LOCKHEART PACK

The clear rays of sun, shining above in the blue sky today were overwhelming in another chilly day. The guards—all armed—stood at either side of the main gates of the palace. But as if the bright day didn't want to stay any longer, a sudden thunder rumbled in the sky—engulfing the clear blue sky into its darkness.

Even though the weather was rather nice today than yesterday, it changed dramatically in just a blink of an eye. The guards eyed up at the sky in confusion. The change of weather they've witnessed in just two days is terrifying and it never meant anything good, always coming with bad luck.

“This weather scares me nowadays,” the guard spoke to the other guard, a sigh escaping his mouth.

Just when the other guard turned towards his side to respond, a flash of light hit the ground making both of them close their eyes in reflex. They stumbled back from their places and the next moment their eyes opened, they witnessed a black scroll hanging in the air.

“What the heck is that—” he was about to touch that piece of paper when a sudden force threw him back. It was as if a strange power was protecting it and the guard wasn't allowed to even touch it.

“No, don't touch it! Call your highness!” he shouted making the other guards pull their hands back and running towards the one laying on the ground groaning in pain.

The guard strode toward the inside of the palace, he entered the main hall letting out a huff, his eyes searching for the Alpha, “Your highness!” he shouted and proceeded to the stairs, running up toward the Alpha's room.

“Your highness!!” he halted in front of the Alpha's room and knocked on the door furiously.

After a few knocks, the door opened revealing Taehyung with his eyebrows furrowed and Solar coming from behind him.

“What happened? Why are you yelling?” Taehyung questioned with a puzzled look and worry in his voice.

“Are you okay? Why are you huffing?” Solar asked eyeing the guard anxiously.

“Your highness, there's—” the guard huffed, “there's something strange outside . . . something like a scroll,” he added.

“What? Again?” Taehyung breathed, rubbing his forehead and biting his lips.

“Let's go and check first,” Solar came forward placing her hand on his shoulders and he nodded.

The guard's previous yellings caught the other's attention too, the others came out of their rooms and ran toward them as well with confusion in their eyes. Soon they were standing near the main gate facing that scroll hanging amid the air.

“Oh my . . .” Luna gasped, covering her mouth with her palm. Taehyung and Jungkook clenched their fists in anger. It was the second time all of them were witnessing such a thing, however, it still is unusual for them.

Taehyung snatched the scroll in a swift, starting to read what bullshit that Vampire Lord has uttered once again. With every word that he was reading, his grip on the paper was tightening and he threw the scroll away, tearing it half when he was done reading it.

“The smaller packs were attacked by the vampires,” his fists and jaw clenched, “And we're called at the Rougeward,” he paused, “for a . . . war,” he added making the other's eyes widen. They knew the filthy Vampire Lord and his dirty tricks but they never expected he will shamelessly call for a war.

“Rogueward, that old cliff? . . . it's dangerous,” Yoongi murmured the last part to himself.

“Jung—” Taehyung was about to call his name when Jungkook got a sudden mindlink of Namjoon. Jungkook gestured for Taehyung to stop with his hand and he focused on his mindlink from Namjoon.

“Yes, hyung?” he asked.

“Jungkook, the s—”

“Scroll? I know about it, we received the same at Lockheart as well,” he completed what Namjoon was about to say.

“You need to hurry and come back to the pack then, we have to go to the Rougeward,”

“I'll be there soon, hyung. Please just take care of the pack till then,” he answered and turned off the mindlink.

“Our pack received the same scroll, and I assume the other packs did as well,” he turned to look at Taehyung.

“This is not gonna be any small fight, that darn Vampire Lord is for sure planning something big. We can't risk anything, we need to shift everybody to Blackrose,” he breathed.

“Everybody will be safe in the Rose chamber,” he looked at Luna this time, assuring her their safety with just eyes.

“Rose what?” Taehyung questioned.

“Rose chamber, a secret basement build for situations we're in today,” he explained and Taehyung nodded.

“But how are we gonna do that? Blackrose is very far from here,” Yoongi questioned the very obvious.

“And it's not even safe for everyone to travel there, who knows where the vampires have hidden to attack,” Yibo added as well and everybody had the same look of stress on their faces when a voice rang in their ears.

“There's a way . . .”

Everybody stood near a wall in the basement of the palace, their eyes roaming here and there, eyes forming wrinkles, stating their confusion. It was because they haven't seen this basement even if they knew every single nook and corner of the palace they lived in.

Luna let out a sigh before moving the small wolf statue, sculptured on the middle of the wall. Just as she did that, the wall slid outside and flipped to the other side. Everybody was taken aback by the opening of a sudden secret door as a dark tunnel behind that wall came into their sight then Luna began to speak.

“This is a secret tunnel, for emergency purposes, which connects Blackrose and Lockheart. Our families were allies from ages and that's why our ancestors agreed to make one if any trouble arrives,” she paused for two seconds then continued.

"And Alpha Jung-hyun and Ji-sun are best friends as you know . . . they protected that relation," her eyes glinted the pain when she took her mate's name and it can be seen in every one of their eyes.

Y/N came forward squeezing her hands, “Mother,” she softly spoke and Luna nodded.

“For now, we can use it,” Luna spoke looking at Jungkook and Taehyung.

BLACKROSE PACK

“Where is he, Namjoon? Didn't you tell him to come back soon? Where's Jungkook?” Luna questioned Namjoon for the ninth time and desperation was written all over her face.

Even if she was trying to stay calm, she couldn't, the worry for her child was eating her up. Even if he was the Almighty Blood Moon king, he was her child first and no mother would want anything to happen to her child.

“Luna, please, calm down, Lockheart and Blackrose are quite far from each other, so, it's taking him a little longer, but he said he'll be here soon,” Namjoon politely replied trying to calm down the anxious lady.

“But—”

“Mother?”

Luna turned around at the voice to find her beloved son standing there near the stairs. She ran toward him, engulfing him in a tight squeezing hug. Jungkook patted her back with his right hand since the other one was still intertwined with Y/N's.

“You're fine, right? Did something happen?” she anxiously checked him out, up and down.

“Mother, mother . . . I'm fine, calm down,” he softly spoke making Luna sigh but then her eyes fell on his hand.

“You—” she was about to curse him once again but then saw the Lockheart family and held herself back.

“How did you get here?” she questioned because they weren't coming from the entrance but the inside of the palace.

“The tunnel,” Luna Kim spoke in his place when Jungkook was about to open his mouth to answer.  

“Ah, I almost forgot about the tunnel,” Luna Jeon said lowly when her eyes searched for a particular someone.

“Where's Alpha Ji-Sun?” she questioned when she couldn't spot him and Luna Kim sadly smiled before telling her the truth.

“I'm so sorry, Yeon-ah,” she came forward, embracing her into a hug and patting her back. Alpha Kim Ji-sun was her friend too and this sudden news of him not being in this world anymore took her by surprise. Even her own mate is in no better condition.

“It's okay, Ju-hee,” Luna Kim sadly smiled, pulling away as Luna Jeon rubbed her arms. Suddenly her eyes fell on Jungkook and Y/N's intertwined hands again, her eyebrows raised in confusion.

“What is that?” she asked, pointing toward their intertwined hands.

“Oh this?” Jungkook uplifted their hands and Y/N tried to pull it down, feeling a little embarrassed.

“She is my mate,” he answered proudly making Luna Jeon's eyes widen in a mere second. She was shocked but happy, having her best friend's daughter as her son's mate and the next queen felt like a blessing to her.

“Jungkook,” suddenly Namjoon came running toward them, “We don't have time, we need to shift everybody inside the Rose chamber,” he spoke and Jungkook nodded.

“Get it done. And yes, take them as well. I brought them here because it will be safer together than scattered. Hyung, don't forget about Queen Martha, make sure she's protected with guards,” he ordered the last part through the mind link so that nobody could know.

“Don't worry, I've already done that,” Namjoon slightly smiled, earning a nod of understanding from him. He then looked at the Lockheart's royalties and politely asked them to follow him.

“Jungkook,” Luna spoke again when everybody was gone.

“Yes, mother?” he answered.

“Ji-hyun . . . she's here,”
