More Explaining
Hey I'm back I feel like it's been forever since I actually updated this, but anyway I didnt have any good ideas so here you go.
[Jack's POV]
I awoke to the smell of pancakes and bacon filling my nose. I didn't hesitate to go and find the source of the delicious smell. So, I shakily stood up and walked towards the kitchen to see Mark standing at the stove cooking, exactly what is smelled, pancakes and bacon. He turned around and gave me a quick glance before turning back to the pans "morning, I thought since you're human and humans need to eat that I would try and cook something for you" he said, focusing on the bacon so he wouldn't burn it.
I gave I little nod before I sat down at the table, it was then that I noticed how cold I felt without having Mark by my side. Mark then walked over to me and set down a plate, that had pancakes and bacon on it, in front of me. I mumbled a "thanks" before taking a big bite out of the pancakes, after I had taken that bite I realized how hungry I actually was. I looked up from my plate to see Mark sitting across from me, a serious look on his face. "Do you like it? I haven't really cooked for centuries." He said, watching me take another bite. I smiled a goofy smile and said, with my mouth full of food, "yes! It's delicious." His serious look went to something that looked like relief before he smiled his own goofy smile and said "good, I'm glad you do."
My mind travelled to last night and how we went to the café, how he explained somethings to me, and how we snuggled together and slept. I still couldn't seem to get the damn stone off my mind though, I had to ask about it. "Umm...Mark, what was that stone you put in your pocket before we left for the café yesterday" I asked, trying not to seem so sudden. "Oh, that little thing. It's called a sun stone and vampires use them when they go out in the sun. Obviously, since I'm a vampire I had to use it." He said, pulling out the same stone from yesterday from his shirt pocket. "Oh, so how does that little thing protect you from the sun" I asked, watching him play with the stone in his hand. "As long as I'm holding it, it provides a solar shield that surrounds my body. Each stone has a limit of 24 hours and this one has, maybe, 1 hour left on it. But if you don't take this with you, and you go out into the sun, you immediately get 3rd degree burns. It's only happened to a few vampires, though" he said, basically answering all of my questions about that stone, but not all. "Ok so, how do you get them" I asked, really wanting to know. "Well, we get supplied with blood bags every month and if you save up enough of them, which means saving up 85 blood bags, you can turn in those blood bags for 10 sun stones. But if you aren't on the supply list you're mostly likely on the hunt list, which means somebody turned you in for killing a human and blah blah blah that means you don't supplied, which is actually really dumb because if you don't get supplied with blood bags then the only thing to drink are humans blood. Anyway if you don't get blood bags then you can't get sun stones, which also means that some vampires can't go in the sun at all and they are stuck living in compete and utter darkness for the rest of their lives." He said, going really into detail. "Oh I get" was all I could say. He put the stone back in his pocket, smiled and nodded before standing up to let me finish eating.
I realized during his speech that my food had gotten cold, so I just left it and went over to Mark, who was sitting on the couch watching tv, and asked him if he could drop me off at my dorm because I have morning classes to get to and I didn't exactly want to be all smelly and gross when I get to class. He said yes and flashed us to my dorm, where I unlocked the door and went inside, he gave a quick smile before flashing away.
I had just gotten to my first class as soon as the bell rang. I sat down and realized it was gonna be a long day.

Anyway I'm still sorry for not updating like I said I would and I'm sorry if this chapter is short or just plain shit. Just some writers block that will hopefully leave my brain soon.
Please leave a vote or comment for the next chapter. It is greatly appreciated!!!
