold my face.

" I know your worried, but you don't have to be. Everything is under control. " says Amber.

" I know. " I say.

She kisses me this time. " Now sit, I'll be there in just a second with a dagger. " says Amber.

I nod. I sat down in chair and waited. A few seconds passed before Amber walked back.

In her hand was a small dagger. The same one we used the first time we practiced my power.

She sat down next to me. " It's gonna be a shallow cut. Just in case you can't make your power work. " she says. I nod.

She brings  the dagger up and wraps her left hand around it. She does a small jerk and the dagger cut into her skin.

Not enough for me to feel it through the bond thankfully. I take the dagger and set it down. She opened her hand and there was the cut. Not a bad one like she said thankfully.

I reached over and gently took her hand in mine. I looked at her. I then closed my eyes and tried to concentrate.

We wait a minute before I looked. Nothing had happened. I sighed in a tad of anger. I hate the idea of people having to hurt themselves to help me with my power and it makes it worse when it's Amber.

I hate it. After nearly losing her I can't stand even the thought of her hurt. It brings out the over protective side of me. I need her to be safe and I want his stupid cut to heal fast.

It just a stupid cut. I shouldn't be so worried about it, but I can't help it. It's so annoying. I....

" Connor, look at me. "

Her voice snaps me out of my deep thoughts. I look at her. She's grinning at me. " You did it Connor. You healed the cut. " she says.

My eyes widen and I look. Sure enough the cut was healed. " How? I wasn't even concentrating. " I say.

" It must have been your thoughts. What were you thinking?" She asks.

" How much I hate the thought of you being hurt and how much I wanted the cut to heal even though it was just a puny cut. " I said.

She reaches up and cradles my chin in her hand. " There's how you work the power. You have to want it bad enough. When you heal other people, you don't care enough for them as you do for me. It only worked with Alpha George when you wanted it bad enough. You have to want it." She says.

I lean into her hold a bit more. " Your amazing, I don't know what I'd do without you. " I say.

She leans up and kisses me. " Lets get some rest. We have a few big days ahead of us. " says Amber. I nod and kiss her back. Then the two of us go and get ready to sleep.

A/N. Hey guys. I'm so so sorry this chapter took so long to get out. I've been so busy with tests before I graduate. I've also been spending a lot of time with my boyfriend.
