(27) This means War

Damira

My howls of pain echoed throughout the Island. The damned moon now gone and replaced with the morning sun. The pain of my mates agony haunting me all night.

The castle was in a disarray, it's cause by my rage and guilt. I let her go. Be taken by that bastard. I chuckle darkly. Word would have already spread and mother would be laughing in her chair. Mocking me.

Well fuck you mother. Fuck you Moon Goddess. Shits gone down the drain and you guys were the ones expecting it. "fuck you!!" My voice let's out a raging scream, shouting so loudly it rattled the office windows.

I'll get my revenge. I'll kill all those rogues. However I have one problem. We were ambushed to the point we've lost lives. Many warriors and innocent lives were taken away by those filthy rogues. My army has pretty much dispersed. Not many are willing to fight now after loosing some companions.

Sighing, I slump heavily into my office chair, hands over my face in exhaustion. I couldn't do anything. Davis or... Homer as we've discovered, knocked me back so easily. That strength shouldn't even exist, let alone on an Alpha.

I don't even know what's happening to Soleil. Last night, that wolf had bitten her. It may of been shallow, but she's half human half wolf. Being bit, even though it's a full moon, she can shift as soon as her genes activate. I worry my lip with my teeth, nawing at them.

"Maria..." I murmur, catching my whimpering wolf.

"I can't feel her, Damira..." She whispers.

"Will she turn, Maria? Will she?" I ask in panic, edging towards the end of my seat.

"I don't know... Damira, if she does we won't be there. It'll be her first shift it has to hurt..."  I whimper softly, coming to realization. A wolfs first shift always burns. The pain becomes so unbearable, some don't make it. To help with a persons first shift their mate or someone they love can comfort them. But Soleil is all alone.

Damn it!!

"Damira," I turn wildly towards the door, Baden standing there. Bags under his eyes as he watches me with sadness. I growl lowly as I smell an unfamiliar scent.

"Whose there?" My Alpha tone slinking in. Baden turns his head into the hall, nodding slowly.

Beside Baden stands a rather tall man. Red flaming hair, green eyes and... Pointy ears. A Faery. I growl lowly, watching the man bow slowly. "What is a Faery doing on my Island?" I direct my question to Baden but the man answers instead.

"Apologies, Alpha Queen. My name is Cassian Flounder. Crown Prince of the Spring Court. I've come for your help,"

I wave my hands in the air, sarcasm lacing my tone. "Right, and we don't need the help! My mate has been taken and my Island under attack by these rogues! Not to be an ass but I can't help you, Faery!" The Crown Prince of Spring nods his head, worry lines etching his tired face.

"My father and younger sisters have been kidnapped by the same enemy. Homer wishes to use our power to overtake this island and my home realm."

"Wait wait, he's stealing your Faery power to what, take both our world's? How is that possible, to take ones power?" I frown in thought. I'm pretty sure there isn't anyone in existence that's learnt how to steal ones powers.

"That's the thing, it is possible. He's taken the Old Witch." My eyes widen an inch, standing up now. The Old Witch is a myth. A story to scare children to be aware of the dangers of the night.

"But she's a myth," I echo my thoughts. Cassian shakes his head.

"No, she isn't. She's been around for centuries, hiding from us with the help of the Gods. Homer found her and kidnapped her,"

"So he's using her to take your Faery powers? She can do that?" I ask in disbelief, watching the Faery in front of me. Far out. Why can't things be so simple around here!!

Groaning at the confirmation, I lean back into my chair, heart thumping with pain. Soleil.

"How can you help me and I help you?"

"I will lend you my men, my power and revenge. My family and home is in danger and so is yours," he replied, hardened in anger. I nod, taking him in.

The Fae live in their own realm, a world parallel to our own. No one knows how to get into their realm, nevertheless know how to leave the realm.

"Baden, has father left or is he still here?" I ask, turning to my brother. His face contorts with pain.

"Yeah but... Mother is also here..." He trails off as the look or pure rage forms my face, a snarl ripping from my lips.

"Why is that whore in my house?!" Baden flinches, sliding closer to the Faery as if he can protect him.

"Father bought her for her safety." Baden murmurs.

Growling, I storm down the hall, sniffing for the disgusting scent of my step mother. The woman who abused me to no end. Slept with other men behind my father's back. She had always disliked me, because I'm another woman's child. I don't know my birth mother. However all I knew was that it was father's worst mistake. He had sex with someone other than his mate. That's what my birth mother was. A mistake. My step mother reminded me every day.

I would tell my father of what has happened but, he never believed me. Always trusted his mate over his own child. However, on my fifthteen birthday, I took over the leadership from my father. To say the least, she wasn't happy. Her unborn child was to become the Alpha but unfortunately, the pup died in her womb. My father later found my step mother trying to kill me in my sleep.

I banished the two from my castle. My pack. For five years it's been peaceful without her. But now she's back. But there will be no way she'll land a finger on me. I'm different now. I'm Alpha Queen Damira Wolfe.

And there she sits, sitting with a cup of tea, chatting with my father. I let out a snarl, catching their attention. "Laura!" I growl out, curling my fingers around her throat.

"Damira! Put your mother down!" My father shouts.

"She's not my mother! Will never be my mother!" I let the leech go, letting her fall back into my father's arms. "why is she here!?"

"For protection, Damira! All Alphas are to protect the people of their pack whether they are good or bad!" I growl, turning away. He was right yet that woman has hurt me in every single way.

"Fine but one wrong move, your out you got it?" They both nod and I turn to leave, finding Cassian and Baden. I step towards Cassian, my mates pain increasing rapidly. I may not be mated with Soleil yet, but I can feel her through our bond. And she needs our help.

"I will help you in return, you'll help me. This means war," we shake hands, setting down the deal.

Watch out Homer. You have no idea how angry you've made this wolf.

Soleil I'm coming.
