"Criminal location set. He's perched on the tower like some kind of bird."

"Would you care to be a little more serious about this?"

"Not really."

Despite her joke, her voice was as nonchalant as ever. This was a normal occurrence, Park was a sarcastic young girl. Her best friend and team partner was sitting right beside her in the car. He was far more serious about his job, but that didn't mean Park didn't take her work seriously. She knew her job was important, she was mature in her own way.

Tasuku didn't mind though, they were close enough to joke around about these things. Underneath his serious face at work was a lovely young man who loved buddyfighting.

"Ready?" Park passed the boy beside her a knowing glance.

"I'm ready." Tasuku replied with a nod. "Let's get to work, Jack!" He raised his buddy's card into the air as the automatic doors on the car had opened. Jack-knife dragon was summoned, and his buddyskill had activated. Two glowing circles appeared at Tasuku's shoes which gave him the ability to fly. Jack had flared his wings out with a rather intimidating battle cry. He was always ready for a fight.

"Are you coming?" Tasuku looked over at Park, who gave him a ghost of a smile.

"It's showtime." Park summoned her buddy, The Black Waltz, Dokkaebi. He was a wizard looking monster with glowering, crimson red eyes. On his head sat a brown wizard's hat, and his cloak was adorned with dark blue feathers. His black feathered wings allowed him to fly just as well as Jack. Identical black wings grew from Park's back, her buddyskill.

Both teenagers flew up to the top of the tower, where the barrier had trapped them all. There was no escape for the criminal now, who looked horribly concerned for himself.

"Tasuku, Park. Be careful. This criminal fighter uses Danger World." Takihara, another member of the buddy police had spoke through the ear pieces that both Park and Tasuku wore. Both teens listened carefully, but Park felt like that information wasn't needed.

"You have only two options. Hand yourself in quietly, or face either of us in a buddyfight." Tasuku showed off his glistening core deck case.

"I'll take you both rats on at the same time." The criminal fighter blurted out, regretting his words instantly.

Park raised a single brow, before looking over at her partner.

"I don't think that's a good idea." The white haired girl gave the outlaw a nasty glare. She wasn't a very intimidating looking girl, but that glare of hers sent chills up the man's spine. Even still, he didn't want to back down. Losing to a kid would be far too embarrassing, especially to a girl? He wouldn't ever be able to live with himself. Unfortunately for him, Tasuku and Park were no ordinary teenagers.

"You better watch your mouth, brat!" The man shot back, gripping his deck far too tightly. "I'll fight you, albino girl!"

"Oh yeah?" Park shifted herself to face the criminal properly. Despite her words, she didn't sound all that bothered.

"Don't let this get out of hand, Park." Tasuku placed a hand on her shoulder. He knew her extremely well, she was generally a cool headed girl, but some criminal fighters got on her nerves. Park wasn't the type to show pure anger, but her blank expression was more than enough to freak someone out. Outside of work, she was a kind and loving young girl.

"Oh- right. . ." She muttered before nodding. "I won't. I promise."

"Hurry up and fight me!" The man hissed, but Park refused to let him get on her nerves.

"Let's dance." With an almost sinister smile, Park agreed to fight the criminal.

Tasuku often worried about that girl. . .

"We're reporting to you live from the buddyfight tower! Buddy cops, Park Areum and Tasuku Ryuenji have a criminal fighter cornered!" The lovely news reporter was filming from a helicopter. Everyone would be able to see the fight now.

Including yourself.

You watched alongside your childhood friend Gao Mikado, from the buddyfight card shop.

Park raised her flag, she fought for Dungeon world. The criminal fought for Danger World. Although his world seemed to be more aggressive, Park's cards were mainly offensive. She liked to equip a weapon and stand in the center. The fight didn't last very long at all. Park had eleven life points, the eleventh being from her buddy call, Dokkaebi. She hadn't suffered a single hit. The outlaw was down to three life points, three measly life points.

"Damn. . . I couldn't land a single hit yet." The man was panting heavily, beads of sweat rolling down from his brow.

Park drew another card, sent it to he gauge, and then drew again. Tasuku's eyes widened as he saw the card she just drew. It was her strongest card yet, but Park made no attempt to use it, even though she had enough cards in her gauge. The blue haired boy couldn't help but smile to himself. Along with Dokkaebi, it was her strongest card, but she refused to use it against a low life.

"I equip, Ultima Blade." Park picked a weapon card over her impact, a beautiful sword that shimmered and glittered in the light. It looked like she had taken such good care of it, even though it was just a card.

"Dokkaebi, let's link attack the fighter." She pointed her blade at the mess of a man across from her.

She ended the fight within three turns. Not too shabby.

Once the fight was over, the outlaw was handcuffed, and prepared to be removed from the scene. Before they took him away, Park had made her way over to him, a gentle smile on her face. She looked so much more different than from a minute ago.

"You fought well. It's a shame you don't play this game for fun." The white haired girl gently placed a hand over the man's shoulder. "Please change and become a better person. I'll be waiting to buddyfight you again." She retracted her hand and walked her way back over to Tasuku's side.

A single tear pricked at the end of the man's eye. Her gentleness had truly touched him all of a sudden. Just like Park had said, it was a shame he didn't play buddyfight for fun. Despite the fact that he was humiliated by her to some extent.

"You didn't use it, again." Tasuku couldn't help but smile a little. He always loved how his partner treated the criminals after they lost to either him or her. Tasuku was as good as a fighter as Park, but he often relies on his impact card to win. Gargantua Punisher was a strong card, it was also one of his prized possessions. Perhaps Park's impact was too precious to use all carelessly. He understood, if she didn't need to use it, then why use it? Sometimes it's good to be a mystery to others.

"It's okay. I didn't need to." Park replied lightly. "Jack, I wanted to see you in action back there. You take the next criminal fighter, okay?" She reached a hand out and gingerly rubbed his head.

"Good work, Dokkaebi." The girl gave her buddy monster a genuine smile.

"It was my pleasure." The monster would always appreciate her kind words.

"Let's go on home then." Tasuku nestled his eyes shut for a moment, a kind smile on his face. The only person she'd ever used her impact card against, was him. . .

Impact.

The Black Waltz.
