“Half truth is dangerous than millions of lies . . . brother,” Minho's voice became slow as if the lava which had burst out from the volcano just got frozen, his harsh voice turned soft and his hands dropped down.
Yeonjun raised his eyebrows when he addressed him as ‘brother’ and stared at him in confusion. Yet he managed to form some words and ask, “What do you mean?”
“I still can't understand how you hate your own people and trust a man like Luther,” a scoff immediately left Minho's mouth and disgust filled him up at the mention of Luther's name. He clenched his fists, his nails digging into the skin of his palm.
“He’s my father, our father!” hearing the younger's words Minho chuckled defeatedly.
“Yeah, a father who k-killed my mother and is the reason for your mother's death,” he felt his voice cracking up, the lump in his throat kept making it hard for him to swallow down.
A strong chilly wind gushed past him as if it told him to calm down. But he found it hard to look back into the eyes of younger, feeling his own eyes brimming with tears.
This was the most painful memory that he had kept in for so long. A memory he didn't tell anyone, a memory he can't forget, a memory which stayed so vivid no matter how hard he tried to forget it; he could never. The guilt and regret will forever be there in his heart, that heavy feeling he'll never be able to get rid of, the pain he'll never heal from.
“What? He said he loved her,” Yeonjun exclaimed and looking at the confusion on his face Minho smiled, a smile to threaten the tears brimming his eyes from falling down. He inhaled deeply trying to hold back the emotions, at least he tried.
“He said he loved her too,” a lone tear rolled down his cheeks without even him realising.
He regretted it immediately, shutting his eyes close and clenching his fists harder than before, “I could have blamed your mother for my mother's death . . . maybe it would have made me feel better,”
“But I know she was in-innocent,” he choked on his words, finally looking up into Yeonjun's brown orbs. Yeonjun's eyes widened when he witnessed Minho's bloodshot red eyes pooled with tears, the nerves of his neck popping out and his face red in anger.
“You know what? . . . No, actually you don't know anything,” he grabbed Yeonjun by his shoulders and jerked him forward, giving him no chance to react. He stepped dangerously close, pushing his back against the harsh tree bark again.
“I was six years old when I saw my mother and that son of a bitch I'm forced to call father fighting!” he shouted, his ears turning red and voice booming in Yeonjun's ears, his grip getting tighter on his shoulders with every word he forced his tongue to form, “My mom was furious! Why wouldn't she be? He raped another woman in their bed while she heard everything!”
“Another w-woman?” Yeonjun knew what he meant and where it was going but he couldn't believe it was his mother.
“Yes, and you're getting it right for the first time in a while, congratulations my dear younger brother!”
“Mother . . .” the younger mumbled looking down at his feet, letting the tears wash over his grief.
Minho, “He killed my mother, he choked her to death and then staked her heart right in front of me. I was too scared to get out of that damn closet . . . she died in front of me and I was helpless,” More tears flooded down rinsing his pale cold cheeks with a tinge of warmth and he reminisced that day feeling the same pang in his heart.
His mother's helpless and struggling cries, begging to let her live echoed in his head. He couldn't do anything to help her, heck, he didn't even have the courage to face that monster who's responsible for all this, that is a regret which will never leave him.
He couldn't forget the sleepless cold nights he spent without her, her warm embrace, her melodic voice when she sang him lullabies, he missed her more than anyone.
“And you know what hurts more?” Yeonjun looked up when Minho paused.
“When he came and said that you; werewolves were the reason my mother died . . . I c-cried in his arms,” his words were laced with disgust for Luther indeed but no less for himself, “I had nothing l-left and till now I acted like I believed his words,”
Yeonjun could see his figure shaking when he tried his best to maintain his posture, he could feel the pain in his voice when he mentioned his mother. But he could also see the disgust reflecting on his face when he mentioned Luther, he could feel his hate for him accumulated for years.
“That’s why brother, even if you think of me as a jerk, I care about you. Halfbreed or anything, even if we're still strangers you're the only person left I can actually call family a-and I don't want you to do something you'll regret forever. I saw how Jungkook never attacked you that day,” he paused, then continued.
“How can you be so blind, Yeonjun?” slowly, his grip loosened and his voice softened. But his eyes were brimmed with disbelief, an expression that almost covered the hurt in his eyes, almost.
“The sincerity I saw in his eyes that remained after the sense of betrayal, how can you ignore it so easily? Why Yeonjun? Why ruin a family; a brotherhood like that?” Minho questioned, expecting him to understand but instead, Yeonjun looked at him with fierce eyes, full of rage and hatred but they spoke more of pain.
“He killed my mother!” shouted the younger, pushing Minho away from him.
Minho, “Were you there? You saw him doing that? And even if he did . . . did you ask for an explanation? I can understand your pain brother! But remember betrayal isn't a thing anyone will ever want!” he couldn't understand the hunger for revenge in Yeonjun, what made him so blind that he wasn't even thinking straight but only wanting to kill his own brother.
“Even if I want to, they'll never accept me! I'm a cursed being for them; a vampire!” Yeonjun yelled, stepping back.
“You still have a part of them in you!” Minho scooted closer but Yeonjun stepped away, shaking his head in disapproval.
“You don't understand . . . I can't live like this. I don't deserve anything! I have nothing left to return for!” he blabbered the words looking at Minho but it felt like he was telling it to himself more than him.
He shook his hands vigorously gesturing Minho to stay away. His head felt like spinning and the earth beneath him slowly fading, he stumbled his foot slipped, he fell down meeting the cold snow.
“Br-Brot—” Minho tried getting closer to hold him but before he could even take a step ahead, Yeonjun quickly got up on his own and ran away, leaving him and their incomplete conversation behind.
“Yeonjun!!” he yelled behind his back but Yeonjun didn't listen and kept running.
“There's no meaning left of this life!” some faint words said by him reached Minho's ears and he hurried after him.

A chuckle escaped from the mouth of the brown-haired girl sitting in the same dark room from before, in front of that circle, satisfaction could be seen clearly on her face. She was having the best time of her life while playing with her spells and powers.
The rage within her was equivalent to the fire burning in front of her. This was her last move that she saved from the beginning. She was giving them a taste of her own poison, a poison she had been drinking all her life.
All these years of dealing with the pain of being lonely when she waited with the hope of having a companion, someone in this world who will understand her, love her, accept her. But no, it's like god forgot her when he was giving everybody happiness.
This was finally her chance to shine and get what she wants not by begging but by power. It had been enough of wait and patience for her and she couldn't wait any longer. She let out a scoff, running a hand through her hair.
“Now, you all will know how it feels without your wolf, how it feels to be powerless!”

“Jungkook! Watch out!!” Taehyung and Jin shouted together at him. Jungkook narrowed his eyes trying to register their words and realised where he was.
He quickly turned around and saw the vampire lord levitating above him. He sped toward Jungkook to attack but his reflex was quick enough to dodge his attack, making Luther land on the ground, a sigh of relief left Jin and Taehyung's lips.
“You got some good reflexes, must say,” said the Vampire Lord, standing up against him once again.
“And you got some good cowardliness to attack on my back, must say,” Jungkook clicked his tongue, mocking him with the same intensity earning a chuckle from Luther.
“Well, it's fun,” he shrugged earning an eye roll from the Blood Moon King.
“Let's make it more fun then,” Jungkook smirked and was about to transform into his wolf when he heard a cough behind him. He glanced back for a moment to see a silver blade emerging from Taehyung's huge black wings, piercing through a Vampire's heart and he coughed out blood.
Taehyung looked devilish and powerful, his aura radiating the dark energy. He dropped the Vampire on the ground, blood dripping down from his wing's blade. Soon, the vampire turned into ashes and Taehyung turned to look at Jungkook.
“Jin hyung is shifting the injured to a safe place and I'll take care of the rest of these filthy bastards,” he began, “So, you deal with this zilch looking son of a bitch,” he added, indicating toward Luther.
Jungkook nodded vigorously, agreeing with Taehyung. He was still not able to understand how Taehyung and Jin got powers like angels and the devil. But looking at the grace and connection between them he was fascinated and believed it was all Moon goddess's doing to help them out.
In that situation when the werewolves were unable to transform and fight, Taehyung and Jin were no less than God helping them out. He smirked, getting himself back and transformed into his huge deadly black wolf, eyes shining crimson, the rage evident enough to make anyone tremble with fear.
Luther hissed before shapeshifting into his giant bat form, his ears became pointy sharp and fangs grew in size, his white milky body and huge wings came in sight. He traced his tongue over his fangs and charged toward Jungkook who let out a howl before lunging toward him as well.
They both clash together but Jungkook ended up hovering over him and he was about to dig his canines into his flesh but Luther flew out of his grip. He levitated in the sky, holding his neck and cracking it. Jungkook watched enraged, growling.
The Vampire lord scoffed and pounced toward him with speed attacking Jungkook's throat and dragging him on the ground along with himself. Jungkook struggled scratching his face with his claws.
Luther's grip loosened and he let go of Jungkook. He hissed in pain, touching his face and then staring at his blood-stained fingers in shock.
“That scar looks good on your face, handsome,” he teased but that was a true compliment too.
Luther sneered at him, licking his fingers. He tried healing the scratch on his face but it didn't happen, it stayed the same. He tried doing it again and still nothing. He clenched his fists and the frustration was evident like bold ink on his face.
For the first time in his life, he wasn't able to use his healing powers. He turned back into his human form and looked at Jungkook, eyes giving that look of hatred and anger which he had inside for him.
Hate is a terrible thing. It's a wasteful, stupid emotion that can only exist where there is no understanding. And Luther was no better. He was so intoxicated by the hatred for Jungkook and greed for superiority that he could see nothing but just wanted to put an end to his life.
“What happened? Can't heal your wound?” Jungkook laughed at him then became serious once again, “I'm the Blood Moon King, you fool. None of your powers will work over mine,” he added with pride and strength glinting in his eyes and Luther chuckled devilishly, appearing right in front of him.
“Fear will flow through your veins soon, kid,” and then he disappeared with speed, his voice was filled with mockery and his eyes were filled with hatred; God knows for whom. It was hidden deep inside his crimson orbs as if it tried fading but he kept it buried inside with force and might.
Jungkook chuckled before turning into his human form, “Oh? What's that? I don't remember a word like that,” he made a puppy face, shrugging off but the next moment, his face became serious and he transformed back into his wolf form, charging toward Luther who did the same.

Jimin sat behind a huge rock while Jin tried healing his broken elbow. It happened when a Vampire attacked from behind him while he was already fighting with one. Jimin was so shocked seeing his hyung with those wings and halo that he wasn't able to form words. He just watched him healing his elbow, silently.
“I know you must be surprised, Jimin,” Jin began and Jimin looked at him hesitatingly, “But trust me, I'm clueless myself. I'm just thinking of it as moon goddess's doing,”
“After all, in this situation where y'all can't do anything, isn't it like our goddess is helping us out herself?” he completed with a sigh leaving his mouth and gently placed Jimin's elbow down.
Jimin tried moving his arm slowly to see if it was actually healed his eyes widened a fraction when he didn't feel any pain and stared at Jin with a glint of admiration.
“M-Maybe,” he said lowly, after decades of silence because he knew his hyung won't hurt him. Jin smiled slightly at him, checking if he was hurt somewhere else when they heard someone's voice.
“Hyung, you've wings!” they turned toward the owner of that voice to see Namjoon supporting Hoseok.
“And a halo . . . oww!” Hoseok exclaimed in shock and a yelp left his mouth because of the force he put on his already hurt ankle.
Jin, “I don't have time to exp—” his words died at the back of his throat when his eyes fell on the scene behind Hoseok. He saw Luther and Jungkook fighting and a shadow approaching Jungkook from behind. Filthy vampires and their backstabbing culture, no believe in genuine fights.
Jin hissed and wasted no time flying toward the scene. He picked him up amid the way before he could even reach Jungkook and threw him down the cliff, his eyes looked at him with fire disgust, his halo glowed above his head a slim thread like light and the vampire turned into ashes.
Jin then moved his eyes here and there while still levitating in the air to see if anyone else needed his help and his eyes landed on, Taehyung. He looked so fumed and outraged in anger, his eyes were like shadows, just darkness.
When he pierced one's heart, the blood evaporated out of them like water. Skeleton like bodies were dropped on the ground, everything about him looked so demonic that his own spine shivered. Jin hesitated, for a second his eyes flickered with fear.
“You met him Taehyung and he's the only thing you need to heal yourself. You two portray the same brotherhood as your grandfathers,” Clarissa's words rang inside his head, he could sense a part of him dying to hold Taehyung, to embrace him, to calm him down.
Jin stared at him hearing a painful shriek coming out from a vampire's mouth from afar, his eyes widened at the realisation; Taehyung was so determined that he was getting absorbed by his own powers.
He reminsced their conversation with their greatest maternal grandmothers and Helena's voice rang into his ears once again.
“You need to ignite your powers, Jin. Taehyung will never be able to control himself without you,”
