At an Unknown Location

    Six soldiers covered in sand and blood opened their eyes and looked around finding that they are still in a desert. A brunette looked at her teammates and slowly got up and cringed at the pain in her right arm,

    "Hey! Guys! Get up!"

    The black-haired boy got up and winced at his head,

    "Where are we?"

    No one knew where they were. The only thing the Blazing Dragon squad knew was that they were in the desert...yes they all survived. Ester looked around and smiled,

    "Is everyone alright?"

    Everyone nodded Billy nodded,

    "Alright, it looks like it's night time, so let's see what direction we should start walking in,"

Ester nodded,

    "Yeah I guess, but where would we be going?"

    Javier shrugged and so did everyone else. Nikki sighed,

    "I think we are in the same desert, and the base should be like to the North,"

Ester nodded. She started slowly walking with everyone following her. Quin then yelled out in pain and everyone turned to him clutching his ankle. Ester immediately went to his side along with everyone else,

    "Cannon, are you okay?"

    Quin shook his head,

    "My ankle,"

Ester nodded, Damion and Javier immediately helped him up wordlessly and the group of six started walking again. They stopped after the sun started setting back up to look themselves over. Ester saw that Quin's ankle was in a weird position and she found a slim rock and nodded,

    "We will need to just go with this rock and use it to make a splint."

    She ripped her pant leg slightly and tied the fabric and rock to his ankle as a splint. Nikki frowned at Ester,

    "Flare, your arm,"

    Ester looked and saw that her arm that was hurting her had a huge bruise on it, purple signifying a break or a sprain. Javier immediately took off his jacket and tied it around her in a makeshift sling. They all had many gashes but wrapped the big ones with cloth from their shirts or pants. They started walking again.

A Lot of Walking Later

    To say that they were exhausted, was to undermine the pain every single one of them was feeling. They were all sore and heads were killing them. That was when they saw the tents. They all breathed out a sigh of relief as they felt a weight lift up from them. They walked faster but were saddened when they saw that the site was cleared out. Ester sat down in defeat along with everyone else. Damion looked around,

    "Now what?"

    Ester sighed and looked around,

    "We should look for medical supplies I guess...find some clues,"

    What they didn't know was that an ambitious and stubborn cadet was flying there from Chicago because he refused to believe that the strongest people he knew were dead. Ester was the first to hear footsteps,

    "Guys! Someone is coming!"

    They immediately grouped together in front of Quin since he was the least mobile. that was when Javier was the first to spot who it is,

    "Hey! It's Liam!!"

    Liam heard something and ran to the sound. He gasped when he saw his mentors standing, alive,

    "Oh my god!"

    He ran up to them and saluted immediately,

    "Blazing Dragon Squad!"

    Ester chuckled and nodded at him,

    "Cadet Diason, enough with the formalities...catch us up,"

    Liam smiled, happy that his role models were alive,

    "You all are assumed dead *They gasped* because the search team found your dog tags where a big explosion happened. Officer Shadis told us and we all couldn't believe it. We all got a few days off so he could tell all of your families. You guys have been dead for a bit over a week, I was told that they left this base and I didn't want to believe you guys were dead. So I got Shadis to let me come. I am so happy that you guys are alive,"

    The whole squad was shocked about what happened. Ester put a hand on his shoulder,

    "Thank you Liam...we gotta go, where is the jet?"

    Liam smiled proudly,

    "Over here, follow me,"

    They walked over to the jet, Quin still being supported by Javier and Damion. The Pilot was shocked that this cadet was right and immediately called ahead saying that they needed the medical team immediately when they landed.

A Few Hours Later on Land

    Jesse was on the medical staff to meet with the Squad that was thought to have been wiped out, she could not express her relief when she saw the adults leave the jet. She rushed over to them and scorned them but hugged each of them carefully and they laughed with her. They were taken to the infirmary of the Chicago camp. Shadis ran inside as soon as he heard the wonderful news. He sighed in relief when he saw his kids breathing and alive Ester looked at him and smiled tiredly,

    "Heyyyy!"

    Shadis didn't say a word as he walked up to her bed and brought her into a hug. Ester was shocked when he hugged her but hugged him back and smiled. Shadis smiled and sighed as he got out of the hug,

    "Don't you ever fucking do that again,"

    Ester chuckled and shrugged,

    "Sorry?"

    Shadis chuckled and nodded at her teammates,

    "Congrats at arriving home alive,"

    Ester smiled and looked at her arm,

    "Yeah, I sprained my arm and Quin sprained his ankle. Everyone else has gashes and tons of bruises. Also minor head busts haha. Are you okay?"

    Shadis smiled gently and nodded,

    "Now that you are safe, yes I am."

    Ester smiled and soon fell asleep, now at peace in the presence of Shadis and Jesse.
