Juanita made Vanessa a Tres Leche cake that says Once upon a time, a badass was born.

Are you on your way yet? I told her you'd be here.
~I'm about to leave Daniella's house now. Can I bring her?~
Alex. Don't make me hit you! You know I can't stand her and neither can Vanessa so that wouldn't be a smart idea.
I shake my head as I walk to the font door as someone rings the bell. Josh and Vanessa arrive at the same time.
"Happy birthday Nessa!" I say hugging her.
"Thank you bih!" She laughs.
Josh looks at her. "Happy birthday Vanessa." He says blushing.
She gives him a hug and tell him thanks.
"My friend Nevaeh will be here in a bit." She says to me.

"Is Gamma here yet?" She asked trying to sound casual.
"Not yet, but he will be. Come on, let's go get in the pool." I say taking off the shirt Dominick made me wear.
"Holy shit Ari! You look hot!" Vanessa says checking me out.

We walk outside to the pool and get in.
A few minutes later, Josh comes and takes his shirt off.

Vanessa says bluntly.
Josh chuckles. "Yeah I'm full of surprises." He says as he cannonballs into the pool.

About an hour later, Alex finally arrives.
He walks over to the pool as we're lounging on the chairs. "I'm sorry I'm late. He looks at me and then at Vanessa. "I got caught up in som-" he stops mid-sentence as he locks eyes with hers.
I look at Vanessa and Alex, they look like they are in some kind of trance.

Alex pulls her up out the chair and marks her as he growls
"Mine!"
As soon as Alex takes his mouth off Vanessa's neck, she growls "mine!" and marks him too. I giggle because it reminds me of how I marked Dominick in front of everyone. Alex smiles at Vanessa like she's the only girl in the world.

I clear my throat as I stand up. "Congratulations you two! I guess you were right all along." I say nudging Vanessa.
She blushes.
Alex looks at me and then to Vanessa.
"We'll be back in an hour, I need to um give her, her birthday gift." He says throwing her over his shoulder.
She giggles all the way to the pack house.
I'm so happy for them!

It makes me miss Dominick so I mind-link him.

Alex done kidnapped the birthday girl and Josh is talking to her friend Nevaeh.

An hour later, we all walk into the kitchen to eat.

Alex and Vanessa still haven't came down so I mind-link her.
Nessa, hurry up and finish your gift and get downstairs. The food is ready, and I'm about to eat without you.

I hope you meant that as coming downstairs.

A few minutes later, Alex and Vanessa walk into the dining room doing the walk of shame. Vanessa's hair is all over the place and Alex has hickeys all over his neck.
Jaunita serves us all a plate and I break the silence.
"Beta and Isabel told me to let you know they were sorry they couldn't be here. Doctor Ramirez said she can come back here tomorrow."
Vanessa nods "That's no problem. I understand." She says.

"Guys, there's no need to feel awkward. Be grateful you found each other. Ariana was just embarrassed as you when she marked me right in front of my parents. It's only natural." Dominick chuckles.
"Exactly. When he marked me, we were having sex and then he announced it at dinner." I laugh.
Everyone is laughing and the awkwardness is gone.

"Ari, it's just like that time you walked out the bathroom naked, and I kissed you." Josh says trying to add his story in.
Everybody laughs, except Dominick.
He looks at me with such betrayal and abruptly stands up and leaves the room.
The awkwardness comes right back.

Josh looks at me "Did I do something wrong?"
I run my hand across my face. "I never told him about that." I say feeling ashamed. "I knew it didn't mean nothing so I didn't want to cause unnecessary problems."
I try to mind-link him saying I'm sorry but he ignores me.
"I'm so sorry Ari." Josh says apologetic. "I didn't know."
"It's ok. We were just having a good time. I know you didn't mean no harm by it." I say smiling to let him know it's fine.
"I'll be right back. Go ahead and finish eating, I'll meet you back outside by the pool." I say walking out the dining room to our bedroom.
He's not in here. He must went outside for some fresh air.

I head back downstairs and I grab the gift I bought for Vanessa as I walk back out to the pool.
I can't let this ruin her birthday.
"Here you go Nessa." I say handing her the gift.
"Awe Ari! You didn't have to buy me a gift." She says opening the gift box.
"I love it!" She squeals.
"It's a best friend diamond anklet. I bought a matching one so we can wear them together." I say smiling.
She stands up and hugs me tightly. "Thank you! I love you bih!"
I laugh. "I love you too!"

"Well. Well. Well. What going on here? Daniella says staring at us as she walks up to Alex. "Why didn't you invite me?"
Alex looks at Vanessa and back to Daniella.
"Because I don't like you, that's why." Vanessa snaps back.
"Aw. You hurt my feelings. You may not like me, but he sure does." She says rubbing her hand across Alex's chest.
Vanessa growls. "Get your hands off my mate before I break them!" She threatens.

Daniella let's out an obnoxious laugh "Like the Gamma would mate with you, he likes them experienced, not an amateur."
She goes to touch his face but she sees the mark on his neck. "You really let her mark you?" She says disgusted.
He looks at Vanessa. "Yes I did and I marked her too. He says as he starts making out with her right in front of Daniella.

She looks at him surprised and smirks. "Do you know why your mate was late Vanessa? Because he was fucking me! So go ahead enjoy my sloppy seconds." She says.
I can see the hurt in Vanessa's eyes but she shakes it off.
Daniella looks at me like she wants to say something.
"You got something to say Daniella?" I ask challenging her.
She opens her mouth and then closes it.

"Gamma, when you get tired of your plaything and I know you will, you know where I'm at." She says as she winks at him.
"You nasty ass bitch!" Vanessa yells as she punches Daniella.
Daniella stumbles backwards a bit and then throws a punch to Vanessa. They are both throwing punches as they pull each other's hair.
"Alex do something!" I yell.
Josh tries to grab Daniella as Alex grabs Vanessa but Daniella headbutts him in the nose, making it bleed.
Alex yells to Nevaeh "Grab Vanessa!" as he grabs Daniella by the arms.
I grab some napkins as I rush over to Josh pinching his nose close to stop the bleeding. "What were you thinking trying to grab a wolf Josh? I ask panicked.
"I'm sorry, I was just trying to help break the fight up." He says as he points to his nose. "Thank you Ari."
"You're welcome." I say back.

Daniella looks at Vanessa with a busted lip. "Look even now, your mate can't keep his hands off me." She laughs as she yanks her arms away from Gamma and leaves.
