Alpha Kim and the whole royal family of Lockheart were in Blackrose at that very moment. A lot of things happened in a very short interval of time. Jungkook suggested to rest here for a while before leaving.
Alpha Kim was not in the state to travel at that moment and Alpha Jeon just woke up. After a long while friends united and they were having their time.
Alpha Kim and Alpha Jeon's friendship was an unbreakable bond. Every moment together they were used to savour it. Even if they were not in the condition to roam around a friendly talk always works the best.
Their mates were by their sides taking care of them while they sat on the bed staring at the sunset sky from the huge window. The large black clouds were surrounded already and it was pretty sure that it'll rain at night.
"You didn't tell me what happened in your trip, Ji-sun-ah? How did you even end up on the seashore?" Alpha Jeon asked pressing his hand on his friend's hand.
"Long story," Alpha Kim sighed putting his other hand on top of Alpha Jeon's.
"We've a lot of time, sir," Alpha Jeon let out a chuckle looking at him with waiting eyes.
Alpha Kim smiled sadly looking away, the burden on his heart was huge and the guilt kept killing him. He never wanted to keep his daughter in dark but he was scared, scared she'll hate him; her own father.
"It's okay if you don't want to tell me," Alpha Jeon pressed his hand on his shoulder.
"You deserve to know, Jung-Hyun-ah," Alpha Kim sighed, turning over to look into his friend's eyes.
✤
"All of it happened so suddenly, I had no control over my actions, but trust me I had no bad intentions. If I knew—" he confessed everything and his voice cracked all the time not knowing what his friend's reaction is going to be.
Alpha Jeon and his Mate stayed silent all the time. He indeed patted his friend's shoulders a few times when he saw Alpha Kim was struggling a lot but other than that he stayed silent.
"I'm just . . . so guilty," he sighed looking down at his lap where his mate was holding his hand tightly.
The old friend inhaled heavily and then raised his hand to hold his other hand, "A righteous man will own up to his faults, that's the difference between good and evil," Alpha Kim looked up to meet the other's sympathetic pair of eyes boring into him. He was vulnerable and impotent.
"I must say you committed a sin, but you owned up to it, you worked to make it right, Ji-sun-ah. For your children to be happy you tried your best to make it right." Alpha Jeon paused, "Y/N is an outstanding woman. Perfect in ways to overshadow her weakness, you did a great job as a father," he patted on his shoulder assuringly.
"I don't know how I'm supposed to admit this in front of them," Alpha Kim gulped, looking back down to his lap.
"There's no need to, Ji-sun-ssi," Luna Jeon interrupted looking at them with a satisfied smile.
"But they deserve to know the reason behind their misery, Ju-hee-ya," Luna Kim blinked back the tears pooled in her eyes.
Luna Jeon, "I know they do, Yeon-ah-ya but there's no need anymore. The curse is lifted and they're happy together now,"
"When they're trying to fill their present with happiness, why bother remembering the past?" Alpha Jeon added, "There's no way we can change it and now there's no harm from it so . . . forget it," he smiled looking at his friend assuringly, somehow his words made Alpha Kim feel less burdened.
It was indeed true. What harm is done we're unable to undo it but letting it demolish their present wasn't the best choice either.
"I pray to the moon goddess, Keep them safe and happy, let them cherish their love and soul," he prayed, "They have my prayers, don't worry," he spoke.
"They have my prayers too!" the Lunas spoke in unison.
✤
"Princess, you can take bath now, everything's ready," the old lady gestured her hand towards the bathroom, giving Y/N a polite bow.
The sky was a little cloudy and the breeze was chilly, winter rain is always a heartwarming sight. And when it snows it's even more overwhelming.
Being all cuddled up in your mate's arms in such weather is a feeling worth calling paradise. She was waiting for Jungkook patiently staring at the window. The maid's sudden remark made her snap back to reality and she turned to look at her.
"Now? I was waitin—" her words never came out of her mouth when she glanced at the end of her gown. It was all muddy and stained. She was there without even caring to clean her up, she went to the seashore barefoot and her clothes got ruined.
She really had no regret about that. Her dress can be fixed, but she needs to clean herself before her mate comes back. She got up and followed the lady to the bathroom; the one belonged to Jungkook.
His minty scent was lingering in there and she could feel him everywhere. She changed her clothes and entered the pool resting her arms on the sides. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes feeling the warmth all over herself; the freshness of the incense mixed with the floral water.
The maids prepared it for her especially together felt like a ride to paradise. It made her remember how Jungkook and her own scent felt when they mingled together. Just the thought of that night made her cheeks flush with rosy pink, she blushed smiling with her eyes closed.
"It's relaxing," she mumbled, inhaling deeply, soaking herself in the water letting her body rest.
"Very much," she heard a low whisper near her ear, her alone time got interrupted when two hands snaked around her. Her eyes flutter open and her hand in a reflex went to his chest putting distance between them.
Jungkook tilted his head slightly looking down at her bare glistening wet shoulders, her wet hair ends. but it felt like he was ignoring to meet her eyes. Y/N bit on her lower lip melting in his soft embrace.
He leaned forward turning his own back to the pool's wall and pulled her on his lap, pressing her back to his chest. Y/N giggled when he snuggled in the crook of her neck while hugging her close.
His hands settled on her stomach drawing delicate circles and holding her close. She could feel his heartbeat through her back, she felt how his pounding heart relaxed near her when he inhaled her scent, she bit her lower lip holding a giggle.
"How about you stop biting your lips and start biting mine?" he teased, trailing the tip of his tongue on her neck teasingly, but his voice sounded defeated for an unknown reason to her.
"Aish . . . Jungkook, stop," she hissed trying to turn around to look into his eyes.
But his arms tightened around her making her unable to move. Her chest tightened, this wasn't how he was, she knew that much. He never rejected her eyes before and his behaviour felt like he was hiding something.
"What happened?" she asked softly, pressing her hand on his. He didn't reply but instead snuggled more in her neck inhaling deeply.
"Jungkook? Why you're blocking your mind link?" still no reply, her patience was wearing off and her heart started to beat even more faster.
"What happened Jungkook? Tell me, please, I'm your mate," his grip on her waist loosened and she turned around to look at him.
"Nothing, just stay like this . . . please," he answered, still looking down at her shoulders.
"Then why are you blocking our mind link?" she cupped his cheeks making him crane his neck to meet her eyes. She never saw him like this, puffy eyes, bloody red, pooled with tears, but he wasn't allowing even a single drop to drop down anymore. He looked so lost and shattered.
"Jungkook? What happened to you?" she pressed her hands on his cheeks.
Her own eyes teared up looking at his state. She pressed her lips on his lovingly, as if it was a confession, she accepted him as he was. But that kiss was a demand too, for him to trust her.
The block on his mind link broke and he hugged her waist kissing her back. A tear rolled down her eyes dropping on his cheek and then gliding down their folded bodies.
She saw how much he was holding back. She couldn't help but press her lips harder on his, it was pure love, nothing else. She parted looking up at him, her eyes holding so many emotions.
"Let it out, it's okay to cry," she spoke and Jungkook shook his head adverting his gaze to the side.
"Emotions never make you weak Jungkook, It makes you feel alive . . . let it out, I'm here. I'm always here for you," she hugged him and kissed the top of his head, "Your emotions make you, you, Jungkook!"
He snuggled in closer and Y/N patted his back assuringly. The warm drops of his tears dropped on her bare skin and she kept him even close until he was ready to face the world once again.
Love teaches you so many things, doesn't it? It keeps making you weak, makes you think it's worthless, it makes you cry, it makes you weak. But in the end, you fight weakness for someone's love too. Feeling weak, is it a bad thing? Even weakness is an emotion.
Without a flaw, I don't think so there's a purpose for anything. Weakness is just so misjudged, don't you think so? All its life it gives you a purpose, it makes you feel alive and in the end, you leave it. But isn't it like true love?
It gives you a purpose to fight sacrifices itself just to make you stronger. Now I understand, why weakness is important, emotions are important. Because without weakness no one will value strength and without emotions, one will never value . . .
Love.

It's easy to hold hands...
But can you keep it forever?
A heart of gold graced with the shine of diamond...
She came from heaven with a heart feather bedded with a halo...
The pages of history hailed with pride at the courtesy of her eyes...
After all, it's something to think about...
What can be more powerful than the one who had the capability to set fire to ice?
