Dabi was laying on the couch in the base for the League of Villains, when a certain tall, green haired boy walked by. He flashed Dabi a quick smile before leaving to his room. He suddenly felt something wanting to come back up. He ran to the bathroom, only to cough out... a flower petal?

Hawks was chilling with Dabi, when Izuku came back from school, he waved at them both, causing both to cough. They both rushed to the same bathroom, only to find themselves both coughing up flower petals.

"What..?"

Hanahaki Disease.

This is caused from a one-sided love. The victim will start coughing up petals of their love/crush's favourite flower, or one that represents their personality. It will start off as petals before growing into whole flowers. The flower will start growing in the victim's lungs. If not removed or cured in a certain amount of time, the victim will suffocate and die...

Ways to cure Hanahaki is for it to be removed via surgery or for the love/crush to return their feelings.

Ways to remove/rid of Hanahaki Disease:

-Surgery. Side affects caused by surgery may include;
● any and all memories of love/crush are forgotten

● feelings toward the crush/love are gone and can't be reformed

● inability to love again

● death (if something went wrong during surgery)

-For the crush/love to return said feelings

-Death

If the victim of Hanahaki is unable to get the surgery, whether they don't want to lose memories and/or feelings towards the crush, or if its too risky towards your life, if you don't want to risk losing the ability to love, or if you're just too broke. (im looking at you Uraraka.. whos sobbing in the corner)

The victim may have to have their crush return their feelings, not just a deep friendship but actually loving them, or have to just accept their fate..

It will usually take from a couple months to a couple of years for the Hanahaki to reach it's final stages. Plenty of time for the other to fall.

Some will end themselves so they won't have to deal with the inevitable end. Most would rather end themselves and die by their own hand, instead of flowers of all things to kill them. Much like a young woman, Inko Midoriya had done...

When in the final stages, they will cough up brown, crispy, and dead flowers. Signifying that the life had been drained from them..

Rejection and one-sided love has never felt this good.
