As soon as Vlad vanishes, I walk quickly back to the pack house. I'm too scared to run. I don't want to trip and fall.

I mind-link to Dominick.
Babe he was here!
~Who was here meu amor?~
Vlad. The master of the vampire clan that showed up last night.
~Holy shit! Are you ok baby? What did he say?~
Yes I'm fine, just a little shook up. I'm about to head back to the conference room, meet me there.
I mind-link Alex and Mike together.
Gamma, Beta meet us back in the conference room. It's urgent!
~Yes Luna, we're both on the way now.~
As I open the conference room, Dominick runs up to me. "Are you sure you're ok meu amor?" He says checking my body.
I laugh "Yes love, I'm fine. I mind-linked Alex and Mike so they will be here any minute."

Right on cue, Alex and Mike barge into the room out of breath.
"What's going on?" Mike says.
"Yeah, I was just about to eat some bangin pizza." Alex cuts in.
"Vlad came to me while I was in the woods." I say seriously.
Alex's jaw drops "How? I had the whole perimeter covered."
I shrug "I don't know, but he wanted to make a deal with me. He came looking for me until he saw that I was pregnant. He told me that if I gave him one of the Twins for their powers, he would spare the pack." I say trying to stay strong. "I obviously told him no, so he told me to prepare for war."
Alex and Mike high five each other "Time to put all that Modern Warefare into action."

Dominick yells "Guys this is serious! We are talking about the lives of our pack!"
Gamma and Beta look at him quickly "Sorry Alpha, we were just trying to lighten the mood. We know how important the safety of the pack is to you, but you and the Luna come before anyone else."
Beta nods in agreement.
I look at the shocked "No all of our lives matter!"
Alex and Beta look at each other and then to me "Yes that's true. We don't want any of our pack to lose their lives but when we became part of this pack, we made a promise to always put the Alpha and Luna's safety first. Alex says.
"And we will always protect our leaders." Mike chimes in.

Dominick nods. "We appreciate your loyalty guys. Now go get some rest so we can spar in the morning. I want all the pack members to start sparring every morning instead of once a week. We need to keep their strength up so we are better prepared and stronger. Me and the Luna are going to go get some rest because we are jet lagged as fuck." He laughs as we head to our bedroom.

The next morning I wake up to an empty bed.
There's a note on the nightstand.
Meu amor, I went sparring with the guys. I didn't want to wake you because you looked so peaceful sleeping so I just wanted to leave you this note. I love you and will see you later. -D
I smile as wiggle out of bed. It's getting harder and harder to get out of bed. I'm almost eighteen weeks now. Only six weeks to go. I go to the closet and change into a gray jumpsuit and throw on my nikes.

I head downstairs into the kitchen and Juanita greets me. "Goodmorning Luna. I just finished making breakfast would you like some?"
I climb onto the bar stool "Yes please."
She smiles and puts a plate of fresh blueberry pancakes, chorizo and scrambled eggs in front of me. "Thank you Jaunita! My dad use to make this for me." I say as I bit into a pancake. "Taste just like his." I say doing my happy dance.
She giggles. "Me and your dad talked some at your wedding and he told me about some of your favorite meals and about your happy dance.
I laugh. "Speaking of my father, I think I will go visit him today." I say talking to myself.
As I finish my breakfast, I rest my hand on my belly and feel happiness spread all over my body. "I guess you both enjoy that breakfast too." I smile as I talk to Ava and Javian.

I quickly mind-link Dominick
Hey babe, I'm going to get Vinnie to drive me over to my house for a bit. I haven't seen my dad since the wedding. I love you.
~Ok meu amor. Please be careful. I love you more.~
Then I mind-link Vinnie.
Goodmorning Vinnie, do you mind driving me to my house?
~Of course not Luna. I'm ready whenever you are.~
I walk out to the garage and Vinnie is waiting on me.
"Hello Vinnie, thank you for driving me." I say as I climb in the backseat.
"You're quite welcome Luna." He says shutting my door.

After an hour drive, I'm finally home. My dad runs out the door "Hey pumpkin! I've missed you!" He says as he wraps me in a hug.
"I've missed you too dad." I say hugging him tighter.
We sit on the porch swing and I talk to him about my powers and Vlad.
"He wants my powers but he said he'd spare the pack if I gave him one of the babies. I refuse to give that monster anything of mine. The only problem is we can't sense or smell them when they come. That's their advantage right now."
My dad looks at me and says "They must be using a witch to cloak, that's why you can't see them crossing your borders. They also probably have the same witch using a spell to mask their scents so you can't detect them."

"That makes sense dad! That's why Gamma didn't see anybody come through the borders. Why didn't I think of that?" I say facepalming my forehead.
"You can probably hire your own personal witch to cast a spell around the perimeter that removes any spells that passes through the pack border." He suggests.
I kiss him on the head. "Dad you're a genius!" I continue. "There is something I wanted to ask of you though.

"Ok sweetie what is it?" He asked.
"Well first, I've decided that I want to move in to the pack house since I'm married now. I say waiting to see his disappointment but he just smiles.
"That's fine baby. Now what's your question?"

"Will you move to the pack house with me?" I ask smiling.

"You want me to move to the pack house with you?" My dad asked surprised.
"Yes dad, I do." I say smiling.
"But I'm not a part of the pack, or even a wolf." He says unsure.
"You can always become a part of the pack dad. You may not be a wolf but you have some wolf traits." I say.
"What would you gain from me being in the pack sweetie?" He asked.
"You know about things that some of us don't. You know how to think outside of the box, like just now when you figured out Vlad had a witch working for him. We need someone like you. You could be our advisor." I say trying to persuade him.

"An advisor?" He questions.
"Yes. You will be at all our meetings so it's not just a title. I want you to see how important you being there is. Just like today, you can help us with other situations too. What do you say?" I ask smirking.
"It's a tempting offer baby, but I don't know." He frowns.
"Ok. If that won't convince you, how about I want you to move with me so you can be with your grandchildren. We live an hour away from each other. When I have the twins and start college, we will barely see each other and I don't want that." I say giving him a pout.
He chuckles. "You had to put the grandchildren card, didn't you?"

"Hey if it works, then yes." I giggle.
"Ok. I will move to the pack house with you." He smiles.
"Yay! Now let's start packing. Just pack your clothes and anything sentimental like mom's urn because we have everything else at the pack house and if we don't, we can get it." I say hugging him.
I look toward the SUV and yell. "Hey Vinnie, can you do me a huge favor and go to the pack house and get those empty boxes that Dominick placed in the garage please?"
"Actually Luna, there are in the back of the SUV. Dominick asked me to put them in here because he knew sooner or later you were going to move in with him." He chuckles.
"Of course he did. Cocky as always" I laugh. "Thank you Vinnie."

I grab my phone and call Josh.
"Hey Josh, can you come over to my house? My dad and I are packing, and we could use an extra pair of hands."
"Of course Ari. I'm on the way now and don't you dare lift anything heavy!" He commands.
"Ok I won't sir." I say laughing as I hang up.

After two hours of the four of us packing, we're finally finished. "Ok. Let's load it all in the back, so we can get going!" I say excitedly.
"Josh after we graduate, if you don't have any plans. We can always use someone at one of the Sanchez businesses. We got plenty of room out there." I say hinting to him.
He laughs "I may take you up on that." He says as he hugs. "See you at school Monday." He kisses my cheek and leaves.
"Ready to go dad?" I ask.
He nods. "Let's go kiddo."

As we head toward the pack house, I mind-link Dominick.
Hey babe, I hope I'm not interrupting. Just want to let you know I'm on the way back and I got someone with me.
~Hey Meu Amor, no you're not interrupting. We just finished sparring. I was just about to jump in the shower but who's with you?~
I invited my dad to move in with us, I want him to be closer to us especially when the twins get here. You don't mind right?
~Of course not baby, I love your dad and he deserves to be here with us too. He can stay on the floor with Gamma for right now.~
Ok babe. Seen you soon. I love you.
~I love you more baby.~

About thirty minutes from the pack house, I noticed something odd in the fields. I could see black smoke like Alex described last night.
"Hello Ariana." Vlad says wickedly, startling me.
I look in the backseat and there he is sitting beside my dad.
My heart starts racing. "What do you want?"
"I came to ask you one last time, if you want to reconsider our little arrangement? He says grinning.
"No I haven't reconsidered! You will never touch me or my children, you freak!" I yell.
His grin turns into a malicious scowl. "Well then, call your mutts so I can watch as my soldiers kill them."
"No. I will not call them." I say trying to hide my fear.
He grabs my dad's neck as his long black fingernails claw into his throat. "Do it or I will gladly drain the blood out of this worthless human." He sneers as blood begins to trail down his hand.
"Ok! Don't hurt him!" I scream.

I mind-link Dominick.
Babe! Vlad appeared in the SUV and has my dad. He's threatening to kill him, if you and the pack don't come. We are thirty minutes from the pack house.
~That son of a bitch! He yells. Don't worry baby, we're coming. I can track your scent to find where you are.~
"They're on the way so let him go." I say angrily, fighting back tears.
"As you wish." He says grabbing my dad and slamming his head into the window, knocking him out cold. "I can't have any surprises ruining my plan." He grimaced.
"No!" I scream as Vlad leaves the SUV. I try to wake my dad but he's unconscious.

*He will be fine Ariana. You have to remain strong for your pack* Ivy says calming me down.
I roll down my window for some fresh air and there is over three dozen vampires waiting on the empty field.
A few minutes later, the pack comes out of the forest, all shifted into their wolves except Dominick. He must of rode on one of their backs to get here quickly. He's leading them with Gamma and Beta in wolf form by his side. Dominick walks right up to Vlad staring him down.

My heart starts pounding as I grab the door handle and start pushing the door open.
~No! Do not get out of that SUV meu amor. I won't be able to concentrate on ripping this fucker's head off, if I'm worrying about you. Please~ He begs.
I need to help. I can't just sit here and watch!
~You can't shift baby. If you want to help, stay in that truck. Our responsibility is to keep you and those babies safe and that's what we're going to do.~
I'm about to respond until I hear Vlad start talking.

"Hello Alpha." He spits sarcastically.
