"Someone better start talking... my patience is wearing thin"! Wesley's father spoke as we stood in his office. They had arrived back two days ago and the alpha had summoned Wesley Nuri, Lauren, and myself to talk about the case. Our parents stood waiting outside as this was a... confidential case.

"Why don't we start off with each of you telling your part of the story. Lauren, I know you told me that Wesley found Lila correct"? Aunt Arista asked standing by the alpha with her arms folded.

Lauren licked her lips as she looked nervously back and forth. "Yes luna, that's what I  was told".

"And by who exactly"? Lauren looked to me and Nuri with a look of guilt. I stood face blank as Wesley secretly grabbed my hand in his.

"Adora... she told me that Wesley had found the rogue". I tightened my hand in anger... how could she do this to me? Had our friendship meant nothing to her? I could see Nuri fuming as well beside me. She too looked ready to beat the crap out of Lauren.

"Adora is that true"? The asked with a stern voice as if daring me to lie. I glanced at Wesley as he gave an encouraging squeeze.

"I....yes alpha" I muttered in defeat.

"This has now become more serious. Lauren and Wesley, you know that any activity or misconduct going on you must report it immediately! So I ask Wesley why would you risk the safety of your pack for a mere rogue"?!

The alphas voice carried throughout the room in a rage. He stood at his son with fire in his eyes as if any wrong word he said would result in something bigger and worse. I glanced at Wesley from the corner of my eye. He did not falter nor did he look the least bit of scared, he stood with his head raised high.

"I wanted to help her. She had lost her entire family, she was scared. I didn't have the heart to just report her when she was in such a state". Wesley's voice bounced off the walls with the utmost confidence.

The alpha slammed his fist on the table nearly breaking it in half. "I thought I raised you better than this! You are the future alpha yet you failed to submit to the one pack rule! What if this rogue had done more harm? How would you explain this to the higher werewolf council!? This is why your kids were not to get involved"!

"Uh alpha if I may... I did warn the others about this... but they were reluctant to listen to me" Lauren said looking at the ground in shame.

"Bullshit Lauren! You knew about Lila and you still didn't go straight to the alpha! We aren't stupid" Nuri growled. They stared at each other ready to battle it out.

"Enough! Each of you will be punished equally. I will inform your parents, no one is to talk about what was said today. Do I make myself clear?

We nodded our heads and were dismissed. Wesley had to stay back while Nuri, Lauren, and I walked out back to the main hall. I roughly pulled Lauren's arm back to stop her from walking. "What the hell was that back there?! You totally ratted me out... I thought we were friends!

Lauren frowned deeply while folding her arms. "I was trying to protect Wesley, and besides you knew this would eventually happen... it's not like I spewed lies" she shrugged.

"What happened to bitches before snitches... hoes before bros? You literally blew Adora over and you're going to sit here and say you were trying to protect Wesley"?! Nuri got in her face and I already knew this wasn't going to end well.

"I did what I had to do Nuri! I don't expect you to understand! You aren't a werewolf so I suggest you stay out of pack business! You both brought this on yourselves" Lauren smirked proudly as if she had won the lottery.

"It's not worth it Nuri... let's go" I muttered pulling her arm and nearly dragging her down the hall. I suddenly felt emotionally drained ans a dull ache of pain began to start in my bad eye.

"I can't believe she blew you over like that! Anyway, she'll get what's coming to her" Nuri muttered angrily. I had a sudden urge to see how Lila was doing. So instead of going towards the main hall, I dragged us towards the dungeons.

"Adora where are we going"? Nuri kept asking as I dragged her down dark dewy steps. The dark halls smelt of death and I could hear the howls of prisoners that were locked in each of there cells.

"I want to check on Lila," I said continuing down the dark steps. I covered my nose as a sour smell wafted in the air making it hard to breathe. Rotten plates of food sat in front of each cell making the smell even worse.

We stopped in front of what looked like Lila's cell. Only to see her lifeless body battered and bruised. Her chest had been ripped open exposing her main arteries. The blood from her body looked to be gone as her eyes no longer moved with life.

"Who the hell would do this? She didn't even get a fair trial" Nuri muttered with angst. She was right Lila hadn't had the proper trial she deserved. It was like someone had purposely gotten rid of her.

A sudden wave of sadness hit me. Lila had desperately wanted to find her little brother. Now she would no longer be able to do that. "We are going to find out who did this" I muttered with determination.

Lila deserved justice. And that's exactly what I was going to do.
