(24) Greetings, Alphas
Soleil
Say, lets improvise, Alpha King. That mate of yours will be mine either way, but humor me tonight, Alpha King and maybe, just maybe I won't kill you.
Those where the exact words written down on the crumbled letter. I had clutched Damira's hand tighter as her raging wolf started surfacing, her anger skyrocketing. And I have never seen Damira this mad before.
Whoever this guy is, we know he will be here tonight for the Annual Meeting Ball. I'm not sure whether I'm nervous or frightened. Sighing softly, I caress my long locks, the tresses curled elegantly over my shoulders. The dress wore was hard to explain. The dress itself was practically made out of the stars and the moon. It was the color of royal navy blue, silver sparkles as the stars and behind me in a trail was a silky cape. Absolutely beautiful. I caresses the silky blue length, smiling softly. Is it really okay to wear something like this, at a time like this as well?
Shaking my thoughts away, I place my silver heels onto my feet. "Now, doesn't my mate look amazing," the familiar sound of my mates voice flutter through the room. Turning slowly, I smile widely as I find my mate dressed in a similar way. Instead of a dress like myself, Damira adorns a elegant playsuit, the galaxy theme however no cape.
"Thank you," I reply, taking my hands in her own. "You tidy up well," Damira kisses my cheek tenderly, rubbing her nose down my neck. I resist the urge to moan as she peppers kisses between my shoulder and neck.
"Only for you, my love." Damira purrs against my neck before kissing my nose. "Are you okay? You've been pretty quiet since..." Since the letter.
I give her a reassuring smile, "I'm fine. Just a little worried about the Island is all." Damira hums, caressing my cheek, the pad of her thumb caressing under my eyes.
"Me too but as their leaders, we need to be strong and reassure them all that everything will be okay." I nod slowly, leaning into her warmth. I bite my lip, the four words silently leaving my lips. "Come, we should get going. We must greet the Alphas of the North, West and South." Damira clasps my hand softly, kissing my knuckles with a cheeky smile. I roll my eyes and follow her out, the halls nearly empty bar a few Warriors.
"What do you reckon will happen tonight?" I ask, our matching heels clicking against the marble flooring.
"Honestly? I'm not sure. Lets just hope throwing caution in the wind is enough to help us if we get attacked." I nod silently, clutching her hand tighter. I've never been in a fight. Never seen blood and gore before. Not even in a movie. I've always been a bit skirmish watching that stuff.
"I think we will be fine. We have the Royal Warriors and plus the Alpha's warriors coming tonight. We got this in the bag." Damira chuckles softly at my confidence, wrapping an arm around my shoulders and kissing the side of my head.
"I love you, you know that?" My heart hammers in my chest, eyes widening at the realization. Did she...
"I-" I couldn't comprehend what just happened. I... I don't... Damira smiles softly, her grip loosening.
"There isn't any rush, my love. Come the Alphas are about the arrive." Before I could get a word in, Damira walks us towards the entrance. Baden and Jack standing by the doors at the ready.
"Alpha Queen, Luna King," they greet, bowing their heads. I smile at the two. The boys wore black and blue suit, hair neatly tucked away.
"Is everything ready?" Damira asks, her voice colder. I frown softly. Was this my doing? I hesitated in saying those few words. Baden and Jack nod.
"Yes Alpha Queen. The other Alphas are almost here, just beyond the gate. Ready when you are." Damira nods, opening the two large oak doors.
"Lets greet these Alphas then," I follow closely behind, standing on the front porch of the Pack House. With a wave of the hand, the large gates open wide and three carriages roll through. I take in a deep breath, watching the beautiful horses pull the carriages. Will the Alphas see me as a weak human? Will they accept me? Biting my lip I seek out Damira's warmth and comfort. She easily wraps an arm around my waist, her eyes sparkling with joy. I mirror her smile and face forward, the tall figures now stepping out of the carriages.
We a firstly met with a woman and a man. They bow deeply, "Alpha Queen, Luna King," The woman, dark hair and pale skin glowed under the moonlight, her curvy figure hugged into a red ball gown. Beside her, the man quite similar to herself however bulkier in size. His hair cut short.
"Alpha Joenna and Beta Lion, Welcome to the Royal Pack. My mate and I are happy you have arrived." Damira eyes them, her soft smile gone and replaced with a cold stone mask. I smile for Damira, kindly gesturing towards the ballroom.
"Welcome, Alpha and Beta. Please head on inside, drinks are being waited for you," The two bow deeply, their eyes however locked on me even as they pass. I couldn't a read on them but I shook it all off. If I'm by Damira's side, everything will be okay.
"My Queen, my King," an unfamiliar voice knocks me from my thoughts. Stood before us was two men. Their hands intwined tightly. I notice the mate marks on both their necks and the dark mate tattoo connected. I smile at the two, happy to find a same sex pairing just like Damira and I.
"Alpha Finn and Luna Callum. Welcome and thank you for coming," Damira replies, her stone exterior softening at the two. "My friends, come in side. My mate has prepared a wonderful Ball for tonight." At the mention of me, the two turn, their eyes widening, lips turning up. Shyly, I nod at them, smiling softly.
"Welcome. As Damira said, refreshments are there for your use." Alpha Finn and Luna Callum bow deeply once again, patting Damira on the back as they leave. I turn to Damira, frowning.
"I never knew males could be Luna's too," Damira turns to me, amusement twinkling in her beautiful blue eyes.
"Of course, my beautiful curious mate. Anyone can be anything, no matter who they are," she pecks my lips softly before turning to the last of our guests. And I wasn't too sure if I like these two. The woman who I'm assuming is Alpha wears a scowl, the man beside her huffing and puffing. I frown at the two, taking a side glance at Damira's tense figure. Did she not like them as well? The woman, a red head wearing a suit of armor turned her gaze towards me, a furious glare my way.
"So, Alpha Queen, you've finally gotten your Queen." She starts, turning her fiery gaze away from me and towards Damira. Damira growls lowly.
"Watch your tone, Alpha Yuki. That is my mate your talking about." The man beside Alpha Yuki rolls his eyes.
"A human one." He mutters, distain lacing his tone. I frown deeply, annoyed at this. These two are judging me based on what their looking at but they really haven't taken the time to get to know me.
"Well," I start, drawing their attention. "A human who has been chosen by the Moon Goddess herself. Would you go against the wishes of the Moon Goddess?" Silence. "Thought so. Now if you will, please come inside. The Annual Meeting Ball has started." and with the pivot of my foot and the flip of my elegant cape I left the bastards behind. Damira following closely behind.
We share a grin and head inside the Ballroom, charging through our destiny together. However when i enter, I lock eyes with familiar brown ones. My eyes widen as I take him in, the dark hair in the familiar bun, the large cocky smirk upon his lips. The guy from the stairs!
"Damira," I murmur, not taking my gaze away. The man looks away however, chatting to a young woman beside him. "Who is that man?" I gesture to the mysterious man. Damira hums, eyeing the man before leading me towards the throne.
"Davis Michail. He is the best warrior in my pack. He also trains the young ones." I nod, unsure. "Whys that?" Damira takes a seat in her throne, placing me upon her lap.
"Nothing. Just merely curious." I don't know about curious but that man gives me bad vibes.
Damira kisses my knuckles, a blush spreading upon my cheeks as I realize that I'm upon Damira's lap and cuddling her in front of an audience. Great, this will be a long night.
Hiiii beautiful human beings!
How are we doing today? Me? I'm doing just fine ~
