It's been a few months since I started working at Oceania. All these times, I had travelled a couple of times with Professor Rain, Antonio and Emerald.

Emerald, or Em as she had asked me to call her, and I are now friends. After that day, she apologized and we quickly hit it off, seeing that we share the same passion. She is a couple of years older than me but that's not a problem at all.

Antonio has been a bit too clingy since he saw Em and I spending too much time together. Miguel and Kengi were quick to accept her in our little happy group and so, we hung out a lot when we did not have work, which is very rare.

"Mr. Lu- Antonio, can you please stop following me?" I sigh as I watch the blue-eyed man accompany me to my apartment.

He has been doing that since he located my apartment. If you want to reach there quickly, the shortcut is the dangerous alleys but if you wanna take your time, might as well drive there. Right now, I just want to go home and fall asleep, so I am taking the short route but Antonio caught up with me and now, we both are walking to our place.

"Antonio, it's fine, you know? I have walked this route a lot of times," I argue with him but he stays silent, making me huff angrily.

I stop walking, and after a few moments, he realizes that too. He sighs heavily and turns towards me so that I can give him a piece of my mind but we were cut off by a sudden sound.

"HELP!"

A feminine shout rang in the alleys. Both of our eyes widen and we run towards the sounds that are coming from a different alley.

Our footsteps seem to startle them as the cries seize for a few minutes before a scream comes from the same place. Antonio and I stop just in front of the alley and my eyes widen in horror at the scene.

A knife was lodged into a guy's hand and he was whimpering very loudly while blood gushed out of the wound and pooled in front of him. A woman with a tear-stricken face lay on the ground, panting heavily and another guy had his hand under her skirt and a few more holding the woman down.

The guy who has his hand under her skirt sighs heavily before standing up from his crouching position and walking towards us.

"Hey, man! Nothing to see here! Why don't you guys mind your own business, hmm?" He says as soon as he reaches us. The woman struggles in the guys' holds while biting her lips. 

"Let her go," Antonio says, making the guy's smile drop.

"Give me your bank account and I'll transfer one million dollars and I hope then you and your little boyfriend can stay quiet about this, hmm?" He says arrogantly, making my face scrunch up in disgust for the man.

I hope Ant- 

"Two million and we'll leave," Antonio says, making me gasp loudly in shock and disgust.

What the fuck?!

The guy smirks. "Done!" Antonio's hand grips my arm. 

"Let's go Jin, she's not our business," He says, ignoring my look of disgust.

"Please," The woman cries; my heart clenches painfully.

I shook off his hand from my arm before I lay a punch on the other guy. "Sorry, but she is my business," I huff as the other guys let go of the woman and make their way to me.

I punch, dodge and kick them as they all fall to the ground and groan loudly.

That was too easy!

I wiped off the imaginary sweat from my head before taking out my phone and dialling 911.

"Hello this is 911, how can I help you?"

"Hello, I'm Ji-"

"Look out!" I hear the same female voice shout from behind me but it is too late. My left side throbs and a sizzling pain erupts from that side and engulfs me whole. I, immediately, cup it before pulling away and seeing blood on my hand. I groan, kneeling on the ground, not being able to keep myself up from the pain. I look behind me to see the lady holding her heels and looking down at the now unconscious guy.

She must have hit him with her heels. Wow, she's awesome.

She notices my state and rushes to my side. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry! I-" She breaks into tears as she tries to hook my arms around her shoulders and pick up her things and my phone. I grin mentally and pat her arm, reassuring her that I was fine.

"Hello? Hello?! Is everything all right?! I have already sent the ambulance and police to your location please wait-"

"Can you tell them to hurry up please?" The woman croaks in a husky voice. The 911 lady reassures us that the police are near before she hangs up.

Before I knew it, I was being laid on a stretcher and tended to while those guys were being handcuffed and taken away. The woman speaks with them for a few minutes while Antonio stands on the side watching the scene.

I feel disgusted by what Antonio was going to do. I can't even look at him!

I turn my head to the other side and notice the woman walking towards the ambulance and getting in.

"Is he okay?" I heard the woman's faint voice ask.

"Yeah, he's fine, just a deep cut. I think he will need stitches but I don't think his organs got harmed..." Their voices become more and more quiet as I slip into darkness.

"I think you should go home." I hear someone say, faintly.

I shift slightly, groaning lowly at my tense muscles. Immediately, I hear shuffles as I, slowly, open my eyes and stare at the white ceiling.

"You're at the hospital and your parents are coming," I hear the same voice say, making me turn towards her. 

"I never go-" I cough slightly at my dry voice; she stands up and brings a cup of water for me. I drink it and sit up on my bed, slowly to avoid abusing the treated wound. I clear my throat before asking again, "I never got your name?" She has a relieved look on her face and smiles slightly. 

"I'm Melody, Melody Warner, Mr. SeokJin Kim." I nod my head.

She is beautiful and her voice is really sweet too, like a melody.

See what I did there? You can laugh.

"Please call me SeokJin and also, please don't be regretful, I did what I wanted to do and this wound is nothing." I flash her a wide smile and she grins at me before taking my hands in her small ones.

They feel so warm and nice.

"Thank you so much, SeokJin. If you hadn't stepped in..." She shudders, making me shudder too at the thought. 

"That didn't happen and I saved you and I got hurt because of it so you have to play nurse for me until I am okay again," I said, glaring playfully at her. I want her to forget that ever happened. I can see her still shaking slightly, her eyes are out of focus and she is forcing a smile on her pretty face. 

She immediately nods her head. "I'll do my best!" She says with a serious tone, making me widen my eyes and then grabbing her wrist. 

"No wait! I was just kidding Melody."

"I wasn't." She winks at me before getting off the seat and smoothening her dirty hair. 

"Jin..." I hear someone say. I look to my left to see Antonio standing there and looking at me with soft eyes.

Disgusting! Utterly disgusting!

"Mr. Luis I swear if I ever see you around me anymore, I'll report you to the police," I say with a very calm voice. Antonio freezes on the spot before he melts the ice and slowly, nods his head. With his head bowed down in shame, he leaves. I let out a heavy sigh, ruffling my hair with my right hand.

"Wow, that was sexy of you," Melody says dreamily, making me chuckle. 

"You are not bad yourself," I say, making her put her hands on her hips.

"You kidding me? I am Worldwide Beautiful and Sexy." She winks at me before cocking her hip to the side. I raise an eyebrow at her sentence and I cannot help but burst into fits of laughter, which make my left side ache and so I had to stop, wincing slightly.

I like her already!
