JUNGKOOK'S POV

I wake the way kings wake, just the same. We are all blessed with the same time, the same experience of consciousness.

My eyes greet the day shine, my heart and lungs expand. Slowly and reluctantly, I uncover my face, I blink, close my eyes, and blink again. I sit up, drag my feet off the bed, and rub my knuckles onto my eyes. Stretching my arms above my head and I yawned.

I watch my legs dangle above the white polyester carpet, and felt my throat dry so I poured myself a glass of water. Taking a sip, I walked towards the window, and as soon as I looked down, I spat out all the water out of my mouth at the scene in front of me.

"What the hell? Who's that?" My eyes widened looking at the scene in front of me.

My mate was laughing, giggling, but that's not the problem, The problem is why she was laughing with another man. A man was so close to her, tickling her while she was so absorbed in laughing and playing with him.

"I don't want to admit it, but--" Frost said and I cut him off, "But she never laughed like that by my side. Pretty sure I never saw that boy in the party that evening." I gritted through my teeth while looking at them chasing each other and laughing like no tomorrow.

I'm the one supposed to make her smile like that but she always ignores me and look at her now, playing and soooooooooo close to another man.

Looking at her smile my eyes softened as the innocence on her face made her look more than ethereal. But then my eyes landed on that one guy who just completely ruined my morning…

Knock-Knock

A knock on the door caught my attention as I turned around to meet Mr.Kang's eyes.

"Sorry to disturb your morning your highness but Alpha Kim is out for some reasons. And he will be absent for some days. So Luna asked you to at least stay for today." Mr. Kang said and my eyes traveled back to Y/N as I clenched my fist, looking at how beautiful and mesmerizing the scene is.

Please note my sarcasm!

"Hahaha…"

I craned up my neck and turned back towards Mr. Kang, "Sure!" I smiled slightly assuring him.

"Thank you, prince, the breakfast is ready, please get freshen up, the royalties are waiting for you." With that, he bowed and left.

"Yup royalties are waiting except Y/N, she's enjoying her beloved time." A sarcastic chuckle left my lips.

AUTHOR'S POV

"Happy" for Jungkook, was a relative term. He saw what it took for the rich to be happy, yet for the poor, it was a slice of bread and shelter for the night.

Happy was something that elevated the spirit, lifted one from the mire of whatever was normal. Maybe that's why he noticed Y/N. She wasn't like that at all. She had an inner happiness, one utterly independent of the outside world.

She smiled as it burst from within instead of being worn like an obligation in the way others did. However, she's being so silent right now, her head hung low, just eating her food without caring about anything else around her.

“Is she doing that on purpose? Trying to ignore me?” He thought mentally scoffing because when he saw her in the morning from the window, she was looking so happy with that "guy" who's now sitting beside her.

And it's awaking a strange feeling inside Jungkook.

Authors : *sniffs* “We smell jealousy!”

“Shut up or I'm gonna scratch your face bitches!” Jungkook rebuked.

Authors : “Since when bunnies started scratching? Oh well, you're reminding us of Yoongi!” We laughed together.

“You--”

“So, Jungkook, how's everybody doing there?” A voice caught his attention and he jerked his head towards Luna, maintaining his gestures as he assured.

"Yes, everything is alright though!" He thought about his father but calmed himself down thinking this isn't a place to talk about that.

"How about Joy? That girl is a little funky. I hope she doesn't bother you all that much." Yoongi said munching on his food.

"Nope! She's pretty decent and Luna likes her a lot tho, and even Jimin looks a lot happier than before." Jungkook answered and all of them nodded happily and asked about each other's family.

Jungkook's eyes were stuck to Y/N, and moreover on Yibo, he was scanning him up and down with a deadly gaze. His eyes widened more when he saw Yibo turning towards her with a spoon full of food.

"Say Aaaaaaa!" Yibo brought the spoon full of rice near her mouth and Jungkook rolled his eyes to the back when Y/N happily smiled taking a bite and smiling at him.

"That's not fair!" Frost sadly whined.

"There's nothing fair! Life's fucked up and my love life? Let's not even talk about that." Jungkook replied his wolf while poking the food in his plate aggressively.

"Here eat this, eat a lot of neat. Look at yourself Y/N, you're getting so weak." Yibo placed some more meat on Y/N's plate and Luna looked at Jungkook then at the other two knowingly but was unable to say anything so she continued eating in awkward silence with a tight smile.

While Jungkook was ready to play archery with Yibo as his bait.

"It's Prince Jungkook's first time staying here, let's go have some fun." Taehyung said excitedly and everyone nodded, meanwhile Y/N was thankful to his brother, literally giving him blessings in his heart.

He was indeed yearning to be with her but the fear of losing her eating him up inside...

But you know as people say...

When the spicy pepper gets hold over your tongue making your body fume...

That's the moment you crave the sweetness of sugar to its utmost...

Yeah, you guessed it right...

Sweetness is that feeling of love...

While spice pepper is that feeling of jealousy and anger...

And I swear...

This time the pepper was way too spicy for his tongue to handle...
