MagicPoppy  is a wonderful teenfiction author. Her book that won a place in the blooming awards blew all the judges away. Below is her interview.

What do you like about writing?

I like writing mainly YA (Young Adult) and romcom with many twists and turns. I enjoy straying away from the usual and cliché and try to always look for new spins to your usual, favorite tales. I like writing about a character that has been through, or is going through, something that will change them as a person and their outlook on life and what they want. I honestly feel that dynamic character expresses my change as a person too.

Who is an author you look up to?

There's a long list of authors I look up to. Some off Wattpad would be Rick Riordran and Rachel Morgan (South African) as their style of writing is unique yet beautiful. On Wattpad, I like reading books written by shrinkingviolets_   and   ThatReeader because they bring fresh content and writing styles to the plate that I find enduring.

Who is your favorite character in your own book?

My favorite character in my book is Erin Fletcher and not my protagonist Cara Brown. This is because Erin kind of mended her own personality as I was writing her and a lot of her personality and experience are based on people in my life who have either inspired me or been a great friend.

Any advice for fellow Wattpaders?

The advice I would give is to write, write, write. If you love writing and find happiness and comfort in writing, write. Your writing will automatically improve itself, especially if you read a lot of writing guides -- that's what I did to improve my writing. When you are writing, try experimenting with different narrative styles and point of views to your usual, be flexible. Write about your fantasies if you want, all authors/resses have minds that dream up scenarios, use that. And most of all, have fun, enjoy it and make writing something you look forward to doing. Make it something that is your release.

What genres do you enjoy reading?

I love fantasy and sci-fi, I don't mind picking up a cheesy romcom and would kill for a good mystery/thriller book.

What's an interesting fact about you that we may not know?

I write really late at night and write chapters at random before deciding where they go in the story. I don't even sketch my characters, I just write them
