It's not the update you were wanting, but it's not bad news either!! I really like being transparent with my readers, because I do all of this for you guys.

So, I have grown as a writer, and I have grown as a reader. I now see that the Blood of Rubies has sooo much potential... but it's untapped. It just feels like it's missing "something". And that makes it like pulling teeth trying to make updates.

Problem is, I am struggling to pinpoint what that is.

It's completely anonymous. I have no idea who is answering what. And I invite you to be as HONEST as possible. You can even tell me you hate the chapter headers haha I won't know who you are!

I'm at a stage where I am willing to massively re-work parts of this story, and giving me raw feedback is best when I am feeling this way. Everything pointed out will just help my creative gears turn—I'm grateful I have thick skin when it comes to this lol

**I should note that the story isn't getting completely rewritten. This is going to be a true heavy edit, versus a rewrite. It's where I like it, but I might change things up a bit. Like add one or two scenes to support the story more, take out a few, change the dynamic between Ludo and Cora more (like perhaps mark it so knows more of the world before arriving so she's more confident... but still has never seen anything like this, etc)

I am so so so sorry that I am so bad at updates with this book. It really does kill me because you guys have been the most vocal reader base I've ever had for a book, and I only want to deliver chapters that will make you excited every time.

But, at the same time, after thinking about it, I don't want to finish this book on a bad note just to get it done. It more than likely means me un-publishing it for a while as I work on editing it, because it's easier to make chapter updates when it's unpublished versus when it's live.

Will I finish the book?

Yes. Yes I will. Every time I look at the notes on this book, I get a huge wave of commitment to finish this because there's SO much to explore. But then I go back to write it... and it feels off. I have learned, at this point, that means that it needs some editing.

So I please ask for any and all feedback! I would love to hear your thoughts; you can even leave them here, if you prefer. I just have the option for anonymous opinion so you can feel more comfortable speaking your mind. The questionnaire is guided, so you just answer what I have. I am dying to know what readers are hoping for, what they have not liked so far, and what needs to change. I definitely want to make changes, but don't want to change too much if there's pieces that do work well.

I also want to give a genuine thank you to everyone who not only reads and votes, but has left incredibly wonderful comments on the story throughout the many updates. I can't express how much they have meant to me, other than to make sure this story is the version that my readers will love.
