Meaning, My life will be extremely busy with work, and schooling this upcoming fall. But i am so happy to update for you guys! I love you! I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Drake's POV

"Wait, So you are saying this really hot guy asked you out for coffee and you said no?" My friend Morgan asked. I nodded in shame.

"He's probably another one of those guys," I assumed, looking down at my cup of tea. What I mean by that is the guys who use you and then drop you once they get bored. I've been in lots of those, to be honest.

"Drake, you don't know that. Just because one bad relationship, your only relationship since then, does not meant every single guy is like that." Morgan stated clearly. She's wrong. I don't trust anyone after him. Morgan is lucky I trust her.

"Yeah," I mumbled before taking a sip of my tea. Just as Morgan was about to speak, her phone started ringing, making her sigh deeply. "Work," She mouthed before answering.

"Yes, Mr. Grayson?" She greets. She nods and says, "Yes, sir. I am actually at the coffee shop right now with a good friend of mine. I'll bring you your usual." Then hangs up. She looks at me and groans.

"Sometimes I really hate being an assistant to the CEO," She says as I chuckle. "At least you have a job."

She grins from head to toe, making me nervous. "I can get you a job at where I work. There is Plenty of Lawyers in need of an assistant." She offers. I shook my head. "You don't need to do that, Morgan. that's too much." She grinned and said, "Drake, you're my best friend. let me do this for you. It will be good for you to get out and keep distracted."

She's right. Working and staying busy is a good distraction from my thoughts.

I sighed and finally caved in. "Fine," I mumbled. She smiled so big. "Yay! I'll call you with the information. But, for now, I have to go." She rushes off. I rolled my eyes and got up from my seat and waked onto the busy streets. Loud horns, cars, bikes, road work and pedestrians talking filled my ears. It's a wonder you can't hear any of this on the inside of the buildings. It's crazy.

The way that everything is so loud and hectic, soon becomes so silent that you hear your thoughts even clearer. Me, I think way to much if you ask me. that's why maybe the job is a good idea. So I stay distracted and busy from them.

Thoughts are hell. Hell is inside your head constantly.

I walked up the steps and unlocked the door to go up to my small apartment. Noise rattled through the walls, people shouting at each other made it's way out in the halls. The apartment is not much. But it will do until I get a job. Don't get me wrong, this place is a shit hole. But, it's all I can afford. My cat brushed herself against my leg soon as I opened the door to my apartment.

"Hi, Chloe." I smiled as I picked her up.

She purred as I scratched at the back of her ears. "You want some lunch?" I asked my cat as I put her down, heading for her food.

As I put her food down, I sighed and made my way to the couch with a bag of Dorritos next to me. I began to flip through the channels on the T.V., trying to find something that will intrest me.

Failed.

There is nothing that interest me.

I grunted, chucking the remote across the room. I need a life! I said to myself. My eyes began to get heavy, soon enough I fall asleep to the annoying sound on the television.

~~~~
Loud knocking on my door woke me up from my deep slumber. I groaned looking at the clock.
Six A.M.?! Who the hell is at my door at six in the morning?! I stomped through my apartment, slamming open the door to reveal Morgan in her work attire.
"What?" I asked, digging my eyes as I turned around and started to walk back to my bed.
"i tried calling you over and over again. You never answered my texts either." She pointed out.
"I fell asleep," I said as I laid back in my bed. She grunted and ripped the blankets off of me.
"you got the job and you start today. So get ready!" She yells.
I'm pretty sure she has awoken the whole apartment building by now.
"Wait, did you say I got the job?" I asked her, raising an eyebrow. She nods and says, "Yes, now get your white ass up."
I got the job? I actually got a job! At a major company that is. Me, the person that has a shitty life actually got a job?
I got up excitedly and got ready for the day.
"You know, we have about ten minutes to get out of here!" Shouted Morgan anxiously.
This girl, I swear. She is going to be the death of me. She is going to be the reason why I end up dying of natural causes.
I sigh, slipping on my black vans and walking out into the living room. I don't look professional at all. Morgan does though. I have a jacket and skinny jeans. Pretty basic if you ask me.
"Soon as you get your first pay check, we are getting you work attire." Morgan says as she looked at me in pity. She knows what my situation is like. She still feels bad for me that I have nothing.
"Tell me why you insist on feeling bad for me. You know I hate that." I say as we walked out of my front door.
She sighs and says, "Because Drake, you are my best friend. We have been for years. it sucks to know you live in a slump like this." It does suck living here, but it is something until I find something better.
We take a taxi to the place where I will be working at for the time being.
I look at the place in shock. Who knew that my therapist office will be here also. But hey, at least I have work here then I can have appointments after work. I know Morgan said something about her working on the top fool before. Which is surprising because this building has twenty seven floors.
Soon as we stepped out of the taxi, we made our way into the building and into the elevator. My nerves began to hit to the max and I scooted in the back corner of the elevator, fumbling with my fingers.
"Drake, everything will be ok.You got me. You'll do good." Morgan says before the doors of the elevators opened revealing a lobby with a receptionist desk right in the middle. A sign hung on the wall that read, "Grayson Law". People rushed through the lobby, talking on the phone and carrying brief cases. This is too much. There is way to many people. I looked over at Morgan with so much horror.
"I can't do this," i say in fright. Morgan sighed. "You can do this. You'll be ok." She reminds me grabbing my hand and pulling me through the crowd.
Stay calm, Drake.
Stay calm.
You can do this.
We stood in front of a door that read, "Mr. Grayson CEO/Head Attorney"
"This is where I or whom I work for. I'm his assistant." Morgan says as she smiles and begins to show me around the office We come to a stop in front of a door that read, "Leah Fay, Attorney" And I guess this is whom I will be working for. Morgan opens the door revealing a tall, slim beautiful blonde overlooking the city while on the phone.
"I don't care, Do what you have to do to get the job!" She says before hanging up. She turns around and smiles.
"hey Morgan, who's this?" She asks, looking over at me.
"Your new Assistant, Drake." Leah smiles as she walks over, shaking my hand.
"Well it is nice to meet you Drake. I am glad that you get to work with me, cutie." She says, making me blush.
Before she can open her mouth to say something else, a familiar voice interrupted her.
"Hey, Leah. Do you know where Morgan is?" I turn around, looking at the Greek god that I turned down. He looks down, scrolling through his phone, typing away.
Morgan chuckles. "Mr. Grayson if you would look up you would know I am right here." She says, making him look up. He looked at Morgan then looked at me, raising an eyebrow.
"Hi," I mumble nervously. Well, looks like this is who I turned down.
