Hector gathered all the male students into line as he led them to their dorm rooms, with Daniel and Wade in the back of the line.

[So how are you feeling about your first day away from home so far way?] Bruce asked.

"I feel fine so far, but of course, I will miss Mom's cooking," Daniel replied.

"You know I never understood why you have conversations with your Machop, but not going to judge you like the other kids did back in summer camp," Wade commented with a chuckle.

Daniel narrowed his eyes slightly wondering if he should tell Wade the truth or just change the subject completely.

"If I tell you it won't change our relationship right?" Daniel asked.

"Come on Danny boy nothing will change between us even if the reason is strange," Wade smirked."You always be my bestie even if I sometimes compete with you."

"Right, well the truth is ever since I was still a toddler I got lost and discovered wandering in the wandering in woods close to home and accidentally made Beedrill swarm mad and Bruce here saved me by telling me the way out," Daniel explained.

"Ah, I always wonder how you to meet, but it's kind of cool you understand Pokemon," Wade commented."I kind of wish I had a gift like that."

"So we're still good?" Daniel asked.

"Course dude," Wade said with a chuckle.

Daniel smiled happy to still have his best friend despite how strange his gift was to talk with Pokemon seemed to the others growing up.

"Alright, Matthew and Jackson this room will be yours," Hector said as he stopped at the first room starting with the boy section."The principal will have a meeting later this afternoon to welcome all the new students and hand out the class schedule and of course a starter pokemon for those who need one still."

Daniel and Wade ended up their conversation as they glanced to see Matthew walk into the room with his hands in his pocket following behind him was the redhead boy he saw getting on the bus and suddenly noticed a puppy Pokemon next to him.

(This was an OC that was made by someone who wanted their OC in my story)

"So it was the redhead thought so when I saw Matthew look in his direction annoyed, but the blonde was standing in that direction as well so wasn't sure," Wade commented.

"Sucks to be him and looks like his partners and Growlithe I believe that the name saw one a few times," Daniel said.

"Yeah believe that the name," Wade stated.

[Yes that is a Gowlithe I used to know one back in my home but my friend was a female that one seems like a male.] Bruce said.

"Ah."

"I wonder who all doesn't have a Pokemon yet and what people will end up with," Wade said.

"Same," Daniel said as he and glanced at Matthew relieved that wasn't his roommate.

Finally, Hector came to the last room belonging to Wade and Daniel.

"Wade and Daniel here is your room," Hector said."As I mentioned before you gave me until the afternoon before you need to meet up in the conference room. So go ahead and settle in and feel free to explore the school," He said with a warm simile before walking off.

"Alright let's see how it looks," Wade said.

"You a critic now?" Daniel asked.

"What of course not," Wade chuckled."I don't criticize bedrooms unless it is absolutely ugly," He said stepping inside of the bedroom.

They walked into the bedroom with walls painted a pale yellow two posters with the Kanto starters and two twin-size beds with Pokeball sheets. On the left side of the room was a door leading to the bathroom.

"Not a bad room basic, but it is a school despite how expensive it is," Wade stated.

"True I take the bed closets to the right near the large window," Daniel said placing his bag on the bed as Bruce got down from his back.

[This is a nice view good bed choice.] Bruce commented.

Daniel nodded in agreement."I might explore around outside," He said."What are you going to do?" He asked.

"I'm going to unpack my bag and put my clothes in the dresser near my bed, and then I join you outside to explore," Wade replied.

"Alright I unpack later for now just need a bit of fresh air after that bus ride," Daniel said as Bruce claimed back onto his back."You know you can walk Bruce, but whatever ide on my back for now one day you have to walk when you ever."

[Yeah but that day not today or anytime soon.] Bruce commented.

"Yeah watch him crush you trying to ride your back the day he evolves," Wade chuckled.

"Won't happen I prevent him from trying," Daniel commented as he walked put the room to explore.

Daniel and Bruce walked outside the school breathing in the fresh air.

"This is much better than that stuffy bus ride," Daniel stated.

[I feel you it was quite stuffy I preferred the boat.] Bruce said in agreement.

"That's true I enjoy the boat ride better than the bus," Daniel said with a nod.

Daniel and Bruce ended the conversation when something soft brushed against his leg. He looked down to see a small, mammalian, quadrupedal Pokemon with primarily brown fur. The tip of its bushy tail and its large furry collar are cream-colored. It has short, slender legs with small toes and pink toes and a pink paw pad on each foot. It has brown eyes, long pointed ears with dark brown interiors and a small black nose.

"Hey, Eevee get back here!" A familiar feminine voice called out.

Daniel glanced up to see Jessie running his way and immediately picking up the Eevee who licked her face.

"Ah that your partner  an Eevee," Daniel said.

Jessie looked up surprised and nodded."Yeah, she's my best friend sorry about her," She said.

"No problem I didn't mind her nuzzling my leg," Daniel said.

"Let's go Eevee," Jessie said getting ready to walk off.

"Hey wait why don't we go for a walk together?"He asked."I would like to get to get to know you better."

"I guess that would be nice," Jessie replied.

"Ah, what we got here," A familiar voice questioned.

Daniel turned around with a sigh as he recognized the voice and saw it was Matthew.

"What do you want Matthew?" Daniel asked.

"Nothing just surprising to see you here Danny loser," Matthew mocked.

"Shut it Matthew nobody wants to hear your opinion are that voice," Wade said as he appeared behind Mathew smirking."Let's go chill near the water my buddy could use a swim. Feel free to join as well blue eyes," He said nodding at Jessie.

"Thanks, but don't go where you're about to go," Daniel stated.

[You know the right you have an interested in this girl since you saw her.]Bruce commented.

"Maybe she's a bit pretty," Daniel whispered to Bruce.

"So the three of you know each other?" Jessie asked.

"Yeah the three of us went to the same summer camp when we were 6 to 7," Wade replied.

"That's right and Matthew was always a jerk," Daniel said.

Jessie simply nodded in understanding as Wade let out his Mudkip for a nice swim as Daniel told Jessie a bit about summer camp.

"All beginner students of Poketech meet in the conference room upstairs in room 103!" A voice suddenly announced on the intercom speakers.

This is the fifth chapter of my first Pre-Ash Ketchum story. I hope you are enjoying the story so far. As you can see I decided I was Jessie's partner Pokemon it was a tie between three Pokemon which were Eevee, Meowth, and Chansey, but I decided eventually I wanted it to be Eevee which two of you guess it was. Now I hope the story is to your liking so far, next chapter we be meeting the principal and getting the class schedule. I plan to make this story just as interesting as my other stories. Soon we get more into the Poketech. Let me know what you think in the comments on the story so far.
