Do you know how it feels when your feet are tied and you're said that you can fly? That rope tying your feet is giving you rashes, blood gushing out of the wounds. But the hope inside you, your heart isn't dead.
You want to fly, even if would take forever or would be hard, you want to. You don't want to give up yet. That is a kind of feeling lingering around Yeonjun's mind and heart.
Life was like killing his hopes once and then building them up again.
Once, he got to know that the only person he loved more than himself in this world, admired more than anyone even if he didn't get much of her attention. That person; his mom is no more there for him.
And the one who killed her is none other than Jeon Jungkook; the boy, his mother cared for more than him.
Then, a vampire out of nowhere appeared claiming to be his father? How was he supposed to feel? How was he supposed to believe that creature? Nonetheless, it made him believe him because it all made sense.
He was a Vamp-wolf; a hybrid of a werewolf and a vampire.
No wonder why he had blood lust, why he couldn't go in sunlight, why he hated garlic, why he had great hearing capability. It all did make sense. He was shocked but not disappointed.
After all, he got to know that he wasn't just a mere gamma but he held the powers of a Vampire; he could avenge his mother. Luther told him how he ended up being a vamp-wolf. He said that he and Martha were in love but the respective communities didn't accept their love.
They believed that a vampire and a werewolf can never be together. There was a war between the two communities where the Vampires lost. The Vampires had to call off; he and Martha didn't get to be together.
The werewolves won but Mr. Choi ended up losing his life in the war. Martha was pregnant with Yeonjun; Luther's child at that time. Everybody thought it was Mr. Choi's child but it was actually his; Luther's.
He and Martha had been meeting up behind everyone's back because they would kill her if they got to know about it and it happened in the end...
He ended up losing his love and Yeonjun ended up losing his mother. What an ironic life right? If it took his mother away from him, it gave him his father. He didn't know what to feel or say when all this came down pouring on him one by one.
He wasn't ready for it, he wasn't ready for any of it. But still, he held onto it for his dear life; his mother. He believed everybody has their bad days like the clouds of rain but once they go, the sun shines; happiness comes.
He felt a hand over his shoulder amidst his thoughts as he snapped out it and glanced beside him to see Luther looking at the front.
“Here we're, welcome home, my child,” Luther announced, wearing an ominous smile at the corner of his lips.
A huge palace stood on the ground in front of their eyes and it screamed nothing but evilness. Yeonjun could feel the dark vibes it was giving. Luther glanced at Yeonjun before swaying his hands forward as the large and slender gates flung open.
He gestured him to enter as they both walked inside. It was as if darkness possessed the castle, there wasn't even a single ray of light entering inside. Candles and firelights were lightened to enlighten the castle.
Luther took him inside as they walked through another corridor and finally entering a huge room where he could see other vampires like him standing. A huge throne was visible at the end of the room which he expected to be Luther's.
The other vampires gave him not-so-pleased looks as they walked close. Luther swung his cape in a dramatic manner and sat on his throne, Yeonjun standing beside him silently.
“Call him!” Luther ordered with authority in his voice as a silver-haired man bowed and walked out the room.
Just a minute or two later, a blond boy having an impassive face just like him entered the room. It was evident that he didn't want to be there.
“Come here my child, look who's here? Your brother!” He raved as the latter's eyes widened a little but they held their composures. They didn't expect to meet their siblings.
Oh, how many women had this man fucked? This was what they had in their mind.
The boy walked over to where Yeonjun was standing and extended his hand because he knew Luther would tell him to do so; befriend his brother.
“I'm Lee Minho, your elder and step brother.” Minho offered a handshake with his expressionless crimson eyes. Yeonjun narrowed his eyes before looking at his side to see Luther eyeing him to go ahead. He sighed and went for a handshake.
“Choi Yeonjun.” Yeonjun almost muttered those words and pulled back his hands.
“Can I go now?” Minho asked, tugging hands inside his pockets as Luther gestured with his hands and he walked away.
“My lord!” A voice broke off the silence and all of them looked to see a short boy bowing at them.
“Yeah, changbin?” Luther asked calmly as the boy proceeding with his words.
“Would you mind if we show around the palace and his room to prince Yeonjun?” Changbin said glancing at Yeonjun.
“Sure, go ahead. It'd be good if you guys will get along.”

“So you're the Vamp-wolf huh? Our little hybrid?” The blond-haired guy taunted Yeonjun. He laughed along with his friends which surprisingly included Changbin.
They all were laughing their asses off as if they were watching a comedy show.
“Oh Bangchan, he must know how to howl like Aauuuu..!” Changbin imitated their howl followed by the others.
There was a glint of annoyance on Yeonjun's face as he was done with them making his fun and their childish mockings from past an hour because he was silent. The world always misunderstands someone's silence as someone's weakness, don't they?
But they never know what a person is hiding behind that silence. It's enigmatic, it can be anything. They don't know that the silence can destroy them if the person wanted to.
And Yeonjun was having enough of it. Even if he was upset from his wolf community, he would never ever bear its insult, especially from these two-faced creatures.
“Why don't you say something huh? You scaredy ass little hybrid!” Bangchan picked in Yeonjun's chest with his finger.
Yeonjun let out a heavy sigh of frustration and glared at him. He was about to lay a punch right on his face when a familiar voice interrupted them.

Minho was passing through the backyard to his room as he was tired and wanted to have some sleep when he heard some voices coming from the other side.
His ears perked up when they caught the voice of his friends laughing and he picked on a specific word 'little hybrid'.
No way they're doing this to him!
He sped up towards the other side and what his eyes caught the light of, gave a strange feeling inside him. He saw how they all were picking on Yeonjun. He saw how Changbin was imitating their howl and Bangchan picked on Yeonjun's chest.
He strangely felt bad, very bad. He didn't deserve this insult. He closed his eyes, clenching his jaw and fists tightly. And when he opened his eyes, he saw Yeonjun glaring at Bangchan, his fist high in the air.
He couldn't let this mess be created here and Luther know about it or these all piece of shits will end up losing their lives.
He ran at the speed of light towards them, calling to stop their actions immediately, “What's happening here huh?” He sighed when he saw Yeonjun pulling his hand back and everyone looked at him.
“Oh hey, Minho! Nothing, we were just having a little fun with our new prince. Wanna join?” Bangchan tittered along with others, running a hand through his hair and Minho cackled, stuffing his hands in his pants' pockets.
“Fun? With him? Is he even fun? C'mon guys he isn't worth it!” Minho made a disgusted face at Yeonjun.
The others burst in a roar of laughter and nodded as they went with Minho, putting hands around his shoulders who glanced back at him once and went away.
Yeonjun stood there looking at the man a bit suspiciously and sighed when they were out of his sight. He kicked the rock with his feet feeling angry.
The wind blew slow and soft, his hair blowing tenderly. He watched the dark sky freckling with little stars and a moon as always looking calm and aesthetic.
The backyard was clean and calm yet it felt too quiet to him, unlike his previous home; the Blackrose palace. It screamed nothing but sorrow.
He leaned his back on one of the thin walls like things and spotted another little rock on the floor as he started rolling it beneath his feet.
A frustrated sigh escaped his lips. He let those guys make fun of him. Is that how much of a pathetic and helpless person he is? Cannot even stand for himself?
Life's really testing him, and it's not like he cannot go through this but damn, he needs a break to catch up his breath at least.

Luther stood there near his window with a glass in his hands filled with alcohol. He saw that, he saw whatever the boys were doing to Yeonjun. He saw what Minho did, he didn't really know what was going in Minho's mind to do that.
But that look he gave Yeonjun, it wasn't of hatred, he didn't hate him. It's more like he wanted to save him but at the same time, he didn't want to commit it in front of him.
He swirled his glass, taking a sip. Yeonjun reminds him of her; Martha. The features of his face, his hair, his temper, the way he talks and walks, it's all same as his mother.
He couldn't lie that he misses her. He should have had her beside him, in his castle before it was too late. He knew something was off, his gut told him. But he didn't know it would be that bad.
He didn't ever expect Jungkook to kill his Mother Martha that brutally, guess that boy didn't even waver once.
He sighed putting the glass of alcohol down and looking at Yeonjun leaning on the wall, his head hung low and playing with that rock with his feet.
He couldn't save her, but he can at least save him, his son...
His thoughts were interrupted when a knock came on the door of his room. He turned around to see his most trustworthy person; his valet, standing at the entrance.
He put down the glass of alcohol and gestured him to come inside as he sat on his armchair which rocked back and forth, letting his mind rest a bit.
“What is it, Oven?” He asked lowly but it reached the eardrums of the valet anyways.
“My lord, don't you think it's time we start unwrapping our plan?”
