I sat in Aunt Arista's office staring at the ground as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. Nuri sat beside me, her leg bouncing up and down from nerves. What was I supposed to say? How would I get out of this? Lila could very well lose her life and then everything we did would have been for nothing.

"Do you think she'll tell our parents? I can't get grounded again! This will be my second time in a month" Nuri groaned. Rolling my eyes I looked towards the door. Aunt Arista would be in here any minute.

"Nuri... we have to come up with something. Lila could die today.... we can't let Wesley go down for this either" I whispered already deep in my thoughts. I  had to come up with an explanation as to how I knew Lila. But this was going to prove difficult, we also needed to explain why she was hiding in first place.

"Why don't we say she's from the neighboring pack? We'll say she ran away from home" Nuri said snapping her fingers.

"Yes but then we'll still have to explain why she was hiding" I pointed out. Placing a finger on my chin I didn't have any more time to think as Aunt Arista made her way in the room. She took a seat across from us, her golden eyes reminding me of Wesley's.

"Girls I've already informed your parents that you are here. They are on there way but more importantly. This is a serious situation... speaking to a rogue who hasn't been reported to the alpha. This is a serious crime here" she said with a serious expression.

I glanced at Nuri from the corner of my eye to see her biting her lip. Dont screw this for us Nuri! I thought as I cleared my throat. As long as I remained confident, there was nothing to worry about.

"We understand Aunt Arista. But Lila is not a rogue. She's from the neighboring pack. Plus she goes to our school, she just ran away" I said trying to appear confident. My hands were clenching my skirt so hard, they were turning red.

"Then tell me Adora. Why was she hiding in another pack members basement? I've already checked with the school officials. They haven't registered any new students".

Shit how was I going to explain this?! I needed to tread carefully. Lila's life depended on this!

"Well Lila's always been.... a free spirit. We told her she should start school but instead she wanted to relax a bit. She's been fighting with her family... that's why she ran away". I mentally patted myseldf on the back, this way Lila wouldn't be punished severely.

"Then why wasn't the alpha or myself informed? Adora this all seems shady to me... so think carefully". I gulped deeply as my aunt leaned closer to us from her seat.

"It must have slipped our minds. You know how us teenagers can be" I  said with a smile. My aunt relaxed in her seat closing her eyes. She mumbled about being tired and I instantly sat by her side.

"You should rest Aunty, Wesley will surely be worried about you" I put on a worried expression as I grabbed her hand in mine. Nuri silently gave me a thumbs up, we were safe... for now.

After waiting in the office for two hours my parents came rushing in. "Adora get over here right now"! My mother growled with an angry expression. I hid behind my dad who was holding Amelia.

"Astrid my love calm down, I'm sure Adora has a reasonable expl-"

"No Cohen! She's need to be taught a lesson, not to get involved in adult issues! You always defend her that's why she is spoiled"! My mother narrowed her eyes between me and my dad. Meanwhile Nuri had been dragged out by her mother by the ear.

"We will talk about this when we get home" My father declared, causing my mother to stomp out of the room. I gave my aunt one last sheepish smile before heading out to face my potential doom.

Arista sat back in her husband's chair taking a deep breath. She felt a slight headache coming on and she massaged it gently. She took deep breaths as she realized there could be no further action on this mysterious werewolf until she contacted her husband.

With a deep sigh a knock on the door could be heard. "Come in" she spoke allowing for the person to enter. She was surprised to see  Lauren.

"Lauren, I wasn't expecting you" Arista said glancing over at the girl. In here eyes she seemed like the perfect mate for her son. But a part of her knew her son's heart belonged to another.

"Yes luna I well... I have something I  need to tell you... it's about Wesley" she stuttered biting her lip. Arista frowned deeply at the mention of her son.

"What about Wesley? Here have a seat" Arista said gesturing towards the brown couch. She got up from the desk to sit across from her.

"Well Wesley was the one who found the rogue... but Adora begged him to help her. She convinced him to hide the rogue for some reason and I begged him not to! He just wouldn't listen to me" Lauren explained her eyes goings wide.

"That's impossible Adora has already explained everything to me. But I will investigate this closely... I think it's time they came back" Arista concluded. Things were about to get messy knowing after she told her husband about this he would be furious.

"Mrs. Luna... I really care about Wesley... I think that Adora might be... forcing her feelings on to him. You don't need to worry she's my good friend I'll be sure to keep her in line" Lauren smiled big in satisfaction.

"Thank you for your concern Lauren, you may go" she dismissed the girl as she watched her leave the room. Picking up the phone she dialed her husband's number.

"Hey honey, we have a situation"....
